Stephen Davis played three seasons with us and spent 33% of that time on IR.

The draft decision was absolutely correct between those two options. Our extension was not. Fournette's probably playing for relatively cheap in Tampa Bay.
-
It wasn't with ease. They nearly ran out of time if not for the blown coverage by the backup who just came in. Also, they got a lucky defensive pass interference call to jumpstart the drive. Wilson took a deep sack as well.

This offense hasn't moved the ball much at all when CMC has been out. Expect total offensive trash for the rest of the season.

O-Line is overmatched at all times. I hope the low IQ fans understand that you have to have a functional team. Relying entirely on a QB is not viable. -

A large, vocal group here believes we are a superstar QB away. Oh, and who cares about the assets (player(s) and draft picks) lost for such a trade. -

This team statistically was second prior to this game. I don't believe we are actually anywhere near that in reality when factoring in context: strength of schedule, average opponent field position, and health of opponent’s offense.
-
Just look at the scores of our games this season. The only time the defense has shutdown offenses came against banged up teams on 2nd and 3rd string QBs. The Saints was ok… but really think that offense took a major hit going from Brees to Winston.
-
Which is why the front office and coaches are sabotaging our potential for success. We use draft capital and insane salary cap on our QB blunders. We draft two WRs that have zero impact. With these decisions, there’s clearly no concern about a clean pocket.
-
Truth is this defense hasn’t really stifled any teams outside of 3rd string QBs and garbage-tier offenses.
-
Hold up. You think this is the first time the defense hasn’t performed well? We’ve invested heavily there and it still falls apart. Edit: And what the hell is the “aren’t hiding their true intentions?” People can’t have the opinion that the coaching isn’t sufficient or that the roster still has critical holes to fill?
-
That’s the point of the thread. This team wasn’t a good QB away from competing.

Trash defense. If not for that fortunate fumble recovery, this defense would fully have lost this game. -

Cam with the vintage playmaking. Need a stop and points before half. They get ball. -
It's likely necessary so that we can utilize more of the playbook. 1.5 weeks to learn an offense is insanity. Cam needs more time and I'd rather he be afforded that time than get thrown to the wolves. Edit: The bye week is perfect timing in that regard.

People were questioning Teddy's desire to win while here, but I definitely remember a 4th down conversion run where Teddy absolutely put his body in jeopardy to fight for the yardage.
