  1. I feel come draft time, you need to spend ANOTHER 2nd or 3rd at WR. I feel they will trade/cut AT and johnson will get paid by other team. I hate to say this, but nearly 98% that early 1st is needed at edge. Then you again go to the 2nd round WR well and try to hit on one. (pls god/s...) Just not only need talent, but difference makers and those mainly come in the first 60 or so picks. I feel you could make a good case for CB too. I think they need to draft two edges as well. Plus in the mid-rounds they need a top backup DL. Plus by any means, get a NT if this 3-4 must continue.....too many problems.
  2. That along with the current RB market, its at the lowest its been % wise. Teams are paying WRs, OGs, DTs, dam near all spots minus ST before RBs. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/year/2024/position/rb/sort/contract_value 3rd slot WRs are getting more. Sure you need good players, but Ill take a good Edge over elite Long snapper. Panthers should know this and take advantage, but like my friend said after the draft "Dan drafted like its still his playing era."
  3. He had a setback during the rehabbing of that quad. He was on time for TC, but that was 2 months ago.
  4. I member RR trying his 3-4 hybrid in the last year and member phil snow with his 3-3-5 college mess. One of my draft gurus has always said good players can play in any system. Mmaybe what 3-5 of them are "good" out of 30 picks?? That a 10% hit rate, i bet some teams have a better UDFA hits over the same period. Get rid of these bum-ass scouts, period.
  5. according to many brooks was clearly the highest player on their board and they were worried about dallas jumping up since jerrah said he was the best interview in 30 years. funny dallas still needs a RB or even two. Im a value nerd, RB is down there with kickers currently.
  6. I feel this way too. Need a edge that teams have to plan against with dbrown healthy it would make a worlds difference.
  7. i didnt look at stats, just being honest form the draft time. jenkins has missed games. brooks has lost game snaps and reps, hes FARRR behind and will never reach the other names unless they get hurt. Hes behind on everything besides rehabbing. we'll see, he feels like a 2025 pick.
  8. kris jenkins tackled hubbard with cobrett and he only had one hand on the 4th down GL stop.... Marshawn Kneeland was the pick for me and thats with keeping the two 5th rounders and staying at 52. kool-aid if you remain at 39th.
  9. I honestly thought he was the best RB in the draft. Just carolina was not player for him, given the needs and value. The RB is lower than the safety market, derrick henry was signed for 2 years at 16 million. Many others cases, but panthers used a prime spot on guy that may not play half the year with 3 other guys already here. just bad management. It only makes sense if he goes prime jamaal charles.
  10. You have 4 years of control, CHEAP control. I think the best overall player on this list is Hubbard, horn just misses too many games and he doesnt look like the rookie seat belt guy anymore. That 2022 class is woof, icky is playing better but not enough to carry the whole class. 2024 is looking like 2025 results, but XL is better than I thought at this early stage. Im still pissed about rhule using that 6th for a long safty that was out of league before he got the plane ticket to the queen. Morgan needs to fire the lot and open teppers purse to hire real scouts that can find more than 1 player out of 7 picks. The scouting department is the cause for bad panther football.
  11. westbrick, lols No BS in his prime, he was the closest to thing to MJ.
  12. Johnson is elite at routes, foot speed, and getting space. His problem is rule #1 for WR, his hands are sus. We have already seen part of the reason pitt gave him away even with the elite traits. You got to catch the ball, if not nothing else matters. It would be similar to BB players who cannot shoot jumpers, but is great at driving, layups, and free throws. Players give him the space and watch the bricks.
  13. Well at least luke had his ACL. It comes down to lots of factors and i dont believe in forcing picks. Theres a huge hole at the OLB, more than one. Its clowny and street guys. That had hubbard, sanders, and blackshear. It honestly felt the 2024 draft was for 2025. early showcase for the shaq replacement is coming soon....
  14. I think christ could be on the block too. He can play all 5 OL and has great 2022 tape. I doubt the panthers can resign to some backup deal, see if someone tosses a 3rd and take it! RB- sanders or huddard for some team making the playoff push could be worth mid for hubbard or a late rounder for the getting cut sanders. CB- Hill for a late rounder, even other names out there including horn........ Its a deep spot and dane jackson is coming back soon (i think). Mike Jackson play has his value at a peak and hes a FA. I hate to see him go, but 4th or 5th rounder would help the rebuilding project.
  15. That 41 million space number is fake news. Corbett, shaq, dalton, and others are voided. In short take away around 10 million, *but sanders and couple other may save a couple million. If they signed johnson along with the rookie class, there maybe 2-5 million leftd to "build" this team. But they could do one of the old school tricks about pushing the cap into future years. Its possible, but tricky. Finally I doubt Johnson will sign here given the QB is a unknown with dalton being a FA. Hes going to want that answer and if panthers come back with "Well we plan on drafting one" .....hes gone. Dalton could be in for a pay increase too. Its a god dam shame to have no cap space and no talent.......AWFUL!!!
  16. Shaq said in the off-season he wanted to play 5 more years......... I think he will want to play, but I dont know if panthers are the team. I know he wants to play in carolina, but who knows how a MLB GM goes about this touchy deal. Maybe they can agree to some small vet deal, but I dont see shaq as a backup if wallace takes off. Believe it or not he was one of the first LBs that had great coverage skills. passing league. but hes got age and ach killer. sucks alllll around.
  17. I dont see how the panthers can fit that in their cap, i think its forgone, hes forgone. Might as well trade him for a mid-round pick/s
  18. He could get 20ish million per with a high SB, just the insane market. My honest take, if morgan feels he can not resign, but allll means trade him for the best draft pick/s. I think panthers will have(sorta shocking) some good players ava at the trade deadline. Christ for a 3rd should be done, either hubbard or sanders for 5-7(if they dont feel hubs will resign). troy hill for a 7th.
  19. It works great *IF* you have a legit massive NT......think vince wilfork. It honestly alllll start there at NT. Panthers dont have one NT in what 2 years?
  20. That saints game is looking like a week one flukey deal...the next week they dropped like 50 on dallas....since then its been 10 and 20 some points. evero is the highest paid and he could be better even with limited talent. many of which were hand picked by him.
  21. Thats true. I feel like this is similar to last year BY, yes the OL sucks and the TEs and the WRs(minusAT) but so does BY too. Not at the same level, but evero could do better. Not to devil's advocate this. He got to pick his safety, LB, and Robinson. Hes picking lots of the groceries and I think hes the highest paid DC in the NFL. Plus they have never found a NT. Tutlte and dbrown going down hurts. Ray and thurman were try-out dudes that found their way onto this team. They are starting and playing heavy minutes. evero was also a big part of trading up for dj johnson.
