  1. We have a great, Id say even perfect example of drafting OT on a team with Walker....plus Ill just toss in the solid respected vet Motown too. Green Bay used a 1st rounder to draft Jordan Morgan with the plan he's the LT. Short this story- Walker beat him badly, so bad they switched positions to OG cause using that 1st is too pricey to sit. That was in 2024, come 2025 in steps a new fresh hope for LT 2nd rounder Anthony Belton..... Another 1st TKO by Walker and the same "ooo my god try him at OG to save face"... Walker clear winner both times. I think even if the Panthers had first pick of OT, that guy is not unseating Walker or Motown. Now to talk out of both sides, Id still say using the 1st on OT is a wise move.......but if you believe panthers are in win-now mode and worry about 2027 in 2027 and factor in Walker beating any and all young pups..... the thing is, if this goes well enough...... Walker will want to re-sign here and he's still young for a LT...plus my god LT are the hardest spot to fill. Then Ickey makes a full recovery(just go along for now)...now you have 32 Motown, Icky back on a cheaper RT deal, and a happy LT Walker. Just making a case and filling in some history, now I still want to draft OT, just maybe not as hot to use the 1st with landing Walker..... I mean isnt using the 4th or one of the 5th better and smarter to develop a OT rather than 1st where you need to score TDs or stop them? But Im with you tho....AND I understand what I feel the panthers will do.
  2. I think we haven't praised Morgan/tilis enough. In this thread we have some huddles best and its hard to figure out what to do with the 19th pick, if you understand that. Im also posting what "I" believe they are doing and what I feel is best. Those FA signess send a clear signal- They are going all-in to win this coming season. If you factor that in, just believe it first, it 100% changes what going on with pick 19, cause 51st pick doesn't matter as the talent level drop is petty big between the two. So 19 is the biggest difference maker on the current plan of all-in for the 2026. Then you factor in who will be there at, (I better hold off on my other strong thought here- I think trade up is the best help too, yes using that 3rd to do so too...) DT, ILB(Allen? he didn't run), OC, QB(ooo my I don't want to rage drool my hate again about how I feel here, plus F it draft TY simp not joking)....... those 4 groups don't have the "BPA" at 19. You can add ILB Hill in there, but I feel 19 just is too high, other disagree. Slot or TE it is......Kenyon is the only TE worth a 1st and he's the classic draft dilemma- All sort of he's a top ten lock to he's a non-blocking one trick WR that's not even worth 2nd currency. Then there's he's the clear winner from the TE group, thus increases his value more no matter the opinion. Honestly I see the Matt Millen outcome as the current odds favorite, I think the huddle would go bonkers for weeks as result......just the truth tho, WR had the highest odds to be the clear BPA and slot is a need...plus if we are talking about Walker being a one year deal, Coker is a one year too(he may have another controll yr, I got to confirm it tho). Plus God forbid Tmac gets hurt, the drop in talent from him or Coker to Moore is fuging scary, I'd say more than the recent OT stone fellow. It goes back back to adding talent no matter what, draft now help, and where are the weak points are in the system you want to run....
  3. So a raw WR?? why is everyone all on his nuts then??, I get he's the top prize, but by your assessment this guy would take years to develop if he's able.... his combine has a XL notes....
  4. I have not learnt my lesson and will always want Uber athletic profiles. Sorry, Im a whore about it.... Im not the right guy to defend Kenyon, I just have a understanding with this years draft, numbers, and panthers roster. He is more of "upside/project" and we are talking 19th pick here too. I know about the years of all the mock drafts with TEs in them and I did want Pitts too.... Look I love the current TEs on the roster too, just this guy should be better than any of them at their best. Right now I feel OT is the correct target, but panthers as a org are trying to win in 2026 than 2027. So tea leaves and all, Kenyon would help this year. You can even say flex him to slot for most of the snaps and think of tmac on smoke routes with Kenyon blocking for him. I just hate BY is the shooter..... warren, I would say he's the better prospect even without his rookie year, *but he was late bloomer like XL if Im right, plus age was 25ish?? Bears picked love above him, mainly cause of recs. You can make a case that Kenyon is not a TE, but a moving weapon for offense that can be in the backfield, on the LOS, slot, and even X.... imean he's got XLs combine on some numbers.... He would be better to a offense mad scientist type...is that Dave? or is that bevell?? I think the Panthers should have him as a 19 pick, with others...
  5. They do not put him on the pedestal that we do, again UNC believes "hey MJ went to UNC" Kid- "so what how much money and playing am I getting, or many followers do I get?" Its 2026 brother and a whole new game, it hasn't made a difference in the last 20+ years. I mean it did to stack house and Vince, but we are talking 90s....... these new kids do not care, I bet not one of the last 40 or so came to UNC cause of MJ. its a different world, Davis didn't even ask for commish until it was too late. last firmware update is from 1999....
  6. I think its 1.49, but I will the the official time and numbers(he tore it up). Besides his frame, he's top .000001% But can he block edges?? what's his route tree?? those are the issues. personally I feel he should be in the discussion, among 4/5 others. Who knows the new hire Darrel bevell may change the offense system some, I hope he does......
  7. I want to post a few choice lines, its past time Davis needs firing..... get with the times UNC, dook has filled up the NBA with ballers and UNC is hang on to Vince Carter playing his 28th season. These kids do not care about Michael Jordan or Phil Ford or Big game James....If there not been a super player in the last four years, they could care less. So sad about the current state, get rid of the coaching bum!
