  1. I was spotted in Charlotte yesterday too, but I don't see any threads about "ImfromClayton" playing for the panthers. The disrespect.
  2. You gotta trust your evaluation. I could def see T-Mac being the highest rated WR in the draft, and available at 8. If you think he's Mike Evans, you have to take him. If you think he's just an above average NFL player, I think you have to go defense. That said, if he's there at 8, I could see somebody knocking on our door trying to get him. I don't want to trade out of 8, but I do see a scenario where it could be our best option if all the defensive players we value that highly are gone. This is why the scouts make the big bucks.
  3. Vinny, God bless you, and thank you for entertaining my family and I for the last decade plus! Our entertainment team and the product on the field was just absolutely top notch in your time. You will be missed.
  4. the "NFL is rigged" stuff is complete nonsense. And if you do believe it, wasting your time here is quite a choice. Or you can believe the NFL wants it's worst franchise in New York City. Or that it wants its dynasty in Kansas City, Missouri.
  5. Maybe I'm off on that, but I thought it was pretty well accepted. Part of why I was upset when we traded for Bryce, knowing how bad we were going to be. Bryce still has a chance to be the better player though.
  6. We know Ben Johnson wants a ton of control over roster decisions. I'm sure Chicago relinquished that. I get it on his part. Caleb Williams has been the "Andrew Luck" prospect for years now. Not shocking that Ben wanted that guy. I also do think the Bears roster is a lot better than our roster, not that we should be comparing anyway. Here's hoping we make everyone of those deep dish mfers regret that trade.
  7. For me, this was always the retooling year. I was deceived by the insanely hot start. I think your assessment is spot on. Time to call up some of the young guys on the farm, let the old guys walk. and I hope we move some pieces and get a bigtime goaltender. I still don't think we can make a run this year, but following this year, we should have a roster capable of getting it done for the next several years. Never know what can happen if you just get a ticket to the dance though.
  8. I think we are a great candidate to trade down. I know we have 9 picks, but if we could somehow move back to the middle, or back of the first round and get another earlier 2nd round pick, I think that's the way to go. We need more humans on our roster that can compete at an NFL level on the defensive side of the ball. We can address some of that in free agency, but not all. I'd definitely consider a move back to 10-14, if it involved an early 2nd, and from there, I wouldn't totally be opposed to a move back to the late first, pending compensation. This draft is deep at some of our positions of need, and I think we'd be wise to take advantage of that. Of course, this is all mute if one of your "dudes" is there when you pick at 8. Definitely no need to trade until draft day.
  9. I really appreciate the candid look into things here. It couldn't have been easy for those guys to say that. His energy had to be terrible for it to make an article like this. I'm very glad it improved. It sounds so stupid, but at that level, when everyone is good, something as small as energy level can make a big impact.
  10. This is why I think we may be incentivized to trade back in the draft. Those 6th and 7th round guys are at least NFL caliber guys if you draft decently. We have a lot of non-NFL guys playing, and certainly across the depth chart. Those late round picks will be more valuable to a team such as ours.
  11. I love that little mock draft tool, but it's definitely flawed. Savion Williams consistently drops to the 6th/7th when I do it, and he's likely a day 2 pick. Mike Green is the same. If the Rams keep playing well, I could definitely see us trading back if the price is right. Would definitely come off of pick 8 and pick 60 (hypothetically) For something like pick 15 and pick 45. Not to mention those 6th and 7th round picks are going to mean a lot more for us than they will other teams. Our roster stinks and needs NFL quality players, especially on defense. I definitely could see us trading back and acquiring more picks. All three of our specialists are free agents as well.
  12. XL is fine. Looks like a good 2nd round grade guy to me. I think a lot of people wanted Justin Jefferson.
  13. The wise decision would be for a QB needy team to draft Sanders and hold the cowboys hostage. Deion probably won't coach for the cowboys if they don't have him, so you could get a premium. This is going to be fascinating.
  14. As happy as I am with how the season finished, we still have a lot of needs. I don't think we will be able to address them all in the draft. May take some creative solutions, like what is mentioned here. Our roster has a large quantity of guys that just aren't NFL caliber players. In that way, if we can just keep the same quantity of draft picks, or potentially get a higher number of draft picks, I'm not all that opposed to some draft day trades. If through that we land at Garrett Wilson somehow, let's go.
  15. Not sure how legit this source is. Not to mention teams put out a lot of interference this time of year with their intentions. We likely aren't going to get an inside look at the franchises plans and intentions until they happen. But I guess that's what message boards are for.
