Todd McShay is CONVINCED we will move on from Teddy
Basbear replied to JABANOG's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rich Gannon got better at a late stage, Kurt Warner did too. Odds are not in Teddys favor, AT ALL. Mainly Im hoping he gets better, cause Id dont see a smart move to move on this year. The team needed TDs, CMC had 6 TDs in three games. I feel lots of the teddy hate, needs to be on CMC. It was a short weird convid offseason and Joe Brady never install a offense before. Teddy was new to carolina too, many reasons for his lack of play. -
If the team reeeeallly wants the player, they will over-look cap hell. I mean, I dont buy it. Still Watson is around 15 million for this season and worth the dead space form the Wertz. Houston has been making insane moves during BoB and after, it wouldnt surprise me. 15 mill Watson + 20 mill in dead cap, still means you got Watson. Wertz is a christian and wants out. Houston maybe his salvation in their eyes..

I will quote Rhule and discuss his talking, but Id do not trust that guy. I maybe the only one that isnt fully ready to move on form teddy. Contract makes it so and it is possible with a normal off-season, Teddy could get better. Yes he could get worse, but I dont see smart way to get away form him until 2022. Teddy also needs a decent TE and fully healthy CMC, just like any new QB that comes in. -
One of my friends came up with a oddly real trade in regards to this. He swears Wertz (with some picks) will be traded for Watson, main reason being Wertz is a super christian. Browns curse seems to have moved South, what the holy fug is Houston doing?

Data is 100% racist according to many groups. Thats the newest issue among the world, they will justify the numbers. -

It does matter! More than not in all businesses, Korean people hire Korean people, Spanish people hire Spanish, Chinese people hire Chinese, etc etc. Even locals hire locals, females hire females, gays hire gays, beautiful/handsome people hire beautiful/handsome, yankees hire yankees, etc etc. Remember Tepper said Rhule was short-order cook like him, people like to relate. You could have the most pro-______ group and you hire a outsider, sooner or later one form the main group will come to you with questions and concerns. Not everyone gets the same opportunities, I cannt be hooters waiter!! -

How many black HC need to be hired? You never answered my question about who you'd hire. -

Litterbox, if you want to lose brain cells, its perfect. I can not speak on on current events there, as I never visit (once in years). With trying not to make this thread into one, 100% blacks where given the "short stick" many years ago. I said this even then and for sure now, Id rather be black in America than anywhere else. Its like no one traveled before, dear god I wish some could to get a real dose. I do not feel Eric has gotten "short-stick" cause of his skin color, especially with the amount of interviews. Something is happening with the process, that turns owners/GMs cold. Spit ballin- maybe hes blunt and too honest. Maybe like Joe Brady he has a weak list of hires. One of my construction guys had a saying about those who complained about hiring process-" You have to be employable". -

I believe Darin Gantt said that Eric and Tepper had a interview and it when so bad that Tepper asked for another day in the interview. That happened the next day and it didnt go better. That was one deal, but it does seem to be a pattern. Joe Brady rumored issue was he had a weak staff to be hired. Todd Bowles was given a shot, same for Steve Wilkis and I think Vance Joseph got jobs. Soon fired, its the nature of this business. Please re-read about Ron Rivera/2017 being the 6th longest year. Qualified is the question for you and me. I believe you need to focus on McVay. He had great success and Matt Fluer has too, its a tend. The issue you need to understand is what it takes to move up the coaching ranks now. Honestly its film work and being able to use technology. Thats where McVay changed the game. Being able to run computer programs and cut up film, while using a Xbox controller. Both Bill Billacheat and Nick Saben have said this, both were not fans either. That saves time and in a business of long 18-20 hour days, thats a game charger. If I wanted to be a HC, Id hire personal teachers on those subjects. Black coaches need a trendsetter, not fake hand-outs. -

@ImaginaryKev lets say you are in charge and need to hire 10 people. Who are you hiring? Be 100% honest. -

There where many that got hired in the past 10 years, coaching in the NFL is a short term deal. Most got fired, just like the white ones. You do know that RR is the longest tenured coach in the NFC east right? In fact if you get past the top five HCs, I believe the longest tenure starts at 2017. -

Like I said, it has to be the right type of people. Brainwashing, guilt tripping, and social signaling has a firm grasp on many minds. Sad times in a great era. -

I mean the last white CB I think was Jason Sehorn(1990s), wheres are the out-rage about that? What would be the reaction if the NFL started forcing teams to play more whites/non-blacks at CB? Like draft picks, WR has to play with a weight vest, allow defenses one more player, all 50/50 calls go in favor etc. Plus no one should tell you how/who to hire if you spent 3 billion on a business. That goes the same if you build a small business form nothing too. Equal part is gone too, since the other method is to lower standards to make the "unfair" testing right. -
True, this one would have challenged the all-time best ones. Those top 4 and plenty more are getting picked, it would have made great football TV. Chucky opt-out questions would have been great too, he normally asked good ones and gave good advice.

I think the draft starts for the panthers at the 40th pick. Just sooo many options- QBs, DL, WR, LB, OL are all in play and have talent. Fritererereer will either make or break the draft right there.

3 late first like 31,28, 30 is worth it. Not 8,5,2
-
I heard he felt that way, but he didnt release a top 50 with it til now. I trust his top 50 better than anyones, but I do disagree with the Sewell ranking. He should be a top 3 iron lock, honestly he could go #1 if not for Lawrence. Its harder to find a elite LT than a elite QB, just look around the league.

If the Panthers land Stafford, it is win now, not rebuild
Basbear replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Heres another Lesson, remember the AEdmards trade? A future 2 for him, that 2 became the 33 pick. I believe he was the 89th pick. Like the texans this year, they traded a future 1s for Tunsil. If you win and go playoffing, its now in the 20s. Trading future picks, you better win and not pull a Herniay. Issue with that trade, its not Hernaiy worst future trade up. -

This is one of those topics where only a few trusted I feel could have a real back and forth with. Shame even though its popular, Id hate to be brainwashed into thinking life is all colors. -
But but FSU edge rushers are cursed!!! Just like USC QBs, you dont draft certain players form certain schools cause voodoo fairys or some poo ! Doesnt matter if they change coaches, the cruse still sticks!

Teams already reaching out to Detroit for Stafford

I know some dont want to hear this, but that 40 pick looks like it will a prime spot to draft a edge rusher. Seems about 8 edge guys are listed around 25-40. If one is there, youd have to have to give me a elephant tranquilizer not to pick him.
