We suck next year, but don’t go after a QB in 2025. They’re going to give Bryce 3 years. This next coach we hire will be gone by 2026. After 2 2-15 seasons, he’ll be let go.

Now that Rhule has been let go: Time to Suck Proud for Stroud

lol. interesting going back and reading this thread. -
Yep. I was one of many who have wanted us to tank and suck previous seasons, but even after not doing that, we still had our opportunity to get a franchise, elite QB. The team just missed on the pick. CJ was right there for the taking, and we didn’t take him.

I’m with you on this. I’d have no problem with the team admitting their mistake, and moving on right now. I just don’t see it with the kid, and I’m confident he won’t live up to that #1 pick. Sadly, I’m pretty confident it’s just not going to work in Carolina. I’d love to be wrong. I’ve pretty much made peace with next year being pretty bad. Hey, atleast in 2025 we start over the rookie QB contract clock. This new regime needs to come in and build a contending team for our new guy in 25.

Congrats to Armanti!

Just not the right time. Nay, and wish him all the best

Pride and ego. You know folks don’t like to be wrong lol

DJ is only going to get better. Sucks. He wanted to be here. He’s definitely a #1 WR, and that has been clear a long time.

Breaking, Ian Rapoport: Fitterer Fired

Good. He was the worst GM we have ever had as an organization, and during his tenure here, he was the worst in the league. I was scared they were going to keep him around. Glad Tepper got him outta here. Continue cleaning house, and listen to what the coaching firm has to say. -
Falcons coach gone. They wasted no time

We might not win a game next year. I just hope a generational QB emerges in that 2025 class. I hope one emerges, and we have the right staff in place to identify him. We passed one up this past draft. That is the only hope I have right now. 2024 is washed.

2011 - 2017 was the golden years. Team wasn’t as consistent as one would want, but they were the golden years, and peak Panthers football. Kids getting footballs after each TD, fans and players having fun at the stadium. We were only slightly above average record wise, but it was a good time. If we could’ve just gotten the coaching, and GM part right, we could’ve dominated. Unfortunately, we’re bottom barrel right now, from the players to coaching, to the front office/ownership. It’s all bad, and right now, that light at the end of the tunnel is nowhere in sight

Held on to that ball way too long. Looked like he had some one open too. -
The one true generational QB in the draft, and us at #1, missed on the pick. Depressing.

If one doesn’t like Tomlin, that’s fine. State that, and move on. There will be posters who come in here and trash him, but in other threads, will gush over other Steeler associates, saying how they have contributed to the Steelers being a model franchise, etc.

Our greatest season, and also the most fun. My little girl was created during this, and I remember both me and her mama used to watch the games. She even threw me a Super Bowl party that year. Fun fun year. Just sucks we couldn’t close the deal.

Stroud should’ve been the pick. He was the layup, and we decided for a pull-up 3. Pulled up, and air balled the shot.

Amazing feat to have never had a losing season. Would love him here, but that’s not happening. Would love anyone from that Steelers organization.

The bold is what I see happening if we happen to get Higgins.
