My expectations are high and I’m not lowering them. This franchise preached to us all off-season how focused they were and how just making the playoffs was no longer accepted and their goal was to take the next step. I bought into that. It’s really disappointing to see the same issues that plagued us the past few season appear seemingly worse this year. And our pedigree which is a suffocating fore check that creates turnovers and high danger shots and the best PK in the league are nowhere to be found. I hope Patches somehow magically changes our fortunes, but Rod is not without criticism. Love the guy to death, but your issues can’t get worse when you’re in a Cup window.

All that talk all off-season about focus and cup or bust, not being satisfied with just making the playoffs seems to be just that…talk. Last years team was significantly better.
