It does not work like that. For early 1st round QB the after the 3rd year its three things- pay, cut, or trade. 0% chance BY will play on the 5th year, they will force Panthers hand with the last bit of cleavage (lols) Leverage they have. So you can either pay him 200+ mill with around 130 guaranteed or trade him for ..... I guess mid round picks....

You got a good grasp of this mess. I've been wanting to ask all the BY fans what type of money they want to give him, as you layied it out and you just can not agree....he's done the min it takes for a few games. Plus brother the cap is going up, 45 AAV maybe the bottom starting QB as insane as it is. Still I DO NOT want BY anywhere close 45, even giving him backup money is hard to think about. Deal is after the season, its going to be Uber hot about what to do. You know his agent will not allow him to play even if they do the 5th year, everyone on his side will want a juicy 200mill+ deal that I would curse tepper for his current and afterlife........ They got to either trade him or pay him this off-season. Period, that's the mountain awaiting this off-season. Either one can save your NFL career or ruin it...... The QB market is turbo ass, unless you are a trey lance truther, Sam "I love unc" Howell, or Willis....Theres Zack "wow I backpedal and toss a 70 yard dime and living off my 2nd overall draft status" Wilson. Or if Indy goes insane and doesn't tag .......I can not even type his name....the whole QB market is him and lost dreams. I personally have not drove in draft, cause thank the gods Panthers are still in the playoff hunt, but form afar it looks scary......like a bunch of 2nd-3rd QBs will be drafted in the top half and I DO NOT want to trade up again by paying the insane future 1st etc. SO.............fug its bad........and I don't see a lane, unless a Jake ver2.0 Delhommy happens again. Maybe trade has the best path, Im enjoying the season too much to find out which teams even have a QB worth trading for.....fug....

You and the Packers will be just fine. If they met in playoffs, packers could drop 40 and hold BY to 9 points.... Besides you and all other are banned from any complaining. Favre-Rodgers-Love......Thats NFL heaven. -
Join me in betting against the Panthers this season

If this was 3 years ago during BY rookie year and it was fair "best man wins QB", white would have easily won. I was a hooker fan and it didn't cost the Panthers what 100,000 to bring him in. White just knows to non-stop study the playbook and he's a 30year old pro at this stage. Boogie too, but he ran out of PS call ups and only the love child of Gilbert and goodwin can remain on the PS. That guy from the 49ers put on a show for a guy just off another team. Im too sick, cause I enjoy following the PS and 6 moves mid-season is a big day!!...

Small request- Can you get Ricos rushes?? Id like to compare the two....

Dog pile on Blaze!!!! I do get about only reporting credibility reporters and such and BY has made it here too, SUPER!!!!! ___________________________________________________________ I do think one of traits Morgan took from Fissserererererere was to be in on every deal *and more importantly gather information for future football ops.

Meow Mix podcast cancels plans to return after players tell them not to
Basbear replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was one of the 42 that semi-watched this podcast. They did spend a good portion of last years complaining about covering the team and having better things to do. Same for the early part of this year. Look there are Jet podcast nutcases that have been podcasting for over 10 years of their losing, sure Panthers are in a rough patch, but they couldn't stomach watching and investing time? I can not say I blame them at that point, but now they want to come back after some wins?!?!? Pfffffffff weak BS. Glad the former players told them to stay gone. You'd never hear from them if Panthers were still losing.. -
Seems like the fans, public, and even league don't care. Feels like Im dreaming....

It took a prayer ball to XL from Dalton for the seal. It was awful windy and honestly don't know if BY had a 1st down pass in that final drive. He surprised the hell of me in many 4th quarters, I will say that....he has 8 wins that came for game-winning drives...I think he's only got 9-10 total wins. That's part of this crazy panther ride, such a strange team and the out-comes this year.
-
I got BYs on this 1:4 ratio. Good:bad. *there has been more good in most of the recent games.....just use his last 9 games from last year as a starting point. Outside of one or two games, his whole rookie campaign was 98% bad...... You can even break it down more, quarter-wise he has lots of 3 bad and 1 good games.
-
Id trade about dang near anyone, Panthers have ZERO untouchable players. If some bad team wanted to offer three 1st, others mids, and decent player or two for the main man dbrown....... Dbrown you can always come back home when you're ready, enjoy yourself.

FYI Dowdle was a HS QB and I believe he's the emergency QB. I don't know why its sooo hard to have a few plays where both Rico and Chubba on the same play. Both have good hands and both can pass block/blitz pickup. I always complained about this during jstew and dwill era, use both!!! Hell fake a HB drive to Chubba and setup a screen pass to Rico, BANG 12 yards....Its not like its against the rules to play 2 RBs at the same time. -

Tossing in another ______ in this piece. Most QBs picked in the first are going to terrible teams(Especially the top ten). QBs picked in the later rounds get their odds of success increased by landing on iggles or chiefs. Hence why I placed Joe Burrow sooo high on my list. Maybe the best DC in NFL history agrees- https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2025/07/09/steve-spagnuolo-joe-burrow-is-second-best-nfl-quarterback-to-patrick-mahomes-chiefs-bengals/84514443007/ Wins, putting up numbers while limiting your TOs on a bad team, that's the impossible feat. Maybe try to fit Joes early years into this formula, if the formula is sound, Joe should be in the top 5% if not the top. -
being born with a old soul doesn't work well in this era, I was interwebz old before interwedz started.
