League has spoken for months about Cam. When the panthers cut him, no one jumped on him. One month or so later, Pats signed him for peanuts. Here is his stat line for last year- 2657 yards, 8 TDs, and 10 INTs, thats Darold's half year stat numbers.....He was missing five yards dink passes to RBs, he played like one of the 3 worst QB in the league. Same peanut contract this year and Mac "ankle lock" Jones beat him out. PERIOD. Its not 2015. League has spoken again, he got the clot shot more than one month ago and still on the barbers chair typing in egyptian hydrographics.

Darnold Fractured Scapula on throwing shoulder
Basbear replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
NO BS, leading up to that game. I laid ALLLLLLL that out and said " NO chance Rhule starts him after getting no 1st team reps against the team that has Sam figured out. Rhule will fully protect Sam like he has since pre-season and not ruin him......" Rhule did just that, but also Sam also had a broken wing?? EVERYTHING was telling Rhule NOT to play Sam, why in wide world of sports did he??? Its like he wanted to royally screw up Sam...... HOLY LEE FUCCK WHAT ALL-TIME BLUNDER BY RHULE!! -

This is right up there with Ron Rivera not standing up for defensives targeting Cam. He should have gotten fined in the pressers and cussed out the refs while watching the replays on the big screen. I do not want to hear the lies about 2nd quarter, he finished the game! Rhule you let the whole team down with how you handled Sam during this week. Made him play the team that has his number after shielding him all pre-season? He better come out in clown make-up for his presser, fuging joke.... -

So Rhule protected him ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL pre-season and for most of the 7 games. Limited him in ALL the practices leading up to Pats.....you know the one team that Sam seen ghosts......... PJ WALKER gets alll the 1st team snaps Wednesday- Saturday.... Rhule starts Sam, what a awful coaching move. Maybe the worst Ive seen in panthers history given his shoulder is broken. Rhule you done fuged up.- 182 replies

2020 is all on brown, Chinn and YGM. Roy has been solid backup so far as well. 2021 all over the map and still too early. FYI if you get 2 starters and one ST ace/top backup thats a good draft. I think both can at least have that result, but the thing is this team was devoid of talent starting in 2020....so..

Too much to be pissed about than a 4th string RB getting cut cause the team needs the spot. I liked freeman and they claimed him for free, not too much to get upset about. Abdullah as others have said offers more ST value and ran HARD in his first game, much more than freeman did. He also is a better clone of CMC than freeman. Just the numbers deal and nothing to get up in arms about. Saving my anger for Rhule QBs decisions, OL, ST, and Gringer cringer

I honestly can not give a grade. First and most important, I have rule about rookie- no judgement til 2nd full off-season is had. I really liked the draft, the too early returns are all over the map. Forced for the thread Horn was playing elite got a bad foot injury TMJ got a concussion, but was not having a impact(good or bad) Christ has not given the coaches enough to start over the awful OL play on gameday Tremble had a decent impact and allow panthers to trade Dan Arnold Hubbard worked his way back form an injury and carried the load Taylor replaced Horn in looking like a 1st, still gets playing time among the 23 other CBs Nixon was getting close to 15 snap per game and played with high effort while causing havoc (on IR) Smith only got a gameday jersey 3 times out of 8. injury some and in a numbers deal Brown read christ and coaches believe hes too fat, whatever Long safety on IR before season to save an awful pick Hoskins like smith in a numbers deal and never gotten an active gameday jersey. Free agents have been close to disaster and more like Herniay normal hauls. Wasted millions and cap space on David Moore, Perryman(I think leads NFL in tacks), and Dan Arnold. If not for Reddick playing like beast-mode, this class would be homeless bath water tier. Fox and Jones have had positive impacts. OL pickups are who we thought they are. Trades. Sam Im at 40% believe level..... looking awful at the draft picks for his play current. Gilmore call the police for theft. CJ henderson you still do that trade.....but he needs more time it seems. Gave away Perryman cause coaches could not figure out how to use him, plus made up some BS about Carter beating him out(LOLOLOLOLOL). All he does is lead the D and make around 15 tackles per game now. Brilliant shitheads! Still time for things to get better and get worse......

An ESPN analytic stat shows just how bad our offensive line really is.

Herbert, my god 1 pick away form maybe the best current QB for the now and future.....Id be talking sooooooo much poo if he was QBing for the panthers. I would not care about the lines, primo shittalking non-stop to any other team or their fans. Tho its remains to be seen if Rhule and his band of Baylor/temple bros could get out the same results.....I feel herbert would over come about any poor coaching with what Ive seen. Burrow has played great as well, given its his 2nd year and coming off a terrible knee injury. Just herbert is a alien right now... -
Tepper: Stop the Stadium from Being Overran on a Constant Basis
Basbear replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not that I remember, we were in the middle of our normal back and forth....but he shot that down and hit me with the "it felt different this time". I know many panthers fans exit and dont come back in after half-time(weird but thats normal). He also said his section was close to 80% eagles fans after the half. Atmosphere was off, WAY OFF. Again he said "I never felt like this in vault before" and hes a hardcore about going to games. Been to 100s of them- doesnt care about weather, losing, traffic, his running mate doesnt want to go, etc he is going come hell or high water. -

On point as normal, the bible-belt is soooo weak compared to what it once was. What a fall they have taken, I dont even think they in top 3 anymore. -

