Moving on and moving up...QB.
USDepartmentOfSavagery replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m all aboard the Fields/Lance train. Do whatever it takes within reason to get one of them. We are going to be a more talented football team next year with or without Teddy. We will likely draft lower in next years draft as this team clearly does not believe in tanking. Get your franchise QB this draft while you have the capital and position and don’t throw poo on the wall like Mac Jones hoping it sticks. -
Go on record. Who still wants Watson?
USDepartmentOfSavagery replied to Sasquatch's topic in Carolina Panthers
Only way we draft Jones at 8 is if we truly believe he is a franchise QB. While I don’t think he is a franchise QB in the modern NFL I do trust the staff and organizations due process. I think we all should until they prove otherwise. I would prefer we trade up to a potential trade partner and guarantee one of Fields/Lance. -
Pretty interesting link to Texans subreddit to a detailed account of the current lawsuit(s) and other updates. Many Texans fans remain surprisingly skeptical, particularly of the lawyer. I’d imagine many of us would react in similar fashion if this happened to Cam during his prime. Nonetheless, this is likely the nail in the coffin of any potential trade and probably his career. Deservedly so if allegations are founded. Houston PD have also contacted the Buzbee law firm about potential criminal charges. Sign me up for Fields.

@Baba Yaga is pooing my post but believes “humiliation rituals” are a more believable story than 2 dozen women all claiming the same thing. Lol. -

Ah yes, my avatar is a great reference point in defending your bullshit narrative. 22 women (are) coming forward. You must be a Clemson fan lol. -

We are way mast the tin foil hat stage. Nearly 2 dozen women are potentially coming forward. Let it go. -
Fields just ran a 4.41

It was becoming pretty evident that Carolina was the favorite to land him. Do you have info that disputes that? And your last sentence is half correct. If the allegations are true, he should deservedly never sniff an NFL field again. -

Watson may have played his last down in the NFL. His legal team is going to have to respond to this press conference. -

Thank god for the huddle legal scholars. This entire case is unprecedented. It’s pretty simple. Either A) Watson is a psychopath with a bizarre sexual fetish that he uses his wealth and position to attain or B) it’s the largest conspiracy in the history of sports. There’s literally no in-between. And unfortunately for us, the Texans, and the women involved it’s looking like A) is the likely outcome. Time to focus on the draft. -

Do not touch Kevin King. That dude cost the Packers the NFC Championship. Dude is a liability out there, ask any Packers fan. -

Yeah. Marines are the most insufferable species on the planet tbh -
This being a conspiracy at this point would be obviously unprecedented and undoubtedly the biggest scandal/conspiracy in (sports) history. no way we trade numerous first round picks and starters for a guy who could have very well played his last down in the nfl. With that being said, this entire saga smells fishy and calling it odd would be an understatement.

Some Texans fans seem to think Watson knew this was coming out and that’s why he demanded a trade. Others think the Texans were aware of this and tried to get in front of it but Watson only saw that as admitting guilt which he was unwilling to do -thus leading to the trade demands. -

Look up this Buzbee dudes history. Specifically when he ran for Mayor. 100% a fraud. Fabricated text messages, etc to try to win the election. do I want Watson in Carolina? 100% I’m not going to undermine these women’s claims but the timing of this, the lawyer, and wording in these manuscripts seems....odd. Sexual assault is very real and way more prevalent that anyone here knows btw. -

K, can someone with some clout and credibility give a rational take on the current state of this going down with the “allegations”? Timeline, realistic expectations, etc.? thanks

I would rather win the SB once and have 9 other years of missing the playoffs than making the playoffs 10x in a row with no SB win. In hindsight, if trading for DW means we get only one SB, it is absolutely worth it.
