Will Charlotte ever have a parade?
AggieLean replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m just talking sh*t lol. I know the Canes get support in the triangle. I don’t know about Winston, and East NC is heavily melanated, so I don’t know and I know we’re not on hockey like that. I love it when NC wins period. So I support the canes. -
CMC just got activated and Sam cleared the protocols.

Yessir! Excited to see CMC back with PJ. We can win this game -

I was at the Braves parade. It was great. Took my daughter to see. They are my first love when it comes to sports -

Hornets will give the city one soon. They run the state right now. Folks don’t care about hockey like that. Panthers are magical every 10-15 years so they’ll be in a position to at some point. -
He’s right about Baker, and he was right about Jake. Both aren’t good QBs.

I'd like to file a missing person's report

Burns is doing well. He’s progressing nicely. It would be a mistake to judge this team solely on this year -
Honestly, that’s a big part of Robby’s issue. Again, he won’t say it. Robbie knew what it was in the offseason. I have no doubt he’s in DJ and the rest of the WR’s ear. He’s frustrated, and again, Robbie isn’t this bad. These dudes are human. So, it’s some truth to the fact that Robby got his check and has sort of checked out.
-
I didn’t play at the collegiate level, but I know the WR position. Played that my whole life. I know routes, and QBs aren’t putting the ball where it’s supposed to be. These guys don’t feel they’re being in a position to succeed. They won’t say it, but I know it. I see it.
-
That’s why I can’t let Cam completely go lol. He’s got heart, and the grittiest QB we’ve ever had. We didn’t do him right. With that said, I don’t want him back here. His shoulder just ain’t going to let him continue, and I think this staff is Rivera like. They’d try to capture that old thing and that’s just not there
-
Yep. That is why I’m not so down on this team. Even bringing in a competent stop gap, we’d be a playoff team. I think Heineke takes this team to the playoffs. If there’s a rookie that shows he’s capable, I draft him and still bring in a good backup. This team can make the playoffs next year. That’s if you can sell these guys on giving it another go next year.
-
Yep. That feeling is the only reason you bring in Gilmore and make that Henderson trade. They’ve all bought into the fact that they think they’re good enough now. Honestly, they are. With a better QB and maybe better play calling and coaching that would be a reality Sucks, because I’m sure that team feels they are good enough. I’m sure Gilmore thought they were

Sam is at worst with a clean pocket lol. A roided up line isn’t going to do us no good.
-
Lol this is true. Well, let me say I’m firm on my sit a year or 2 stance, but after a year or 2 we would have needed to draft a QB or traded for an established one.
-
Sam’s best game was a mediocre game for QBs ranked in the top 20-25. That’s just what it is. I got nothing against Sam. I can go overboard, but that’s just me going against his supporters, and admittedly with things that have happened in the past, it’s personal with me and them; I’m human. I will atleast admit my faults. I’m going to take my shots when they’re open. Anyways, I think Sam tries his hardest, he just ain’t it. I think the game is too fast for him. It’s unfortunate, because I want the panthers to win. I’m a Winston Salem cat. I’m tied to this team until the end.
-
Yean gotta do all that, I believe you. I just think DJ is a guy you absolutely lock up, and I’d have no issue doing it. He’s magical, and I absolutely believe he’s a #1.
-
I agree with this plan. I’m prepared to sit through another bad year to make sure we truly have our guy and do this right.
-
Well, if you got the proof I won’t question it. I’ll admit being wrong. I just don’t think DJ nor Robby is as bad as what we’re seeing this year. I also would lock DJ up with no concerns, providing we provide him a different QB. It’s about time we get him a reliable, accurate, good QB. He hasn’t had that since he’s been here, and I’m including that last year of Cam
-
Sam showed some heart this past game, so I’ll never take that away from him. It reminded me of when Cam was against Atlanta and dragged that defense for the first down. He was dead to rights 4 or 5 yards before the 1st down marker. Also, reminded me of the head shots; in particular, when that safety got him dead in the head but he came right back.
-
DJ is going to drop the ball at times. That’s just who he is, and the numbers show that. It’s never been this bad, though. The effort is also a concern, because again, that’s just not who he is or what he’s shown. He’s always been a guy that will wiggle out of tight situations, and try to fight for extra yards. Now, I understand this a contract year, so he’s trying not to get hurt, but I believe there’s something else there. I truly believe if PJ was the starter, you wouldn’t see these issues, or atleast not so much. I also admit, PJ isn’t that good
-
I can respect the bold. I’ll eventually ease off him.
-
Yep. I also don’t believe Robby is this bad; same goes for DJ. There’s something there that’s messing them up. Now, I don’t think we should have extended Robby, but I felt that because I’ve always felt that while Robby was a good receiver, he was a luxury for us. It’s also why I’m not going to be harsh on Terrace Marshall this year. He’s better than what we are seeing. I think he’ll be better with PJ.
-
Tepper is going to get involved here soon, and that’s for better or worse. I don’t think he likes what he’s seeing. Sam is not where he should be at year 4 and PJ isn’t it at all. Sam is a borderline backup, and PJ should be a 3rd string guy or not in the league. Sam’s numbers with a clean pocket were the biggest red flag that we ignored, and I think you’ll see after this years those numbers show the same
-
Nagy will be gone in a year or 2. Fields will be going into year 3 or 4, and will thrive.
-
Man, I don’t think PJ is the answer. In fact, I don’t think he’s very good at all. He’s not it at all. I want both him and Sam gone after this year.
