With the draft approaching I have one question.
Black&BlueBubba replied to Catsfan69's topic in Carolina Panthers
0% . Because NE will trade for the pick. At 15 there is a 100% chance we will never see the pick. -
I know this..... this board is gonna explode if fields is on the board and we trade down.

Riot report breakdown how generational is Sewell
Black&BlueBubba replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
He’s better than what we have. That’s all I care about. -
I am also looking for Fitterer to trade back but still in range to get an impact player. I think he uses an extra puck to get a future RT. They are everywhere in this draft. LT’s not so much. I think that old Seattle background is gonna make him apprehensive to pay big money to Moton. Rumors were that he wanted 23 mil/yr. I think Fit will look for a replacement. With the state of out line that is concerning.

Was listening the other day to a podcast and they were talking about Stone Forsyth being a 3rd round guy with big upside.

No one in the league has picked up 5th year options. I think only one is done, Baker. They act like this is news. All the teams will exercise the options once draft is done and I am confident they will pick it up. Only time will tell if he works out.

Thinnest NFL Draft In Living Memory
Black&BlueBubba replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in 2023 NFL Draft
I think there are going to be a bunch of unknowns that will surprise out of the UDFA’s this year. But to know which ones they are for each team is a complete crapshoot. -
Also from another Athletics article: In three seasons with the Jets, Darnold has had trouble staying healthy, protecting the ball and not getting sacked. He is 13-25 as a starter and has only nine games of throwing for more than 8 yards per pass attempt. In 16 of those games he did not throw an interception, and in 12 he threw only one. In his 38 starts, Darnold has been on the ground 98 times; 723 of his passing attempts have occurred when his team was losing, as have 25 of the 39 interceptions thrown. The point is that Darnold played badly, but he was often playing from behind. By choosing Wilson, Douglas must believe Darnold won’t play well if the Jets are in front, either — though when you examine the numbers, Darnold shined with the lead. When the Jets were ahead, Darnold threw 19 touchdowns, eight picks and averaged 7.57 yards per attempt with a 94.4 quarterback rating, well above his career 78.6 average. It’s easy to say that Darnold is the reason the Jets were always behind, but that is not accurate. Douglas can say he wants to start anew, but he’d better hope that Wilson plays as well as, if not better than, Darnold when the Jets are actually in front.

Oh that’s right. Thank god for Burns falling.

Knew that was coming. Well done.

With this news I would be fine with a OL drafted every damn pick. So tired of the OL being a POS.
-
Fitterer only mentioned him as an afterthought in his press conference. He mentioned even Daley ahead of him. What a waste of draft picks. Meanwhile Cody Ford is probably still balling.
-
Another Hurney 2nd round trade up special. And the Grier pick is a waste also. I swear after the first round Hurney’s track record is 0.01%.
-
There were rumors before that they liked Darrisaw. I could handle a trade down to get a bunch of other picks as long as it leaves in the 13-15 range to get Darrisaw. There are no real day on starters out of the next tier of LT’s. Unless they thin Greg Little is gonna miraculously show up. That’s not a gamble I want to take.
-
Man I like what Fitterer is doing so far. Hopefully he follows it up with a great draft. Haven’t been this optimistic for a turn around in years.

I would not mind claiming this kid. CMC light. We were looking at him 2 years ago. Use the draft picks elsewhere.
