If you can not draft a starter on the worst roster, that's a huge issue. Im not big on positional drafting, but he drafted two LBs and one Rb with Hubbard, inches, and blackshear. I know we got to wait on brooks and well wallance too. Sanders as well........ It's awful early to judge, but right this time..... it smells.

Im here to poop on Morgan some. At a first glance, I still don't know how to feel. Jackson started in 22 and had a great year. Before that, he bounced around. Then seahawks tendered him and gave him a 167,000 SB(rip). COme draft they spent 2 picks on CBs and it was looking like Jackson is going to be the odd man out. Morgan already spent a early 3rd on LB and spent another 7th on Barrentt. Gave him a 23,000 SB (rip dead cap)* but he's under contract for 4 very cheap years. I swear go down the draft pick list- 1st- Injuries and looking like bench player 2nd- On PUP looking like he is going to miss the first 6 weeks 3rd- Backup and SPer *future MLB starter in 25?? 4th- Backup and struggling to block 5th- Top backup, *future NB in 25?? 6th- Loookinng cut currently and injured like most of the rookies have been 7th- Trade for a one year player that started in the past. UDFA- nothing that's made the Twitter news Most around here agree, this is the weakest NFL roster and Dan Morgan had one draft pick in each round. No starters and half the picks will not be on the team for the first 6 weeks. Terrible start.

What is the benefit to benching starters for the preseason?

I was thinking the other day, fox with that 2015 team should have been enough to win. But here we are in 2024 with the main plan is fox ball. -
How long will the Carolina Panthers rebuild take?
Basbear replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's true and also very rare. Before the Texans, I guess you could say Burrow with the bungals..... Texans just had the perfect combo and timing. That's ultra rare, like they won the lotto. Outside of a prime Billacheat and Brady, this panthers team is not going to have its season saved. I just know the roster. -

Basbear replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea, if this season goes bad....they will still need QB, LT, #1 CB, WRs, MLB, two edges/OLBs and a TE. Brooks at RB? Basically a whole new team. If they end up needing all that, well go ahead and say a whole new coaching staff is a coming too. -

bro, this team is much further away than just a HC and QB. -

They had the perfect time, during coofus. Nearly all stars leftd/retired and no butts inn seats. Plus it was rhules and crew first year in the NFL(rhule was some OL asst in 2011). Still that was perfect, but they still when out and signed teddy "2gloves" to a insane contract... -

Steve Smith said on a Monday WFNZ radio segment, Dillon Johnson should be moved up the depth chart and a guy you need. Talked him up with a couple more statements, but us huddlers who felt the same are crazy.....

We are Cowboy fans, just polar opposite

Blow boys have been 12-5 the last 3 years, something us panthers fans would kill for......even with the playoff chokes. -
Id normally take your position on this, but 6 years of utter failure has changed me. Im honestly in the spot that no matter what the Panthers do, I feel its wrong. Super dangerous. Like my old friend talked about his ex-wife; he said it got to the point in which he "hated the way she held her fork"!!!! LOLS. I keep thinking they should have just made evero the HC or gave Bill the keys. Plus hiring fitttererererers right hand man feels wrong as well. Given the massive issues, I have to remind myself this is a mutli-year fix. Plus Im not for this soft-ass treatment. I swear not 20 years players...gulp PLAYED and didn't get hurt. Im too old-school for these new methods .

https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/40899672 I didn't think he'd make the team, just the effort he gave, that alone should have keep him around til cut day. You need those guys. Cut some other bum....

Im at a all-time low as well. Honestly not cause of the poor play/management, just sports in general. Panthers are the only "sport" I follow now. I use to be a NFL super fan and was a 93% yahoo fantasy footballer with upwards of 10 teams some years. Quit that as well. If I hadn't followed this team since the start, it would be easy to walk away. Just too much invested.

I understand those players were not going to make the 53 (Jackson maybe/PS). Its terrible timing to cut a RB that scored the last TD since the moon landing, plus it was one hell of an effort breaking 4 tackles en route to the line. Sorta like cutting a player on his birthday or right after his wife gave birth...... Panthers making Panthers moves. For the over acting crew, they also resign 3 players they waived a couple weeks ago. At least bring in some new different players, not the ones you label as 90th or 88th on a 90 man roster.

The Jets Joint Practice Thread: HOT Take Edition
Basbear replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Old DG said on a show that 17 starting QBs didn't play PS week 1. (Im surprised) I still don't care, young is the player that most needs reps. 2-15 teams that should have been 0-17 need reps. Team been playing soft for years, who cares about the weak injuried players. Get some players that can last longer a series or two, PS is easy as its ever been. Hell that don't even put on pads but 16 times around games these days. fuging W-E-A-K BS. Even a couple series would be better than zero. Let's not forgot get dave has never called a game with young as his QB.......not to mention he's only got 1 year calling, he needs REPs, live reps with starters as well. -
I honestly think you hit on the soution here, or their plan. They keep adding safetys for a reason, maybe that reason is to have hill fill in for jackson until he's healthy and run a big nickle with 3rd safety. It sorta makes sense given the lack of CBs and depth at S. The 3rd S Scott has played in everos system. It could be the base D until health is returned to 100%. Hill has played outside for evero, but he's best at NB. Who knows they could claim a CB and start him week one as well. I've heard everos system puts the most stress on CB, so it would have to be a smart player.

BREAKING: Panthers sign veteran O-lineman
Basbear replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
They sure have found lots of players on their way to starting, then got hit with a tough injury. Boert with starting his 17th game in two years and ach broke in 2021. fcuk that bot!! -
It hit late last night that you bastards tricked me into posting positive support for the failcons!!!!!!1!1!1!!

He needs to to pull a woodsen and go hybrid Safety.

Id 1000% take Cousins career for young without blinking. Im no fan either, but people just don't know about cousins. Over the last 5 seasons, he's also 4th in completion percentage, 3rd in TD% and has the 6th lowest INT%, and 2nd in passer rating(behind only Rodgers and ahead of Mahomes. He's top five in wins too. Just look at his career, its legit https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CousKi00.htm