  8. I mean this a ST signing and why not?? Dan took care of defense day 1 with Lloyd and Phillips and next day offense with picket(lololool), methie and Walker .....next up ST resigned martin for cheap and franks and this guy to round out a excellent FA period. Im still in shock panthers got the top 3 on many boards FAs to sign here......2 were discounted on top of that. so long I as don't look at the QB group........ bravo Dan.
  9. People would be shocked at what players do to add length...... Id drop the Utah measure, combine was a equal playing field for everyone....
  10. If you look at the current roster, the "upgrade" spot is either slot/starter TE or NB. Plus like it or not they are going hard/all-in this year, so drafting a backup OT maybe not high in the plans(not that I agree). I feel they will draft more of "help right now 2026" 1st rounder. So that's TE, slot, NB, or maybe DL *but the DL group is weak and got weaker with banks injury news. Given you don't want to use 1st on NB, that's leaves TE or slot. There's only one TE worth a first and the next had a insane combine and jumped into late 2nd range, otherwise wait til 4th. TE is like the RB group, one top prize, one mid and bunch of 5th+/- rounders. The high odds that WR will be BPA, so huddle prepare thy anus....
  11. That's my biggest beef and dang if its not a huge deal. Besides a few other moves ie trading up for injured brooks.... I feel he has improved the overall team and they have gotten back on track. He was without a 1st and burns didn't want his offer, that's a rough start.... His first draft is looking very scary at this point, but enough with the issues. If you look at each group, you see some young talent. He did "fix" the OL and he also improved the DL, both with depth. I don't think herniay or gut did both with depth. That trade for Michael Jackson is looking like the #2 all-timer trade behind Olsen. He got a future 2nd and stayed in the 2nd round, value-wise that was about as good as it gets. He's added solid players from the UDFA pool each year. The team just had too many issues and panthers do have fewer than he started, in past years Marty never built a bench/depth. Just the QB room, that Pickett signing feels to me like a death KO. I personally feel no hope is there and he had plenty of cheap talented options........Just to have this QB room for me, that's almost fired worthy....But important as it is, the other positions groups have improved and mostly young players are in the mix. I do not need to see if Lloyd will improve the team, I know he will. I feel Dan must use a draft pick, prefer before 6th round to draft some hope dealer in the QB room. Then roll will 3 QBs...
  12. My old man called this "playing the role".
  13. imagine writing a Kenny Pickett article...
  14. His age is not in Panthers plans, just check ANY of the ages of outside FAs in the past two years. I believe even Brandt tilis said the low age was a top goal.
  15. One thing I can say, They want players in the 25-27 age range(some excect like punter..). Wagner is older than many of the kickers currently, still producing, but I think its too much of a gap for what Panthers are targeting.....Now if Lloyd gos down with a bad injury, hope a player like bobby is still out there and takes your call.
  16. Can we even buy real ham now?? I swear 95% of the stuff is injected with 15-30% "solution" whatever the fug that salty chemcail soup. Im been a dak guy for sooo long Im scared to know what its in it now....I can not say the times Ive gotten a3 am slice/s in the mouth....God help me if theres cheese within reach when the monster is out... Man some stone mustard, dak ham, and 40 cal "mystery" bread is one of gotos as poor poor man.....
  17. I swear with pcikett added, this HAS to be a bottom 3 draft room. Id take raiders over Panthers, about the only two Id say are lower Jets? Cards? that's about it. There's around 4-5 other groups in the talk, but Ive seen 3 years of BY and even a Murray or Sanders or Ward feel like a better options than Pickett or BY.... Im Soo happy about the other position group and the draft picks, then I think of the QB room and
  18. I think Andy Reid taught me a lesson many moons ago. I always seem to find myself with a small group of players at the draft spot and thus more confused than normal. Andy- draft DL, you can not go wrong. They rotate more than other spots and get injuries more as well. Mind spark, "yes he's right". Thus I formed some draft "rules" over the years. Then college rules changed as well, thus les time for OL to learn the position. There's 3 spots I feel you need to draft every year- WR, OL, and DL. Of course not "100%", just each draft pool use 3 out of the 8 picks on those 3 is a good method. Each for different reasons, but Andy started it with his wisdom.
  19. I was a former draft nut and had ample time in the 2010s. I too researched about the consensus top 150, it made me hate marty herniay more. Like you the other teams not knowing, it killed my "want to" to spend the hours. Teams are soooo much better now, but during that time it was after the mid 3rd, then everyone had different draft boards now. After early 5th, pure dart tossing by some teams. I stopped caring sooo much about the 6th and 7th rounds too(minus the Trey Smith >> LS, smith is the highest paid OG now).. Before like that I never cared much about about the draft, then I went full-draft nut...now Im more of a "normie" draft fan with cheats. Just a panther fan and whoever they pick, I try to support to my best....Even with BY, a was 100% against, but gave him until "I didn't do anything this off-season" with his his tooth-tick arms and "whatever mindset"/////. I mean I know much more around the guys in 15-30 than the top 10, except styles...... I've gone thought all draft phases, the current one is the best one for now...
  20. That the point of using the mocks, at least for me. I too, do not follow college like I use too. Now you can use the mock sim and learn about players within the picks(or course it changes if trades happen). Still I look at pick 13-18 (same for other rounds)and include that into learning, cause even these draft sims don't know how teams will draft. Then you factor in needs and wants and BANG you have "cheated" your way into becoming a draft...a panther draft "expert". You can also use the public knowledge of player visits and layer it over the mock sims too, gives you another understanding. You don't need to "research" 150 players, just the ones around when Panthers are schedule to pick. Then you form "favorites" and such to make the draft more interesting. Now I've exposed myself, wave to those Canadian geese for me......
