I'm pretty sure he has 4 sacks and 3 of them came in one game. I didn't hate him as a primary run defending Edge, but I'm not mad about letting him walk. He had one good game. The seahawks paid Matt Flynn because he had two good games.

So he's letting the football people football, and the product is improving instead of deteriorating? Who in the world would have believed such a thing.

If we can actually turn it around, I can forgive him. To his credit, he's clearly taken a step back and let the football people football. He had to learn the hard way though. When we make the playoffs again, I'll forgive him formally.

I hate to find myself rooting on the offseason again, and I am looking forward to watching us these last few weeks. That said, we are effectively out of contention. I am very interested to see where we spend money, and where we spend draft capital. We get 95 back, but DT has been a massive weakness for us this year, especially in the run game. We also have hurt at edge, but when some guys got healthy, we we've been better there, but not great. I think linebackers and secondary have overperformed, but Mike Jackson, Xavier Woods, and Jordan Fuller are Free Agents. I'm not sure I'd resign any of them, and definitely not for big money. If they want to play on team friendly deals, let's go. On offense, the line has been really good, with Center being a glaring weakness. We could really stand to add in the RB room, the TE room and the receiver room. Lots of needs, but a good o-line can hide a lot of ugly.

We have some winnable games left. The schedule is bout to lighten up tremendously, and we are playing good ball. I think this is counting a lot of chickens that haven't hatched yet.

First: You can fix body catching. He's just got to put the work in. Second: I know I'm going to get some poo emoji's for this, but his drop rate isn't that high, they just all seem to come in big moments. I do wonder if that's fixable, because that sounds mental to me.

The time spent watching Andy was invaluable to him. You can just see he has such a better handle on what he's supposed to be doing. In college, he was so good, and his team was so good, he didn't have to do as much pre-snap as he is doing now. What really excites me is the way he's doing this. It's not raw ability, it's chess. He can play this brand of football for a long time. For the love of god let's keep investing in the offensive line.

Couldn't agree more. We have to take BPA. I'm not as high on the edge players as you are, but that's fine, we all have opinions. I think your list is the pool of players that we are choosing from. I am of the opinion that we will win a couple of games, which is going to drop us in the 7-10 range.

We may be able to keep it close if Bryce has another good game. I just see them dominating with their ability to run it, and our inability to stop the run.

There’s a thin line between “emotional leader” and “distraction. while I do think throughout most of Sam’s career he’s been an emotional leader, I think he’s crossed the line over to “distraction” this season.

I really am not as concerned about position as I am concerned that we get a really good pro bowl caliber player. It is critical that we hit with this pick. The good news is, the positions that this draft seems to have an abundance of talent appear to be our deficiencies. I think travis hunter will be gone, but I'd love a good CB, DT, or Edge. I could see the top player at any of those positions reaching us except travis hunter. T-Mac is the type of talent that I would be thrilled if we drafted. While I'm not sure WR is where I want to spend this draft capital, he looks like a guy that's going to play for a long time and break some records. Reminds me a lot of Mike Evans.

I don't know how anybody watches this team this season and has this take. We are miles better than we were week 1. If we were slightly better he would be in serious contention for coach of the year, and he should be. My only concern right now is that we win too much and lose draft position to get even better.

He's had bad penalties on special teams in back to back weeks in one score games. I don't get the love affair. He's a captain.

I am all about this. Weak DE/Edge draft. Pair Mason Graham with Derrick Brown. Need a CB2, and we are cooking with peanut oil. Some of the young edge pieces we have are playing well since getting healthy. I wouldn't hate a WR, but I think the next step for this team is improving on Defense.

Not going to sugar coat it, that was unbelievably bad from Eddy. That said, the specialist on both teams were very poor tonight. Punters and Kickers. The fact that we saw so many bad punts and kicks invites me to give him a pass, and I will for now. I'm not sure what it could have been though. It was very windy at kick, and the temp dropped quickly, but that was just a bizarre game on special teams. And Sam Franklin, you are a captain, please stop committing stupid penalties in one score games on special teams.

Absolutely best case scenario. We aren’t winning the Super Bowl, we just absolutely kicked their ass, and we maintain draft position. there’s a lot of people in New Orleans, Atlanta, Tampa, and Chicago hitting the “oh poo” button.

