I didnt like Howell til the 4th. I still member the commies drafting rgIII and cousins in the same draft.....one is still playing at a high level and the other is making faces and has a mic for games. Shame they traded 2 for 2 commies picks in order to pick Brandon(on IR) Smith LB....... the commies used the panthers pick on howell. Id supported the pick with the 4th or 5th rounder. I also heard If Corral was picked before the trade with pats, the plan was to pick howell.

Im fairly sure RR won a late (week 16, i think) season against the iants that year and that lost us the herbo pick.........allllll accounts were thats who herniay loved.......thats the only saving grace, no more herniay

Played like a NFL QB, I still dont want him for anything more than some backup money deal...
-
tell him panthers have the 49ers 2,3,5 picks soooo sooner they lose better the picks are!

So I need to tell Candice Swanepoel "no thanks" since she can only for the weekend?

"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal
Basbear replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think thats his best stat (without this years snap total). 4th in pressure is very impressive. Thats a impact and could result in a TO for the unit. Where a 2nd down and 4 sack in the first half just means its 3rd and 8(unless its a FF which is the elite standard). I do think your line of "top ten' is waay too rich, but nothing too crazy.. -
How on there are panther fans whom dont want Harbaugh cause he may only stay for 4-5 years??? And theres worry about just getting one SB win and stink after?? holy god, what in the wide world of sports is going on??? Carolina Panthers. think about it.....

"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal
Basbear replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
How about this- Burns has 12.5 sacks in 951 snaps. reddick has been mentioned, what about a player on the panthers roster right now? Marquis Haynes has 5 sacks in 432 snaps. So bad mathz, if haynes was given Burns snaps he'd have at least 11+ sacks....... Both haynes and burns have nearly the same success against the run. Feels like there are plenty of options that show better value than what Burns will get......*still unknown* -
whose your projected 2023 Panthers HC / QB combo
Basbear replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
HC- Shane Steichen QB- The man, the myth, the legend gardner minshew -
should have drafted howell with their 5th rounder(before the trade for Bsmith rights whom is on IR)

I heard rams had a similar offer for CMC............... that hurts....

"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal
Basbear replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
He still has the CJ henderson "lost" face, but had a few plays that caused a negative effect on the opposing offense. Plus hes doing better on pass rushing from the inside, no longer a run defender only. Hes still very young even for 2 into his career. -
Rapoport and Pelissero talk head coach openings
Basbear replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Before the media heat, that one my reasoning with him. If its a "QB" league, who is great in the last five years? Steichen looks like the best, cannot get AndY Reid(reasonable). The before and after with Teams/QBs also shows Steichen had a HUGE effect...herbo took a step back after having the best rookie QB season in NFL history, rivers looked better than prime-version, hurts looks like the mvp and the year without steichen he looked like a Darnold path was happening. Im not fad person, but the young offense HC has had great recent results. You need to be able to use alllllllllllllllllll the new technology available......just facts that mid-late 30s old years are better than 60+ dudes who grew up with film..... -

Wrong thread and all, but YGM just had both of his best games in the last two weeks.....maybe he turned a corner, be huge if.... -

I think the only reason to keep burns if fitt has already bounced terms off his reps and you got the reply " Brian wants to stay in carolina, its his top NFL goal". Im not his biggest fan, but also know his age and 10+ sacks are close to elite QBs worth. Reddick was brought up and he signed a 3yr 45 mill deal......thats value. Using that scale for Burns, he should sign a similar deal if not less.......it will not happen tho... I Honestly cannot recall one play from the season with burns that was a late 4th quarter 3rd/4th down sack to help win the game. Did he have any game changing plays, or is it my poor memory? -
Draft screwed…. Season screwed…. Coaching screwed…. Future screwed
Basbear replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
The last year has been the worst one for me on the huddle-wise. Thered fellow was a one-toxic team tornado, but the mass has turned close to that constant turd toxic behavior..... i do get the last five years have led to around 5 wins each season, it has taken a toll......and rhule era didnt help. Like you can look at the negatives or positives, imo theres plenty for each.....just the current focus is super negatives......not asking for ultra rainbow and puppies awwww feels...but a thanos deal where balance is it......thanos for owner/mod team!! -
yes. tank one meaningless game in efforts to better draft capital in each round.
-
following orders, i think he already has a lawsuit against the NFL and part of it is the losing. GM fitt could also load up on IRs, all players are hurting at this point- moore, shaq, brown, motown. nothing wrong about playing young players for the last game, let shaq start and get a few more snaps then put in the PSer

3 years for 45 million, is 4x the value that burns contract will be.....for the last three years reddick has been the better player.....plus is not soft about rush defensive even with his 230 LB frame.
-
He was close to averaging 3 recs and 50 yards......look for a run first team along with dj moore....those are not "jags" numbers. He needs a REAL WR coach, not some BC rookie....A legit 20 exp year gray hair guy. Plus he needs to come into TC in his best shape. Im not ready to cut him, but hope he has more of a impact.....it was a god damn joke for rhule to keep him inactive especially once the season was over, soooo dumb.
-
For starters, just start taylor and henderson...... play the rookies and young ones.....keep letting AL call the D......Be smart about play-calling, pull out the old john fox draw play on 3rd & long.....stuff like that. its very simple, you HAVE to start planing for next year NOW and NO ONE WILL GIVE TWO SHIITS ABOUT THIS GAME YEARS FOR NOW. Lose, in order to win in the future.

I believe michigan offered over NFL money and jim went there in college...dream job blah blah blah....plus with some NFLers jim didnt connect well with. You have much more power&control in college.....at least before the new BS rules. NFL is going more and more of a NBA type coaching path.......the players ruin/run the teams..... like take this for example- just to prove the point- if lamar jackson went to the owner and was like " I'll sign a 38per type deal, but want steve wilks as HC"....I think john would be on market very shortly.
-
Jim isnt my #1 choice, but if all it takes is a top 8 contract and he wants ________ as GM.......like you said " sorry bout your luck there fitty and I hope you rented....." This is the type of move I want form the owner. Jim no matter what you, i, or others think, hes a B-I-G fish and tepper is deep ocean fishing here....doesnt matter if Jim doesnt want it, thats part of the reason for the call. Does anyone know what type of buy-out michigan has?? 7 million baylor price didnt stop tepper.......i hope at some point jim was a short-order cook as well.........and likes well-done steak with red dye and sugar.....

Report: Jim Harbaugh wants to return to NFL (Athletic)

Starting in 23, feels like the first one to land a top 12 QB has the keys to the future...
