Saturday I took the family on the blue ridge pkwy and had a picnic. Was great If you go, be sure to take hand soap and bottled water to wash hands. Restrooms are closed

Mother in law just got diagnosed with pnumonia, they administered the test and will know the results in 3 days they said. She is 72 and a lung cancer survivor. Really worried about this

Not just that, its novel, meaning this is our first encounter with it and we have no immunity to it. The flu of 1918 was so deadly partly because we had no immunity to it. The swine flu was the same strain so it wasnt nearly as bad as the first time

They escorted a kid out of my daughters High School today for having contact with someone with the virus. I have a feeling schools will be shut down very soon

Well you have to know how many are infected vs how many die to get the mortality rate. The death rate for the flu is believed to be around .01%, where as the death rate for Coronavirus is believed to be anywhere between 1% and 3%

The flu epidemic of 1918 only attacked the elderly and young in the first wave. In the second wave it mutated and was much harder to fight. It affected 1/3 the earths population and had a 3% mortality rate. Lets hope history doesnt repeat itself
