Merry Christmas!

Nice work. Personally I never use picks on ST *rare exceptions*. Plus no CB is needed unless he is rounds above the others in value. Need a minimum of 3 OLmen and at least one true LB(you have this). If the whole draft was OL was tiny bit of DL, no problem with that. The one spot the panthers are deep with young talent is DB. TE is worth a late round pick too, in history those have given great results for draft spot. DL is not getting talked about, but I feel its a big need. QB is other option as well, some late rounder will get over-looked and be a 10 year NFLer.

Brother right now I believe its 60/40 they trade the pick, so prepare thy-self..... Right now I got him form 3-15th.....just after getting my hopes ruin my this team&draft......I dont what to get super hyped for a player again.....sewell going one pick before panthers AND the year before the best young QB being one pick away......eternal pain. I think panthers will pick 6th or 7th, Cross&Neal could *VERY* easily go just before the panthers pick, just like the last couple years... I would not feel this way if the QB was just decent, so that leaves DL and OL as the best of this years pool.

Doug Pederson on how to build a "quarterback room"
Basbear replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have thought of that, but its much harder to get other teams to trade picks for QB that youre not playing or want to trade. Pats(mainly bill) and Andy Reid are the only ones able to do this consistently. -
Doug Pederson on how to build a "quarterback room"
Basbear replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
As a draft nut, one of my older "rules" was each draft take a WR. As i refined my method and QB worths' gained value......I thought QB should have the same treatment.....but if you draft one each year, by 5 year...5 QBs is too many unlike WRs..... Be smart. -
blessed by the rare original scot thought/comment

Solider field is way up there too, weird how its ok at a few places, but others once the stadium hits 10 its "dated and needs replacing" There was a study not long about the true financial impact of a new stadium for the locals. Turns out its was no better than having a local super target. Compete joke. IF i was king of all, use one stadium for multiple teams including college....even HS. Near the same waste as golf courses.... -
Cross was my main target when I thought the panthers would finish around 15th in the seeding... Also starting to think he is the 2nd best LT after Neal. He'd be a great pick *if the panthers traded back a few spots. By combine/pro-days he maybe worth the 5th as well.
-
I think Neal is the best LT in the draft, so now (unless..) I see no chance he lands on the panthers(given they can hope for no better than 5th). Getting a better grasp and finding targets. lastest haul- Ive been trying to add a late round QB cause Im done with PJ Walker. Trying to always add MLB in the mid-rounds. No less than 3 OL will be in my drafts. Liking Peitt-fiere was a top 20 HSer. Panthers seem to like OSU players and he is a great pick for the 4th. https://fanspeak.com/ontheclock-nfl-mock-draft-simulator/draft.php?d=zunmwf 8: R1 P8 OT Evan Neal - Alabama 105: R4 P3 OT Nicholas Petit-Frere - Ohio State 150: R5 P8 LB Mike Jones Jr. - LSU 156: R5 P14 C Doug Kramer - Illinois 191: R6 P12 QB Cole Kelley - Southeastern Louisiana 246: R7 P27 TE Greg Dulcich - UCLA

Cam Newton is now top 25 in all time Rushing Touchdowns
Basbear replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Is CAM a HOFer???? Its a tough one for me.....I feel yes with a few years of waiting.....but you can make a case for and against..... Id also note my standards are higher than the current HOF ones......its not hall of very good.......and Cam is/was very good for parts of his career......its a tough one... -

Picked up this sleeper edge

Panther-wise this has been the worst reffing season in my viewing history. BY FAR. Feels like most games have 3 big calls that are total BS go against the Panthers. Plus the 50/50 calls all seem to go against them as well. Refs call the game like they have money on the other team. Never felt this bad, even during the Cam"your're not old enough for that call" trash era.

Too depressing to answer.

How many more losing seasons could you endure?
Basbear replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
100% on point, this forum would be firing and firing head coaches/staff every few games. Senseless Toxic hate has taken over. I swear since Cam came back its dropped the forum IQ a good 37 points and it was low-mid trier before, now!?!??! forgetaboutit.... -
Still waiting and I have plenty of proof of me being super skeptical of Rhule, especially all the Baylor/Temple hires....
-
Still dont know plenty, but *IF the panthers land one of the top LTs its a HUGE SUCCESS for the whole draft imo. The whole draft will be determine by what happens with their 1st rounder.....Will they trade it? I still its 60/40 they will right now......if that happens, 0% chance at Neal or Ekwonu. Thus far it feels like a good deep OL&DL draft.....just waiting til the 4th round to pick, its crushing...

I swear no mods/cheats/hacks were used. It was form 3 days ago max. During the draft, I thought "huh, I can not believe Tyler made it 2nd..........zooom.......MY GOD, get on the phone FINESEREERERR$%**^%&(*^^.............zoom......WHAT THEE HOLY JESUS BALLS?!?!?.....he made it to my pick??? MUst have been a glitch...." Dream of dreams. One thing ive felt is the pain of not having 2nd or 3rd. I know CJ henderson is the 3rd and I still fully support that......no comment on 2nd. I think 4corn doesnt realize that, but he stays in troll mode. Just wrecks the draft haul.......Not many 4-7 rounder are going help the panthers playoff hopes in 2022, more pain for my soul.... I don t see how the panthers "improve" when many other "weak " teams have TWO 1sts and few mid-rounders. I believe they are stuck in late-middle as the last 4 years....just awful..

So hes doing all he can, to get canned... Watch local bar flys, grouper will out in the wild and trying harder than normal.... I starting to think Meyer just doesnt want to work, he wants to sit around and collect NFL checks with no work for the next year or so.

Mike Florio & Rich Eisen discuss Rhule & Tepper
Basbear replied to BlitzMonster's topic in Carolina Panthers
Heres the real deal, Jerry gave one last non-lube to us fans. He had to sell cause "reasons", so he took his sweet time doing such. With nearly one month leftd before the start of training camp the sell was "finalized". No sane person would fire the HC and GM in such a short time frame. So Tepper had to keep them and everyone else on the playroll. He did that cause Marty was his guy. Once youre in a room with a brown-nose master as Herniay, no matter your strength you fall under his spell. Now we are still feeling the effect form Mr. Richardson.... -
Others have already hit on reasons. Ill add a few; Just a bad fit, right or wrong its best you move on. Member his speeding ticket deal at TC, told the reporters "hey guize got this 90 MPH ticket, why is that//" Our big brain coaching staff pick Carter over Perryman..........fuging idiots. They should have seen the talent difference and figured out how to make it work. Perryman had an injury and has a bad injury history. Panthers had enough of that with Apple and right or wrong they moved on.. Perryman didint get the vaccine, regardless your benefits and knowledge on this hot topic. He was one of three form the whole team that didnt get it. Different rules and treatment for non-vaccine players. right or wrong they moved on. He landed with a perfect DC that knows how to use his strengths.....WOW thats how coaching is done, amazing. They knew one another cause Gus was his DC in San Diego. He pushed for the trade cause he knew the results would benefit raiders Our poo staff for sure screwed this up by thinking Carter was better, not mending the problems and figuring out how to make it work. So Scott finesser had to trade him and at least got something for him since the bridge was ash. Dead cap space too......
