Hasson Reddick… what are you going to offer him?
Basbear replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
The most over-paid group in free agencay is OL. BY FAR. ALL teams need OL bodies, mainly cause college suck for developing decent OL. So when a OL hits the market, 14 teams fight over him and drive the price to mars..... -

If reddick played for the pats, he could reach 20 sacks. Again you can not lose him, tag him. Another issue is I think he counts for around 7 million in dead cap space, no matter if plays for the panthers or not. Big brain finesser got him on 5 year deal, with 4 voided years that all hit 2022. -
Ginger swole kicker did it as well. Feels like Cam said that 6 years ago now....

When the Panthers are trailing in the 4th under Rhule
Basbear replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not going to lie, the game against Phins I gave up and turned the channel. Go back to the 2010 season before the last time Ive done that. Not worth my heart's life watching them attempt to play NFL. -
tis the season my friend....

I think the tag is in play. Unlike Burns, reddick is super physical. More than not Reddick will jar the OT thats trying to stop/block him.(If burns speed fails, its over for him). He can cover very well for a edge, he has a rare toolbox for sure. Got to keep him, he has been the best defender on the team. Huge loss if he exits. -

They also beat the team with the best record (at the time) Arizona Cardinals. fuging teases, worst in NFL history at that... I never want to tank til the playoffs are at 0.000%. -

I seen his retirement presser, said his toe would not allow him to continue playing. Expressed his dying want to play, but brought up his toe would not allow NFL games. So cyborg toe maybe the way.....getting Luke maybe easily but seems he didnt have even Willis's want to play. Luke enjoys fishing and chilli while the panthers had 30 million in dead cap, thanks bro! -

Real problems. I agree the development is a issue right now and that was one of the main reasons Rhule got the job. -

seem you want to get rid of Sammy boy more than Rhule. I will not defend trading for Sam, tho he did look good for the first 3 game....then what the scouts said about him came true, he can not process the field in a timely matter. Unfair somewhat to him that hes never had even a average OL, always running for his life for 4 full years.. Not far off form what you thought, they are playing poor and have been for many games(too many). its hard to support rhule, i know that... -
Very hard, but possible New OL coach. All NFL OLs have injuries and issues. Seen many with less talent than panthers have better results New OC thats been there done that. Lots of luck Land a difference maker in the draft ie LT or rare QB Land a couple OGs in free agency Tremble becomes a real NFL TE CMC stays healthy full season 3 WR set becomes the new base with TMJ becoming a stud...

How did you feel after the 2020 season? How do you feel after 3-0 start? What were your expectations coming into this year? Be honest. -

Do you want to fire any HC that struggles? If that the case the panthers would have had 21 more HCs during their history. -

FYI - I do not judge rookies unless they are cut or make pro-bowl. After the 2nd full off-season I start. Id have to reaaallly out out on limb and stretch the reasons hardcore. A tad unfair cause Horn looked like a legit CB, rookie or not. TMJ, boy...I think Brady was fired for him, Teddy, Sam, and just making bad opinions... Christ has gotten a few reps and looked "decent" at LT,RG,LG. Temble looks like the best TE and that means nothing. Hubbard, ok good 4th rounder. High effort and energy Taylor- best 5th rounder league wide, jewel of this draft... Nixon- got IR'd was giving 15-20 high quailty snaps before Brown- Rhule thinks hes too fat...been non-factor Shi- non-factor Forgot name- Long safety that was IR'd to save face. Joke of pick Hoskins- when fianlly given a jersey, looked petty good for a 7th Id trade the 2022 3rd for CJ henderson right now again. NO question. Darryl Johnson for a 6th, well thats on Dan morgans plate. Can not expect much form an 6th in any draft. He did get 7th for Greg Little. Got a improved 6th for Perryman who seemed to be be a bad fit(i disagree). No GM bats 1.000 -

Nah give Finesser and Dan Morgan the keys and see where they take it.....He was uber aggressive in the draft and trade deadlines stuff....I loved that. His free agents signes I hated......I was right it seems about them.....tho Id call it a push given Fox,Jones, and reddick saved the group. Elf has looked decent as a C too....Erv Im sure is already hurt again form stepping out of his car.... -

Being professional and using logic about the team he took over. Give him a real shot at his vision. Does a FULL rebuild only take 2 years now? Like rebuilding the QB(he has failed and still failed), OL, TE, DL, LB, CB, SS, STs etc etc. Like if your boss gives you a huge old strip mall and theres not a fully functioning deluxe condominium its place within 2 years, you stuck and should be fired? What free unsigned HCs and staffs are out that you want? Doug Petterson has been tossed around, but Im meh at best.....theres no one I can think of were Im like" he is the one and can save this team". Goat Bill is going no where, dont want another college guru, andy reid loves KC BBQ, Macvay is in his heaven's land. No OCs or DCs out there worth a shot, maybe the dallas guy but my god hes soo young. So who do you got/want? -

I dont see any other unsigned current HC out there that can take Rhule's __________ and do much better. If Mike Zimmer somehow gets fired(i highly doubt), He'd stand a much better chance with these players, mainly cause he did fix the viking(viewed as a joke) and this DB can be special and Zimmer is a DB guru. Rebuilding takes time, Rhule and others thought they were ahead(even Thomas Davis said they were more talented than the 2015 team,....LOLOL) 3 years is fair given the sad state of the 2019 panthers, this is it tho. Panthers needs some luck, figure the QB/OL parts, and grow up(youngest team) and Id say could make some playoff noise. Did you reaally except them to be 13-4 this year? Look around the league/NFC, bunch of panther-like record for 20 some team. No super team.....best team right now is the Mac"motherfuging"Jones lead Pats..... Panthers beat the the next "best" team, awful year for many other teams. -

I think his role needs changing. The only recent player I know that can hold the edge against 330 LB man-beast at 230 LBs is Von Miller(hes old). giving up 80-100 LB is a near impossible task to overcome. Honestly need YGM to step his game up and be the edge with either reddick/burns on his outside shoulder. Another issue is hes had 3 years to add weight and done nothing. So hes a hybrid LB in my eyes. Only team I see him fitting is the Pats... -

I saw a pic somewhere(reddit maybe), 3 minutes leftd and maaaayyyybbbee 15% were still there. Facts are many other teams have that same problem- loins, jags, jets, wfts just to name a few. I doubt by seasons end the panthers would be last, even if it feels like it. -

Im still in the 3rd year camp.....but he must have them firmly in the playoff race until week 18. If not, get rid of him. I dont see how, unless the NFC south became 100% trash(brady finally leaves, ryan is traded, siants cap issues etc, etc) Rhule has little to nothing at QB, a rookie is not taking this young group to the playoffs. OL looks like its another 3 years away form being decent(elf has been looking "ok" at C). CMC can not be the center of the whole plan while he gos on IR for the 18th time. Still need something form the TEs. Besides shaq group needs 5 new players. Honestly DL needs talent as well. Brown, whom I had as a breakout player has played flat the whole year. Reddick and Burns are 225 LBs pass rushers whom have issues in run defensive. I have them at 6.7% chance to make the 2022 playoffs, Tepper better start right looking for 2023 HC, putting whispers out in coaching world.
