Allen was a mid-season trade for a team with deep playoff dreams. Didnt a DE get hurt as well, my memory is awful these days. He also lost a bunch of weight trying to be a OLB i think too. You could say David Carr in a way.. Just this 2 win team doesnt fit white right now.

You do know hes torn his achilles and the same for his ACL the year before. He never was that fast either. Plus the last time panthers signed "big name" FAs was Ken Lucas and Mike Wahle. Forever ago and it didnt go the best for the panthers. I know better given the current cap number and current team. But by alll means get happy about signing all those big names.....

I thought it would be a 3 year rebuild, but Ive changed. I believe it will be 5 full years. 40+/- players, giant ? at QB, and bare min young talent....... I dont see how its possible in 3 years unless miracles happen. I mean the NFC south HAS to get better during this 5year rebuild too. Falcons are one good QB and HC form owning the division. Saints keep drafting great and will fired allen once his spell wears off. TB has another 2 years before they need to blow it up and fired their HC too. Still owe bears the 33rd in 2025 as well..... Morgan has taken over a expansion team in 2024 and hired his bro to fix the least talent team. Even if they start doing the right moves and drafting well, its still going to take yearS.

Well we are at two ends of the debate here, I feel hes vastly underrated and you vastly over. For sure he would be on my all-time panther team, Id even list him as the #1 CB easy. He is like moton/kalil very quiet with very good steady long term play. He wasnt scared to tackle like many CBs are(bad technique tho). He finished 5th all-time and you know the MLB studs panther history has(hes above minter a tackle machine). he has 9 more INTs than 2nd place and 13 more than the next CB on the list. Most times he kept #1 WR in check, there were times he followed them. He had huge success rate in advance stats- in the 2011 season Gamble allowed a catch every 18.1 snaps in coverage. That's 2nd best in the NFL. QB's had a 45% completion rate when throwing at Gamble, which is 4th best in the league. He could play zone and man at the same good levels. Other CBs had better single seasons, but not careers.

I fully know predicting draft picks is near impossible after the first couple picks. Plus you are right ONE QB can cause a domino effect that changes every teams plans. But still you got some great guesses.

Bell played well and with woods, its the only position on the roster thats average-above in play/talent. Wouldnt surpise me, safety across the league are getting cut. Most teams always try to save $$$ there. Thomas should have never been re-signed in the first place. Huddle was right.

I loved all the other FA moves, including sanders. But 100% hated this move. The guy I wanted was Schultz and was shocked that houston only got him for 6.5million after dallas tagged him. Then comes news 6 year 30 million deal for never done nothing hurst. ????? WHY ???? Fitfugup had issues identifying talent to sign and what he had on the team. He should have seen tremble and hubbard taking the steps to be the starters, but he dropped bags of cash on sanders and hurst both of whom could be in the top 5 FA busts.

Yea, just sad time-line to be a panther fan with these WRs. More and more its looking like Adam will be the #1 target again for the upcoming season. 34 years old and 2nd year in slot which he hates.
