Not going to act like ELF, daley, and erv got huge issues. Still Erv as your swing tackle aka #8 OL is a good thing. Daley should get cut, and if youre cutting a young player that had around 35 starts(some at LT) that a good reflection on talent. Elf should not be starting, but boze got a 3 week ankle deal. If Christ is in fact one of the best panthers and Colbert is like a OG Mo town.....it should cover up many of Elfs issues until boze returns. Right side- average to Great. C- awaiting Boze return/awful ELf. Left side- two studs with elite potential. Bench- legit players with great spot starters, no issues.

One of the deals I cannot grasp was, by all accounts Watson was respected and well-liked by everyone. I travel some during his Clemson time and hear nothing but good stuff about him and his character. Then nuke drops and one of the first reports was all houston masseuse black-listed him.

1-10 I dont see a equal. 1-4 sure there were some better groups. The Norwell-Kalil-Turner for 2.5 years was as good as ANY interior in the NFL(people always say Cam had no OL and thats wrong). Gross-Wharton-Kalil was another great combo. Ickey- 6th overall 1st OL pick Christ- 2021 3rd, gettin fluff, High RAS MJ- fine depth ELF- sucks. strength is out in space and pulling Colbert- 33rd overall in his draft class, still young and good Mo Town- Im not the biggest fan, but hes solid Erv- 19th overall, one of the few players in the NFL thats able to play all 5 spot(bad at most) Mays- Good proven SEC player rookie Brown- Super dark horse and is looking like he remains in the shadow Boze- started on good team for yrs and was a leader and well liked by teammates. Daley- gots a few starts on resume some at LT, cannot stay healthy Teck- Baylor all-star and knows his role is on PS, he accepts Horton- been on PS for 2 years, looks like hes pushing for 2nd reps by reports Pleasants- had maybe the best PS game as a player. Leveled up and hopefully he lands back on PS I cannot member the last time the guys at 9-14 being this good. Plus the starting unit of Ickey-Christ-Boze-Colbert-Mo town could have 03, 15 results if not for the huge over-haul to player/coaches.

Thats fair. I believe the OL was greaatly improved. My main issues are chemistry and growing pains. QB role in this new O, has lots of OL calls. I dont even know if Ickey has heard Bakers voice over 4 times...... Just lots of new parts- OC, OL coach, Asst OL coach, 4(*should be) new starters, 4 new players, new terms/calls/shifts/etc. Rarely does this much turnover come together fast.... Ive got a good record of calling what the OL is before the season and think this group will finish in the top half and have good depth. Plus simply put its the most collective talent I believe thats ever played here, just tooooo many new parts/language/terms can be very difficult to overcome. Mo town is looking like he leveled up as well.

I got 10x the faith in OL than TE. Signed Boze&Colbert and drafted Ickey&Mays. There maybe some rough outings, but I think the group as a whole is one of the best panthers have had. Even in its current state. Having a solid Colbert next to Elf should help him. Big talk as well about Christ being one of the best panthers regardless of position, if thats true big boost as well. Finally Ickey is at his home, just the first 3 games have some HUGE tests for him......welcome to NFL big boi...

Panthers “Dark Horse Playoff Contenders”
Basbear replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would not be so sure about this. -
You up to date on the panthers TEs? Mr. yearly breakout awaits- Ian Thomas (who I think is currently injured), New breakout hope and goofball- Tremble, Mr. PS/I played at temple- Colin Thompson, First player signed by Finesserererer who still has faith in- Sullivan, prize UFDA guy form north dakota state thats going IR, Big brain think-tank last year made me a FB- Ricci. Wouldnt take much talent to challenge ANY of those guys for ANY spot 1-4.

Hes had a weird career. Struggle city with his draft team -lions(tho most were...) Then a yo-yo/panther-like one good year then bad year. I think he did good with the colts and cashed in again and struggle. I also think he landed on the steelers and did nothing. Never lived up to that top ten (or was he 11th?) draft pick...

