BY did win the head2head against CJ...... The last 6 or 3 games, BY has been the better QB. *But CJ is still fields ahead of BY. He took a 2-15 team to the playoffs the next year and he was the main/all of the reason. He was in the MVP race for most of the season and at mid point was the leader. 4 more leftd for this battle to clear up more.

He was throw for throw against MVP/Superbowl MVP and KCs D, he had lead another game winning drive that will not go down in the stats as one. He's played like I never thought he could reach the last 3 weeks. Even going back 6, each of those week both QBs were struggling just that time of year(weather). He keeps getting better, which was my #1 goal of the season. He's also not had Sanders, AT, Coker for a few games during this morphosis. Im always honestly, but the current group of panthers WRs and TEs are not enough. I never thought Id be saying this in his defense- " BY deserves more and better weapons ". They need to either spend a 1st/2nd or trade or drop the Higgins bag(I hate this) for him. Need a legit top pass catching weapon, get on it dan... That point guard meme that everyone including me were laughing about......... he has looked that part in the last couple games. If he keeps up the play, he deserves some comeback player of the year votes. Hes putting the team in position to win.

I begged you to be wrong about panthers drafting BY and the first 18(minus GB) games he played it was a fuging horror show. I didn't think he was simple capable of being a NFL QB 1-3, even doubted PS, cause I would have current FA PJ walker over him. Right meow, I feel its still undecided, but he at least playing like a legit NFL QB. Defenses are ahead currently in the NFL and cold/bad weather is here, ALLL QB play is down/bad *but BY is playing well. Invest is sunk and all, but Id be lying if I didn't still feel like trading him. My nightmare is that BY levels off and remains a 23rd rank type of QB. You know the type it just get you 6 or 7 wins while teasing you for the playoffs. I hope Panthers at least add one big time TE or WR to the group.

I don't have the energy to defend Purdy, his numbers for that last couple years should have gotten MVP votes. He's legit and top 10 EASY.

Others know but the portal is already open and players have entered. I believe UNC even lost a player or two already. Lastest Ive heard about UNC and bill, they are still flirting. Bill is not the HC. I think he's demanding his terms and thus far UNC has agreed. Just crazy to believe this. He's keeps upping the terms and demands. I feel its 50/50, still a huge part of me is like "hell no, this would never happen".....but its too far given they have met more than 5 times now. UNC next step is public pressure. My bingo card hass too many "1 out of 10 billion" odds filled this year.

He's the only QB playing with less than BY. I thought it was a death sentence, but he's playing "great" if you factor in poor OL, bottom tier WR&TEs, and meh offense staff.

This is great summary post. Just to add, his late 4th quarter drives really won me over. Just this past game, philly downed the punt at like their one yard line. BY drives the team, performing magic tricks along the way until panthers 30. This is against the current best defense in Philly and both sides are having trouble passing. Then he throws a great pass to XL in which he 98% fully catches it for a TD.......... Did I mention NO time outs and there was like 2:30 on the clock.....My God what else can you ask of him given his WRs and TEs???? He's done similar drives in like 4 out of the last 6, only to have a drop, missed FG, mahomes magic, or defense fold again. Even remember the STer Farley got a 15 yarder on Kick off to help KC tie with 30 secs that the fuging defenes could not slow down mahomes.... It's totally unfair a couple years from now, all that will be forgotten cause the team didn't win and add stats to BY(ala 4th quarter comebacks). Team is losing, but it has nothing to do with BY playing.

If you are in the business of drafting raw prospects, 100% you need a coaching staff that excels at developing raw players. It's the only reason to draft those types, but good luck asking a coaching staff to stick around for 3 years doing that. Many players are entering the league at 24 years now cause of NIL and coofus fall out. Nearly all don't make it to their 30th birthday. So you have around 6 years ......its a lot to ask a team to invest 3 developing years into a player when the pay off is only 3 more years. *Then you have to sign the player to a new contract and the cap has gone up in those 3 years and bad teams need to spend 92% of the cap per rules. soo....... So more teams are looking for "ready" players than "raw", cause the pay off sucks.

Yes, there's nearly a 40% turn over each year, more with new staff. I've already look into some- 33 players with contracts (maybe 2 of more cuts) and 8 draft picks No STs players, including the returner. It's a decent chance to look at RB whom staff could have glowing reports in 2024 for 2025. Like the above returner is needed given blackshear is a FA. Got to hope/believe 2 practice squad players and 2 UDFAs make the team. Now you're at 43+/- with around 20 million in cap space for the last 10. Dan got a hard time filling the roster, especially special teams.

I mean that's what I was thinking with this move, 2024 is over, go with 2025 plan. Michael is only 25 and former 4th rounder. I doubt Brooks will be allowed to play in 2025, so #2 RB is on the menu. There are around 30 RBs on PS and why not try to find a young one able to fill the backup role? Boone is 29 years old, I surprised he's still here. I don't see how he's part of the 2025 plan or future.

I hated the drafting of him. That ended when he became a panther. Im a rare honest person. He played awful about the worst starting Qb over 18 games. He was not seeing the field, tiny frame, and weak(at the time)arm. I thought he would never play like he has the last 6 games. Major props to him. He outplayed hurts whom is getting like 50+million per, went throw for throw against MVP & Superbowl MVP mahomes. Numerous late 4th quarter drives to either tie or win the game were spoiled by defense/kicker/ST/other. BTW he's doing this with his #1 WR a 89 years old AT, who was out half those games.
