Teams only have about 8 picks, if they use one on a player, it holds some weight especially early in their career. Using a 5th round pick means a army of scouts/coaches/firms/nerds had that player in their top 150 ranking form the 2,000 draft pool. Yes by rounds 5,6,and 7 some teams are picking up darts, smart teams are asking 50 year old scouts and they have an answer. Many built up relationships and know if they have the goods to make a decent pro. Fooling does happen and some are not ready for the meat grinder. I think 5th rounder get around 300k signing bonus too, so you better choose wisely....

Hes below drinking age, hasnt played close to two years, and learning a new spot in a totally new environment. Hes behaving like a rookie, not surprising going against 280Lb man-beast vets. Just me but I do not judge ANY rookie til the start of the 2nd full off-season(unless cut or 1st/2nd team all-pro). There were reports of him being immature in interviews and at college, idgaf. Part of the reason for me thinking he would be at 8, was loins had a good vet at LT, but like DLmen you can not have enough good OLmen either. Loins are like the Jets about players not wanting to be drafted by them, sorta ruin careers given the history......(but new people are in charge at both, so it could change like it did for browns....just took 20+ years...).

Ive change my feeling toward LB, so long perryman is able to play. Rum has it figured out. I thought Sewell was going to be there at 8, that was after all the hype died down.....honestly my hype died also after it was reveled about his 33' arms. I still want him, cause we still need a LT. I say if he was the true one in 10 year LT, hed be playing LT. What I heard is the loins wanted Waddle, but phins took him one before. They already invested the #3 overll pick on a CB the year before and traded for Goff. Sewell was the best remaining player, cause no DLmen was near his talent. Its rare, but former 1st that "bust" have gotten better on a new team. Greg Olsen wasnt use correctly and looked petty bad when he was playing..... Got here and was a top 3 TE for years...

I hate the pro-bowl and its weird way of being becoming one. NFC has too many great WRs, moore and anderson need to have 2k yards and 20 TDs each. then maybee they get in as an replacement for a injured name. Guess Im a lone wolf on CMCs contract. Normally when player signs the richest deal, within a couple weeks/months its no longer the top. CMC signed I believe 2 years ago, since then many great RB have new contracts, none of which is close to CMCs. I know they forced the 1k 1k season, same as the olsen three straight 1k seasons. Best player on the team for now(chinn is coming...), I just believe for his RB spot around 12 is the right top-end amount. Him missing 13 games last season didnt changer my belief, just made it stronger. Plus the team just pushed more money into the future, so its going to around 20(cap-wise) in a season or so. Im just not a big believer in paying RBs, i know CMC is a weapon and not RB, still most of his snaps come at RB. JUst too high for me, but I dont want to pay any RB top salary. Austin Ekeler is who Id want at the salary he got, if I wanted a CMC-version. I feel they should have let CMC play out his 5 year deal and maybe tagged him once or twice.....during which find your new, cheaper, fresher, less injury-prone RB. At 16 per, CMC needs to play at MVP level. We will see if hes able, I do know no one is stays more ready than CMC.

Herniay's panic had to be the highest among the league. Herniay thought the team was very close and had Brown as a Freeny-like DE.....I believe we had Meeks former colts DC that didnt help either.