The OL is playing like they never gone to any practices and just show up on game-day. lamb chop - " Sup guys, sup Coach Rhule" Rhule - "So I need you to play......lets see.....Ooo OK here it is- RG" lamb chop - " so you want me to play RG this game??" lamb chop - " ok....I'll do my best!! " <Rhule turns his back> -

I mean you sign 2 OL that miss multiple games each year and when they do play each finish around 80 out of 82 ranked. Then the worst, I repeat...the worst starting QB for three years running and hes struggling after a good(gifted) 3 game start?? Where is my "ironic shocked" out my skull meme???... Panthers proved they can not make miracles, pissed off at this method of thinking. -

I called out the Erv, Elf, and Sam moves MULTIPLE posts and all it got me was huddlers calling out my fandom and saying "wHy ArEnT u An GM, HuH?!?!?!" Where are they now???? Same turd-heads they championed Herniray and his shitty moves..... -

I told you I needed to see them play and have. They are about were ESPN has them 28-32, huge step back form last year were they ended up mid-pack(solid). Honestly small things are killing them along with just lacking talent- Snap count, firing off the ball, missing gaps, etc. Honestly I know they play as "1"..... The "1 group" plays dumb, lost, and confused. They need better preparation in the worst way, that would help move the group to the very late teens along with having a experienced OC calling plays with OL that lacks talent. Many times after the snap 2-3 defenders are already in the tackle box, thus Sam has jet flashbacks and gos hero ball mode....played out that way since week 4. This staffs has no answers and that is the worst part. -

I mean you guys can want his head on a plate, Im a pissed off panther fan as well and was cussing up a storm when it happened. Jones had a chance to tell his side and it made some sense, burns did lay him out and Im sure he blacked out some, like he said... Now the part about going for a UFC ankle submission........ I hope he is right about thinking burns had the ball, if not..... he said he didnt know what was happening as well.....tho he should have gone to the medical tent...... carry on as you wish

Tepper: Stop the Stadium from Being Overran on a Constant Basis
Basbear replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
I disagree with the notion that Tepper does not care, cause hes still getting money/return/______ . Im not not the biggest Tepper nut-hugger either. Im 99.98846% sure he is pissed about home game turn-outs. Many have already hit on the reason;melting pot central, poor product, etc. @Seltzer I nearly made this thread after the eagles game. A old friend/acquaintance that touches base with me during the season or if big news hits. Anyway he called me the next day(rare), told me the same stuff you layed out. I said "thats the way it always is, front running fans and thats the main fan %". "NOPE THIS FELT DIFFERENT", was his reply...........Hes been going to games for 20 years too, during the bad times and end of the year, hes there. Just the panthers fans aborted halftime(like normal...) and it felt like he was at philly home game form the mid-3rd til the end....I never heard him use the word "embarrassed", he thats what felt like. He said philly controled the stadium and was doing their home game chants, that has happened before(blowboys, steelers etc). Again he said this time it was waaay different feel, never before, even during the worst times.......I hope tepper does do something for you PSL owners, I think he must after the season. Hate to say wait, but thats the game til off-season... -
Is this the best panthers secondary ever?
Basbear replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
YES. I said many times during the off-season not to worry about Safety, but the CB group carry the "best" DB group in panther history. Just too many studs, many of which are young. Keith Taylor is ballin, he has replaced Horn as a 1st round talent/skill. CJ Henderson+5th for 3rd and DannyArnold??? I do that trade again even with CJ struggling some, 10/10. Gilmore looked fresh his last game. Bouye is after thought, but he doesnt look bad at all. STO has been playing ST and even with the group sucking, he has not. Djak looking like a star in the making and they better tag him if they want to keep him. Tony Pride is on IR and will be playing for another team in 2022. It is super nice to be this loaded at a higher valued position group. Dime is Gilmore, Djack, Henderson, and Taylor?? God dam Horn may need change to an TE!1!1!! -
If you want to focus on the negative points, you will have plenty to pick form. The 3-0 start and Thomas Davis going full retard, almost made me forget where the 2020 panthers came form.(I had them as a 7-10 team, looking a tad better). You have the history and IQ, they lost nearly 60% stats and impact players. You can not fix all the issues in two years. I mean right now- QB is 50/50(better than Cam/teddy/______), OL(every single team needs/looking for OL), TE, and LBs. The depth at DL could need some help, but compared to 2020 its day/night. Team is younger and talents are all around. They figure out how to get a decent OL, a TE that defensives have to guard/respect some..... and the QB Sam becomes the one/sign a Jake/________ . This team is fighting for a playoff spot(not a home one...). 2022 was my guess if things are going well and I think they are(truth). Im was not a Rhule fan and can not stand his lying during pressers. Still that 2020 team fought every week and except 10 quarters they were in each game. Not the same feels this year, but overall talent has improved and the best part is the age. Brady is figuring out how to call a game when he doesnt have an huge talent advantage. Snow is carrying the whole team with a young group. ST has been trash, Zane has helped cover for Blackburn. Im still willing to give Rhule another full season, my god he had the hardest start in NFL history and came away standing. Team has improved and right now week 8 they are 1 win away form matching last seasons total. Yea they should already have passed the win total, but they have improved the core talents and should have more wins than 2020.
