The team is also set up to be good for a very long time. On paper, I don’t know if they’ll have a better roster than they will have this year but they will be a centerpiece in the playoffs for close to the next decade.

If the powers that be at UNC truly realize that, then their football program may very well realize their potential. Still, 4 P5 programs and App State/ECU in state make things difficult for them.

These kids don’t care about tradition or what’s hanging in the rafters. NIL. Money is king as are the coaches that can navigate the transfer portal. This is why Deion at a school like T&AM is a threat.

My biggest fear is UNC realizing their untapped potential in football lol. I think the obvious is true; 4 in state P5 programs hurt. I don’t think UNC can be a national power in both football and basketball - but if they focused that NIL money towards football - oh boy.
