"Watch your mouffth talking about Joe "Joe Alt" Alt"
-
If this was 3 years ago during BY rookie year and it was fair "best man wins QB", white would have easily won. I was a hooker fan and it didn't cost the Panthers what 100,000 to bring him in. White just knows to non-stop study the playbook and he's a 30year old pro at this stage. Boogie too, but he ran out of PS call ups and only the love child of Gilbert and goodwin can remain on the PS. That guy from the 49ers put on a show for a guy just off another team. Im too sick, cause I enjoy following the PS and 6 moves mid-season is a big day!!...

Small request- Can you get Ricos rushes?? Id like to compare the two....

Dog pile on Blaze!!!! I do get about only reporting credibility reporters and such and BY has made it here too, SUPER!!!!! ___________________________________________________________ I do think one of traits Morgan took from Fissserererererere was to be in on every deal *and more importantly gather information for future football ops.

Meow Mix podcast cancels plans to return after players tell them not to
Basbear replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was one of the 42 that semi-watched this podcast. They did spend a good portion of last years complaining about covering the team and having better things to do. Same for the early part of this year. Look there are Jet podcast nutcases that have been podcasting for over 10 years of their losing, sure Panthers are in a rough patch, but they couldn't stomach watching and investing time? I can not say I blame them at that point, but now they want to come back after some wins?!?!? Pfffffffff weak BS. Glad the former players told them to stay gone. You'd never hear from them if Panthers were still losing.. -
Seems like the fans, public, and even league don't care. Feels like Im dreaming....

It took a prayer ball to XL from Dalton for the seal. It was awful windy and honestly don't know if BY had a 1st down pass in that final drive. He surprised the hell of me in many 4th quarters, I will say that....he has 8 wins that came for game-winning drives...I think he's only got 9-10 total wins. That's part of this crazy panther ride, such a strange team and the out-comes this year.

I got BYs on this 1:4 ratio. Good:bad. *there has been more good in most of the recent games.....just use his last 9 games from last year as a starting point. Outside of one or two games, his whole rookie campaign was 98% bad...... You can even break it down more, quarter-wise he has lots of 3 bad and 1 good games.
-
Id trade about dang near anyone, Panthers have ZERO untouchable players. If some bad team wanted to offer three 1st, others mids, and decent player or two for the main man dbrown....... Dbrown you can always come back home when you're ready, enjoy yourself.

Panthers Sign QB White to roster; Christensen on IR

FYI Dowdle was a HS QB and I believe he's the emergency QB. I don't know why its sooo hard to have a few plays where both Rico and Chubba on the same play. Both have good hands and both can pass block/blitz pickup. I always complained about this during jstew and dwill era, use both!!! Hell fake a HB drive to Chubba and setup a screen pass to Rico, BANG 12 yards....Its not like its against the rules to play 2 RBs at the same time. -

Tossing in another ______ in this piece. Most QBs picked in the first are going to terrible teams(Especially the top ten). QBs picked in the later rounds get their odds of success increased by landing on iggles or chiefs. Hence why I placed Joe Burrow sooo high on my list. Maybe the best DC in NFL history agrees- https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2025/07/09/steve-spagnuolo-joe-burrow-is-second-best-nfl-quarterback-to-patrick-mahomes-chiefs-bengals/84514443007/ Wins, putting up numbers while limiting your TOs on a bad team, that's the impossible feat. Maybe try to fit Joes early years into this formula, if the formula is sound, Joe should be in the top 5% if not the top. -
being born with a old soul doesn't work well in this era, I was interwebz old before interwedz started.

Bryce Young a full participant at practice today
Basbear replied to Car123's topic in Carolina Panthers
Im the forums worst speller by far. I confused Google enough with my first try of spelling that word, it spit out that and that was good enough for my neanderthal brain... -
Im not ready to admit I was wrong, but he's 10x better than I thought at this early stage. He's red hot form 3 and FG in general. ALL the rookies minus McNeeley have been GREAT. I thought Sion James would be a non-factor and send down very soon at start, he's already worth NBA mins. The big man is Kalkbrenner is surprise starter and he looks like he can handle 25 mins each game. The feel is different for this class. Kon included

They are super precocious about injury these days, it honestly doesn't hurt to wear the boot and it may prevent further injuring certain foot/ankle/toe injuries. I do think he didn't have the high ankle like reported, this may have not had any swelling either. But for it heal and be practicing in wet environment ......like what is happening?!?!? -
ESPN's Trade Deadline Primer: Panthers
Basbear replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The player needs to younger than 25 with some sort of multi-year contract length. I remember Rod Gardner trade and think how smart and how great of move that would result for the Panthers........I think he caught 3 balls and was a total non-factor.... Just given history, Im not giving any hope for gaining help via trade deadline......Im much more of fan that sells.....but we are talking the Panthers roster here.... -
I guess this is a good of time as any. Out of alllllll the HC pressers I loathe Daves the most..... I can not pin point why, but I can not stand his talking..... Winning doesn't help this either, just a bad vibe I guess....

ESPN's Trade Deadline Primer: Panthers

I swear using any picks other than 6th or 7th, better not happen with this 2025 team..... These mid-season trades have a fail rate of like 90%, its too much for a player to adapt. -

Why did they go into the game and shaq was still able to call out plays?? Just horse poo coaching there, for the love of gods Dave, its not difficult for grown pros to flip plays and use different code words..... -
BS. If he was sooooooo injured how did he finish the game? It was over at the half, didn't make a difference for him to keep playing. Ill say this, the players that didn't finish the game was shocking. Dbrown had a "knee", Wallace hurt his shoulder and the report was its a head deal...........Mays was riding a bike after the half and no other OLmen was leftd after Motown had a "we are behind 30 points" injury too....... At least horn was replaced by Thor and he didn't have a "mystery" injury while down 30.........odd behavior.

Teams reach for QBs, in the past they did, but now more than ever. Many guys drafted in the 1st, would be 2nd round, even 3rd round guys. Just if you want one, you got to either suck, reach, or trade up for the chosen ones. I get QB is the most important thing, just I just don't believe its the only way. Panthers are a prime example, they have sacrificed many players in order to draft a maybe QB. Just build the team and I swear free agent QBs will call YOU.....Even rookies would be like " I want to play for Carolina, that defense and running game is too good". You can still find QBs in other ways besides the 1st round. Many times if you want a 2nd overall QB, just wait 4 years and he will be happy to sign for a low level QB contract. During those four years, build the roster with the best draft picks in each round. Stop making excuses about failures in the mid rounds, hire the right staff is the key. -
"missed opportunity" at hiring a real NFL HC.. Hes one of the few young coaching members that has modern NFL figured out. I even think he could be GM, but think he does want too. I know he was beyond pissed when the Titans GM traded AJ brown for draft pick(2nd???). He's knows ball and can relate. He's knows what a good NFL looks like and how they act/practice. Dave is still figuring out many things and Evero handles 100% of the D side.....Vrabel does all three....
