What I heard, well heres the timline- 49ers made the trade. kyle shanahan runs the show and he wanted Mac Jones. Two days later, it leaks out the scouts/front office peeps want Lance. Kyle listens some and they are begging him to pick Lance. Both Fields and Lance want to play for 49ers cause the rate of success will be higher, each hold 2nd pro-days. That turns into recent heat about Lance to 49ers, but the person in charge still wants Mac "****"Jones. Thats where they are today.

Im aware, going to be a change a coming....If I remember correctly you where on the lance bus very early. I was in many threads, singing the lance praise. Me, personally, after the darnold i switched gears to wanting Sewell, Pitts, or Chase. I understand wanting going to the QB well til you get one, just feel its too much for this panthers team to invest 8th overall at QB. I dont buy the fritterer bluff about drafting a QB. You can have the spaceship, I transfer the right to drive to you.

Its similar to PFF, its a decent gauge. Thing is change happens. Example- the 45th pick in every new draft may hold a different value. Depends on when the talent drop happens. Rookie scale, at one point you could not trade the 1st overall without adding millions in the deal, no one wanted to pay a rookie top 5 pay day one. This year showed what the 3rd overall pick was worth, vastly more than previous years. QBs make the chart worthless at times. Plus if you get the player you highly value/want, so what if the chart shows you give a extra 14 points/future 6th/etc. You got a player that you think is a difference maker, who cares you "lost" by adding a extra 7th...

No one can predict the future and crazy things happen all the time, but I agree with you. I thought if fields gos 2nd(at best), theres still no chance lance is around til 12....no chance at all(again this bet is month+ old) I was driving the lance-to-panthers spaceship til Darnold happened. Huge fan of what would have been if Lance landed in carolina. I was going to make a real panthers to SB (within 5 years) prediction if they landed lance.

Id hope hed want Sewell, but Id bet he would pick Chase.

lol, I just just replying to our bet in another post. Im betting Lance gos within 10 picks of Fields. Granted this was agreed about one month+ ago. Not joking, I wanted to bet Lance would go before Fields, but knew almost no one else had that belief. Had to get some spread help. Varking had a strong belief...... I still think Jones gos to the 49ers, not buying the heat effect that 2nd pro-days form Lance/fields have. Nope....I will say I should have fought harder about top 100 vs 4th. It will be closer than I like and before felt the run on DT starts in 4th/5th rounds. Someone may beat the rush at those comp 3rds. Still just like the quote form that personal guy, months ago I thought this group of DT is worst group by far.

Forum discussion...welll for adults...... reaches a point where both sides strongly belief what they belief. So you could start the name calling, bring up something thats not related to the topic, or put your money where your statement are. Money is out cause some people will not pay up, thus being a welsher. Ive had a few not pay up, so you have to find another method. I got two bets going with two different posters. Lance within 10 spots of fields and 5 or less DTs drafted before the start of round 4. In both cases months ago I felt strong about these, couple huddler thought different. Draft week is almost here and Im ready.

Lions need everything. On the first post in this thread, i had them loving Waddle, heard the same thing today. No one knows due to new coach and GM, but the best guess is they want tough players that play hurt and Waddle fits that at least.

I can not confirm it. Thats another dirty secret about most Bama players, they constantly play hurt and medicals always look awful. Part due to leadership and part due to not wanting to lose their spot. I wish the information form those 160 combine would be public, cause I know come draft time, thousands of fans will be screaming " DRAFT ______ HES A STEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Ive done it, but the main reason for the falling is medicals or terrible off-field stuff. This year it will happen much more.
