    Central Cabarrus. Probably the only elite athlete the schools has produced but AL Brown and Concord regularly poach the county school’s best.

    The team overachieved early and in the middle of the season. This late season “slide” is indicative of the teams overall talent and coaching, unfortunately. Need a good draft and off-season to get this team squarely over the proverbial hump. A lot of potential nonetheless.

    If Sam flames out and is unsuccessful, some (young) lucky QB is going to get the opportunity to step into a great situation with the pieces we have in place. Good problem to have.

    Choosing not to draft a QB who you think could be a franchise guy because he doesn’t fit an OC’s system is asinine. A franchise QB will be here for 10+ years. OC is a revolving door.

    So why were we prepared to trade multiple assets for Deshaun Watson again? I don’t want to hear that this draft class is unknown territory. Either you’re willing to take risks for a potential franchise QB or you’re not.

    I understand this assessment. But this was a rare offseason where there are potentially 4 franchise QBs in the draft. We were already willing to mortgage draft capital for Watson. Now we are going to surround Teddy with even more talent, likely win more games next year, and still not be in a position to draft a franchise QB.

    I actually commend the 9ers for showing the balls to put them in a position to draft a QB. They now don’t have to worry about luck.

    We will roll w/ Teddy and/or draft Mac Jones. Win some meaningless games next year, go 5-11, and miss out on a franchise QB. But don’t worry! We will take calculated risks and use advanced analytics in the process of keeping this organization irrelevant.
