51 is the only retired number by Carolina, but no one has touched 89 or 59 yet. 1 was actually given to a player in 2019, a PK by the name of Elliott Fry

There has been some bad draft picks by Carolina, but the only one I would never wear would be Carruth

88 is worn by TMJ, 90 is being worn by Barno

Joe Person presents: Panthers 7-round mock draft spectacular
jfra78 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pick 39 seems to be the optimal pick to trade back to get an extra 3rd or 4th, where you can still find possible starters and quality depth -

Nah Collin is like Lathon without Greene
-
So the only way Young has a chance to be a decent QB is if Houston passes on him and Indy picks him at 4

Would love to know how fast he can throw. Stroud, Richardson, and Levis all threw around 60 mph. I hope the Panthers test this when they have personal workouts

Eli won super bowls but one could argue Rivers was a better QB

I think that's an eye

Good point. The Panthers should call MJ and asks who he likes.

Mina Kimes, Nate Tice discuss Panthers playoff possibilities
jfra78 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Winning the NFC south is our best way to make the playoffs. On paper it seems both Falcons and Bucs have regressed while the Saints and Panthers have improved. At this point it seems to be a two team race. Of course it's March 30th and we're 5 months from the season starting, so disregard everything I just said -
Always thought leak got a raw deal in the NFL, guess he was too small

Bryce Young will be the best QB ever in Charlotte
jfra78 replied to Diehardpanth02's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yea but it's true. When watching his highlights, on most of his long throws the receiver has to stop and turn around to catch the ball. Even at his pro day(where everything is scripted)there were only 2 catchable long balls. When he throws them he has so much body movement it looks like he's throwing a hailmary, CJ barely moves his arm when throwing deep. If we draft Bryce Young, I will support him, but I don't want a noodle armed QB -

My biggest problem with Bryce is not his size but his arm strength. He doesn't have enough zip on his ball to fit it into tight windows, and deep ball placement is awful for a top 10 QB -

Lazy take on CJ. If you watch enough film, you will see that he is proficient at looking off the safety and going through his progressions. He also can fit the ball in a tighter window and is more willing to push the ball downfield. He makes it look effortless, which you are mistaking for easy. -
