Not the claw, but heard hours ago panthers hired Bert Watts as safety coach. He coached OLB at broncos, young in college ranks before, short NFL tenure. Juan got the uncle joke before I could add...

Looking back at the prior staff (as opposed to now)
Basbear replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lots of effort into this, thanks scot! i knew some of it and this helped with the parts i forgot. I remember hating and blasting rhule signing all his baylor/temple bros. Most huddlers called me a hater, and alll i was doing was saying a highly question those hires. great thing is, franks doesnt have me questioning his.......i wonder why??? hmmmm -
A Statistical Analysis of Signing Carr vs. Trading for L. Jackson
Basbear replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
You need to bump a couple of the those watsons and see who were against trading three 1sts and bunch of other picks for watson....... Hint: I was one and many were blasting me, per normal......dam shame no one members these posts, gives the wrong all the power...... -
would you be opposed to moving back up for Bijan Robinson?
Basbear replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bijan makes me want to break my rules. Hes the #2 guy after carter, just happens to play RB. 22 years ago hed be the no question first pick. Love to have him and I HATE investing into the RB.......CURSE YOU MARTY HERNIAY!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Frank in one of interviews said along the lines " Mr. tepper wants the best coaches possible, (semi-pause....) not my buddies". Us fans were extra hard on tepper for rhule and crew, 100% deserved. This second time, just feels vastly different and the focus is on point. You can always nit-pick like not landing Vic as DC, but even without the OC, TE, WR, DL, S, and strength coaches(trainer too)....this is the best staff panthers have had.....loads of exp and great mix of youth......each are talented and the old guard is proven in battle times. Nice dose of hopuim for us fans....

Like that tune. Plus I think I still have my first package of zig zags I bought many many moons ago.....the rough crew I came up with were alll about teh blunts.......and i maybe the first human who quit after visiting colorado. it was a big deal to me seeing friends and others, wake up and immediately grab their dap stuff.

Dam sorry bro.....Im the matt rhule of spelling, words, and grammar....
-
Wasnt big on him either, but did see he was college DC at a mid-tier school. Plus Evero jumped on him. Honestly dont know enough to form a opinion about either.
-
Yea, Khalifa was my darkhorse, I could agree with that. Along with lowering one of the others not named johnson. My eyes and mind wanted a young HC and had old man river as the backup plan.....No issue with the outcome given I didnt sit in on interviews.
-
Cooley would be my first "meh".....but hes very young and with ramsey gotten results....but a big ehhhHa. He may still have a hold on some of the college players given 2020 was his first year in the pros.
-
I was 93% Steichen 5% frank reich(insurance) 1% khalifa 1% johnson Even tho, he was not in it, I would have loved Raheem Morris....Have him right next to Steichen

Raider fans have the worst extreme takes. Carr is either a golden god or whale shiit.

Whichever NFC south team lands, becomes the clear favorite.......(well not the failcons)////

Just need a no neck strength coach with staff and a cutting edge head trainer.
-
Im in the group of "theres no true #1". I feel starting in the 2nd, WRs will be is high demand, but not much cream.....

Whats the over/under of HCs in his 9 years? 20?!?!? How many OC and different system during??? I think at one point he had 3 different HCs within 8 months or something crazy.... IF not for the brown, raiders would be the punchline of alll the jokes. Now its a race between raiders, cards, and colts....
-
And thats better than the last 5 years of Matt Moore, Broken Cam, Darnold, baker, teddy, ghost of pickles etc.... And I agree hes right there with cousins, whom I wouldnt want to buy 40+ million for. Carr shouldnt come close to that, but this is the bat-poo NFL, some team team may........
-
I think the only QB available would be AR and for many reasons he needs to sit. Carr has to be looking to rebuild his "street" credit among NFL teams, panthers can help him out on some one year type of deal. So what if he has a great season and other team signs him, AR should be oil'd up and ready.
-
I think one of big things on the table is the current NFC south QB group. Whoever lands Carr has the best QB in the division, by far.....no matter the feelings of haters. Ive thought for over 2 months, 4 QBs will be drafted in the first 8 picks.....Carr doesnt cost draft picks..... Plus Irsay just f'd up and gave away the farm about colts QB plan. Carrs deal could be in the "cheap rebuilding my self vein" or it could be a tepper flexer........(TM)
-
Even if Carr signs, why would that stop the panthers from drafting a QB??

For a QB looking to rebuild his resume......panthers looking sooo hawt right now... Im not a Carr fan, but like him more than many huddlers. Carr has had 20 HCs during his raiders era, think about it.....I bet more OCs too... Raiders have ranked 32 in defense since Carr was drafted. Then theres the one playoff game and inconstancy, but I blame the raiders org much more than Carr. Hes in the Cousins group for me.

How will this coaching team effect free-agency?
Basbear replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
It will help the type of player that has 3 of the same offers, it would favor panthers. Boze is a recent example and Rhule did pull in his baylor/temple players when they were available. I know many dont like this, just giving a example- Say Carr wants to rebuild his resume and panthers now have frank, jim, and some other QB guru type......he knows thats a path to get teams back to paying him one of those watson/mahomes type contracts. It can not hurt, only help......and panthers need alll the help(I wish CMC was still here with this group...)