A Quarterback in this mold is and was always going to take a long time to develop. I think he still has quite a bit to go. We didn't draft him for his foot speed or arm talent. We drafted him to be the leader and commander of the offensive unit. and he is growing in that capacity on a weekly basis. Being smart and being able to make the correct adjustment and get your team into the right play and being able to get the ball to the right spot is the most important thing an NFL quarterback can do. You can scheme around it, you can simplify, you can try everything, but those skills make a dominant NFL quarterback more than anything else. More than anything else, that's what the Montana's, Brady's, and Manning's do. And those are the ones you want. What we are seeing with Mahomes is a guy that has the brains, unique arm talent, and above average foot speed. He may go down as the greatest. I don't see that in Bryce's future. He's got a long way to go, but he's showing he's capable of being that game managing, offense controlling guy. While that type of quarterback is the most dominant, it also takes the longest to get them game ready, and if they don't ever get to a dominant level, they often don't pan out. So it is a risk.

Adding Derrick Brown back into this unit is going to be massive. I love T-Mac from Arizona, but if we added a Mason Graham type DT as well, I think we have the makings of a really stout unit on that side of the ball.

I know Evero isn't incredibly popular at the moment, but I really don't fault him for this season's poor defense. This defensive unit has been decimated with injuries. Since a couple of those guys have gotten back, they've been pretty solid.

I personally would really appreciate a candid message from Tepper to PSL holders. Despite all evidence to the contrary, I do think he is miserable every Sunday right now. I do think he wants to win, and be a good owner. I do think he knows that he screwed up what was a very solid NFL franchise. Just a message of "hey, I get it. This hasn't bee fun. I've asked for more of your money. Please stick with us. It's going to get better." Tepp has a long way to go for me to ever truly like him. That said, if he ever does get it on the right track, I hope he takes similar measures to what some other franchises have done, and punish season ticket holders that sell constantly. He can't do that right now, as panther tickets have no value, but when they do, that would immediately let me know that he cares.

RZ stats would look a lot better with less drops. Pre snap penalties killed us in the RZ today. Ick gotta figure it out. Can't be drafted that high and make those mistakes. He's been really good after the ball is snapped.

Canales deserves a lot of credit. I'm very pleased. He's definitely making strides with Bryce. I also think some of his lack of commitment to Bryce as the starter is to motivate Bryce. I think he liked what he saw when Bryce was benched. Even the Defense looks tremendously better with just a couple more pieces getting healthy. Wonnum has made our pass rush viable again. I would love to see this team with one more good player across the defensive front, DT or an edge rusher.

First: The fans that were there supporting the panthers were very loud. I was shocked with the amount of noise they produced, because it was at least 90% KC fans in that stadium. Second: I can't blame a single fan for selling tickets. Tepper has driven a proud franchise into the toilet. As much as I wish the stadium was full of black and blue, I can't blame people for making money on a product they've paid thousands for, they've been charged more for, and has gotten worse over time. Third: I think this team is turning a corner. With a healthy 95 next year, and some investment on the defensive side of the ball in the draft and free agency, we have a chance to be good. So I hope y'all will come back.

He's definitely getting better. It's fun to watch. I've been getting killed for this take, but with the current state of college football, it just takes more time to develop a quarterback. I don't think it's a plug and play position anymore. I'm really not sure if it ever was. NFL offenses have always been substantially more complex than the college game, and the college game has simplified even more in recent years. Many college teams do not have a physical playbook anymore. That's just not the national football league. Are there freaks who have success from day 1? Yes, without question. But so many of those guys are runners, and so many of those guys tail off. Is Bryce ever going to be Josh Allen? Probably not. What I am seeing is a guy with complete command of the offense. He's checking into things at the line, making adjustments, and making timely throws. He goes to David Moore a ton, because Moore is a consistent route runner. Bryce knows where he is and when he should be open. I think the guy with the "super processor" needs to be comfortable in the offense in order to do the "super processing." He doesn't have elite arm talent, and he is small of stature, but if he makes the smart play consistently, and he's willing to throw the ball downfield and not make mistakes, like he's starting to show, he's going to be a starter for a long time in this league, and it's not a position I'd spend draft capital right now.

I am very pleasantly surprised. I said this in another thread, but the bottom of the league is absolutely terrible this year. I'm not sure how much I value some of these wins, but, at least they aren't losses. Our organization has been so nonfunctional, I'm not sure you can really evaluate either of these two. Dan Morgan has done some things I love. Canales has done some things I love. We are nowhere near league average though. So tough to say. I don't find either to be fireable right now. The measuring stick is the w/l record, and that appears to be improving from last year, for whatever that's worth. Going into this season I thought we were a bottom three team in the league, and then Derrick Brown got hurt, making us even worse. I think we have overshot my very low expectations. But we are not even playing the same sport as the best teams in the NFL right now.