Come to butthead 4corn will be all over this, me thinks//

We got no idea about what made Krob body bag the pat player. I hope Rhule doesnt over react like I think he will. FYI when asked JC horn said Krob has the hardest hitter among the DBs, wish I knew what the pats player did/said......... heard hes at the hospital as well. Maybe a few lessons will be learned form this.......

Panthers “Dark Horse Playoff Contenders”
Basbear replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
My calculations determine 19 "IFs" must go the panthers way in order to make the playoffs.. -
Im a known DL whore, Dodd was out of the league in 2018......he didnt even report to TC. Thats some of the mental part that us fans have to guess at, but thats included. Spence was a workout warrior and speed demon, Im a sucker for that as well. Bounced around, never did anything. Bulter was 4x the player as those two. Herny should have been the pick, but Olsen had JRs ear during this. Hes had a injury issues, but been top end player that got a huge(at the time) TE deal. I believe Dave said they had 2 players in mind and later on it was revealed to be Henry, @Mr. Scot do you remember that?? Daves ego got the best of him during his carolina run, at this stage Dave thought he was the smartest man in the building and couldnt make mistakes...I think member he saying about big vern- "He runs to the ball and got a high motor, you cannot teach that"...... He lost alllllllllllllllllllll that once he started cashing checks...
-
People saying CMC must have not picked him the last 2 years. If youre a full homer- CMC If you want to win your league- Taylor Dont use your first on soft-ass CMC.
-
I may want a do-over on my draft prediction...... This year for sure, I am done with all these guys who cannot get through a week without getting a booboo. DOne with soft ass players.
-
I still member Breston Bucker making him run gasers after practice on hard knocks.......knew then he doesnt want to play in NFL, just like Bulter....got by on gods gifts. You can not hide in the NFL, the league will expose you sooner or later.
-
His best year was the contract year here(shocking), but after that....... piss poor. Lazy and blessed can take you this far tho...
-
I broke off my man-love for him during that off-season, the re-sending of the Norman tag was my turning call. I will go check out the draft and see who I truthfully wanted......oooo boy I wanted Herny, spence, and Dodd....... in that order.......those last two are much worse than bulter.... I didnt question guts drafting DT cause he picked Star and KK, both rock solid picks......but didnt like the throwing 3 picks at CB. He didnt know how to keep the team winning. Again with the way it ended in NYG, he was worse than Henrinay....

using -2 to 10 scale Head Coach: Matt Rhule- 3 Offensive Coordinator: Ben McAdoo- 5.5 Quarterbacks Coach: Sean Ryan- 4(maybe my biggest disappointment) Pass Game Specialist: Matt Lombardi- too new INC Assistant Head Coach, Offense / Runningbacks Coach: Jeff Nixon- baylor 4 Wide Receivers Coach: Joe Dailey- too new/young, didnt like the hire INC Tight Ends Coach: Kevin M Gilbride-5 Offensive Line Coach: James Campen-6.5(after GB had a hard time) Assistant Offensive Line Coach: Robert Kugler- ??? too new as well Defensive Coordinator: Phil Snow- baylor 6 Defensive Line Coach: Paul Pasqualoni- too old 4 Assistant Defensive Line Coach: Terrance Knighton- solid former player 5 Pass Rush Specialist: Don Johnson- 5 old as well, but the role doesnt need a young buck Assistant Head Coach, Defense: Al Holcomb- big fan 7 Defensive Run Game Coordinator / Linebackers Coach: Mike Siravo- dont know enough, if forced like many others 5 Defensive Pass Game Coordinator / Secondary Coach: Steve Wilks-8.2 Cornerbacks Coach: Evan Cooper- baylor 4 Special Teams Coordinator: Chris Tabor- 8.2 Assistant Special Teams Coordinator: Ed Foley- baylor 4 Two leaders are Tabor and Wilks, then theres loads of 5s and baylor numbers. Still going into this season, its improved from last yr and about the best given Rhules hot seat.
