Good point. I don't remember seeing him get a single snap this preseason. Guessing we're trying to stash him on the PS.

I actually like our RB room. Sucks for him but we are stacked. Blackshear is legit. Not even stressing Miles.

I'll say for a lot of the crap the DJ Johnson pick got (and process wise, I get it) I have been pleasantly surprised by him. He's been pretty stout in the run game from what I've seen and I've seen some flashes in pash rush or just being in the right spot at least. He at least seems to be a guy who is catching on quickly.

I'm excited for Mingo and even if it's not immediately, I'd love to see him become the Alpha in the WR room. He has the right physical traits to do so.

And honestly the only other non-Bryce rookie I'm excited about is Zavala. I was super happy to hear that he held his own for the most part playing out of position technically, after missing the bulk of camp. I genuinely think he's the future at LG, maybe as soon as next year if not earlier. That's not a slight to Brady as much as it is what I think Zavala can be.

Brah! Giving me hope, well said!

I know you never do it but you should give out like one like a day.  It would make people strive to be better.

Lol no but really , I like the way you try to keep people grounded. This game gets me crazy, that's not a bad thing. It's the only thing that gets me over emotional. People can say ,if you care that much walk away. Maybe I want something that I'm allowed to loose my shizz over! Really hope you really do that. Get an Emoji from Scott and you won the day!

I've overreacted loads of times in my life, but luckily through the years I learned a thing or two.

Heck, just two seasons ago, we thought we were a lock for the playoffs after four games, but by December we saw the truth and most of us were calling for Matt Rhule's head.

Further back in 2003, we were (likewise) riding high for the first four weeks before the Tennessee Titans cleaned our clock in week five. The narrative pretty much everywhere was that we'd been exposed as pretenders, but that year ended in some of the best memories we have.

    You never know...

Had a good feeling about that year and bet 100 on the Bowl. We were 40 to 1. I locked myself in my room for 2 days after I'll just say Vinaterri shattered my dreams and my dad said, Jesus son, 4k isn't worth this, I said dad do you think I give a *** about that money (mind you I was poor)? Wanted my team to win 1 Super Bowl in my life. It's less than 1 in 32 with the mega teams out there. He called me a liar but it was the truth. 20 years later and almost my dream in 2015, here I am. Just want a sense of urgency. They may be 20-30 forever but I'm not.

I was in high school (and a 49er fan at the time) when The Catch happened. I think I jumped about as high as Clark did 😃

My first football memory is of The Immaculate Reception. I was five and my family had the game on at my grandma's house. Saw that play happen and was like "What is this?"

Fifty years later, I've played, I've coached, I've studied...hell, my wife gets me books on coaching and scouting for Christmas.

And in all of it, I've learned...

    ... patience.

Said elsewhere: It's a marathon, not a sprint. The team you see today will likely beat little to no resemblance to the one you see in December.

That's why rushing to judgment is a mistake.

I know I overreact. I'm so pumped for this year cause I feel myself slowly fading. Got the Mon. night game with my son. Few weeks later taking my nephew to game. I'm running out of time and time for next year!

Ive has my disagreements with Mr. Scott but that’s a bush league move, asking him how long he’s been a fan because he’s not worried about preseason because you have that low of self esteem.

I swear Panther fans are the most entitled and crybaby fan base on the internet sometimes, we could win the super bowl and some of y’all would still b*tch we have no first round pick.

I knew Mr. Scott was a veteran, just wanted to make sure he had sat threw all of our pain. You most likely a teen in the Cam Super Bowl.

Since before, actually. I was following when the team was announced.

I've been a football fan since 1972. Hell, when I was a kid they played six preseason games. Later on, they cut it down to four, then a few years ago to three.

Through all that time, preseason/ exhibition or whatever else they were called, they've always been about player evaluation, nothing more.

Hell, these games probably mean less now than they ever did.

Fair enough! First game I actually remember was Montana to Clark. What a nice memory. First Bball memory was Jordans 16 footer in the championship. My favorite sports year was the next with N.C. State with 5 packa tacka against 5 slama jama. Can still name the starting 5. When everyone else grew up to hate the other I found solace in rooting for all of our state teams, even Duke n Wake. Made life a lot more fun.

If Young (or anyone else) gets hurt in the regular season, it won't have jack sh-t to do with us losing preseason games.

Well if he doesn't make it to regular season and it's Jordans fault, I'll be coming to you for answers. Furthermore, of Icky gives it up I will also want answers, put him at guard til he knows what he is doing! Don't play Bryce another down if you call this growing pains, let hom get another QB buried!

  10. 28 years of have patience, it's worn thin. At least with my jean boy we could get excited every other year for awhile. Now I've grown old. Enough excuses, execute the play! When I built the focusing beams for laser  eye surgery, I didn't get to say to Wilma, oops my bad, sorry bout your empty socket! Icky wake up, never put Jordan out there again. To many issues with awe shucks guys, give em some more time! Do your job!

  11. You guys couldn't let my drunk thread die. Guess it's a little less gloomy than GOATS. Lol. I do get his sentiment. I'm so tired of sucking I am full guilty of reactionary posts even in the preseason. I'm holding out hope they can fix a lot of things but much more skeptical after the first two piss poor practices.
