Per Joe Person: players Panthers would like to re-sign
Basbear replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think youre wrong about the easy part. Since both were UDFAs, if we tender them "as same round" cheaper one, we get nothing if they sign else where. I think its 3.XX for second rounder tender, compared to 2.X for original. Miller should be around 4 million per, someone needs to play RG. He did fine, imo. -
I feel like fitterereer is in 15 QB deals, to drive down the market on the 2 he/they truthfully want. Dak could be signed, be some loooong years like = 8 years 280 million type of deal. Panthers have about 80 million (space) come 2022, so any deals signed this year must be low first year types. Its possible, but you could not tag or sign Moton as part of this signing. They could make it happen, just .00004% chance dallas doesnt tag, 20 other team dont match/pass panthers, and dak wants to be a panther.

When Marc Packer leftd, I basically stopped listening. I know hes not everyone fav, just like any other host. I did like the whiner line and QCB bits "big big big BIG diamonds!!, we got 5 of dem!!" And I hate the blowboys, but laughed about QCB triggering half the listeners. Packer would give him poo for not having any content/material all the time. Lebron "Ugly" James, was another reminds me of @4Corners triggering folks. Wish some of the old content was on youtube... I still check in for the panthers stuff on podcast, hate the web-site doesnt allow ghosty extension. Now after listening for 4 minutes, it refreshes on its on too. About to fully quit. I just listen to guests, pay no attention to host at all. Only panther content and maybe Rick Bonnell once a year.

Im very close to the same, but dont have Efa as a top 3. In fact every single player on the list Id have back except Whitehead, if youre talking minimum types deal. Need depth. I thought COrn played well, he shocked me in making the team. But like Douglaus as the year got older, play fell off badly. -
Latest NFL.com mock has us trading up to #2 for Zach Wilson
Basbear replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Prefer to stay put, I hate all these give up 5 great picks for one player type deals for the panthers. We need about 25 players, 1 player will not cover that amount. Unless Watson/wilson can block 4 DLmen, cover teams #2 WR, play OLB and MLB, TE and backup TE/OL/DL/LB/CB/Flex. -
The SB showed us about having a solid O-line
Basbear replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
False! Watson can and will block 4 DLmen and make accurate TD passes to CMC, Anderson, and Moore. Youre dumb to think otherwise, hes the solution to every need/want for the panthers. -
Not to mention but that goes for all the rounds, that 35th pick has way more value than the 40th.

I only want him if we're also getting quality draft picks along with wertz. That contract is the worst one in the current NFL, did no one see what the Rams had to give up along Goff contract? Its wasnt for stafford.... let me check the details.... -
OL island play for OG is rare, so dont rush judge this mountain. Id still be open for a late round flyer on this guy, fyi panthers need ALLLLLLLL the help at OL....UNLESS they trade for Watson, he can block 4-5 guys and throw TD bombs to Moore/anderson!! Huddle hold me so!
-
Wheres the mask police? They need to ruin this guys life, right meow!!
-
Turner/Boston admit that the refs screwed us in SB50
Basbear replied to Mol3m4n's topic in Carolina Panthers
Billacheat told his OLmen to hold in the SB starting in early 2000s, "They never call it". Think of it, was there a OL holding called in this one? Ive been at the fishy stage, not full tintfoil hat, but also can not unsee some of those awful calls. Facts are their are story lines the NFL hope happens and certain teams they prefer in the playoffs(ones in big media/dallas). -
Timing is suspect, but the source is not.
-
Off the top rope, did I fail to mention Russel Okung also only played about 7 games? Panthers where on their 4th LT at week 17! I guess Teddy should have blocked that DE too, huh? Huddle hate boner for Teddy is infinite.
-
They all liked Teddy form the start til about week 8, ALL OF THEM. Only when the struggles started, did they start the comments in pressers. Roaring Riot said it was one persons fault-Herniay. That statement was hard to believe, but RR has been money in the bank and hes in my circle of panthers trust.
-
Both are true.
-
It was like all decisions- a collaborative effect. Brady spend weeks with Teddy in NO getting him up to speed. Rhule himself was a big fan. Herniay did want to save his job and if Teddy won those close games, he may have saved his arse. The issue is the contract, which is where Herniay has failed repeatedly. Teddy/agent could have been looking for a one year prove it deal, Herniay- "How about 3 with a 2nd year guarantee?".
-
QB does get all the blame it seems.
-
Be honest- how much of redzone fails on Teddy? How much does 1st year play caller Joe Brady get? CMC had 6 TDs in 3 games, he was MIA for the rest. No TE help at all, which is the best redzone weapon in football. To me theres plenty of blame to go around.
-
Panthers need to goto QB horny jail. What happened to "its a process", "it takes time to rebuild, buckle up" "not going to happen overnight, rome blah blah balh". Heres the team after trading 18 picks+players(burns and Chin) for Watson QB- Walker (Watson on IR) RB/backup QB- CMC WR-Moore* on the last year of contract WR-Anderson* on the last year of contract FLex- LOL dont know LT- LOL dont know LG- LOL dont know C- LOL dont know/maybe paradis extended? RG- LOL dont know RT- LOL dont know/ maybe a tagged Moton TE- LOL dont know/4th Defensive DE - YGM DT- ???/Kerr/Roy/LOL dont know DT- Brown DE- LOL dont know LB- Shaq LB- ???/3rd/LOL dont know LB- LOL dont know CB- Djack *if healthy and last year of contract CB- LOL dont know FS- Burris SS- Boston That future 2022 first pick looks like it will be the #1 overall, and the 2nd rounder will be 33rd! Doesnt matter cause we got WATSON, and tickets sell when up for like one month!!!1!1! What are they now, lets not talk about that....
-
Its almost a forgone conclusion about it being a buyers market. Cap should be 180-185(my guess is 182.3), we already know which teams will be over. Plenty of vets will be cut and not much money to go around. Close to a 10% cut off the 2020 cap, thats huge. Elite will/have get paid, but others will be hit hard. Its the main reason for the QBs switching teams, they dont want to pay those 30+ million salaries. Trying up 13 million in one player would greatly limit your options in that type of market, so I understand why there maybe some pause for tagging Moton. You may need to pick between tagging Moton or signing 3 good players.
-
It could start more QBs in motion. I just can not believe both Goff and Wertz the owners of two of the worse contracts in NFL history are being moved in a year where the cap is going DOWN by about 10%. These GMs have the same drug dealer as @saX man , but take 3x the amount.

Cookie - "This is wrong and hes living off the privilege of being a HCs' coach son" Bas- " Its really has nothing to do with that. Wealthy people getting away with everything, heres a example=" Ms.thered- "LOL He black and the only example LOL" Bas- " ???.... He killed a person and heres another example"(reverse LOLOLOLOL) Cookie aka ms.thered - " Youre racist! " Bas- " I understand you dont care as much now, even thought they killed and continued playing.... no helping you. BTW heres another one and found a piece of poo white guy for the person that only sees color "
-
The big issue its a buyers market. I want badly to resign Moton, tag is 13ish million.... that hurts with buying in the buyers market... Soon I will stop, but fuging Herniay could have resigned both Moton and Samuel(called that before week 1) for fair deals before both increased their markets. Fittererer needs to sign Moton with a low year one cap number and go hardcore shopping in the buyers market. Id also see what type market Moton had with the tag and trade market, he needs to wait on signing the tag for that to work. If someone loves Moton and willing to let a mid-2nd(at worst) pick for him.....maybe...
