Oh no the Panthers initial offer was little over 23m aav on a 5 year deal. Think 5 years 115m with 60m guaranteed.  That's what he turned down.

I sort of meant if we won't budge over 25. In all fairness the number should be 28. If he is demanding 30 that's too much and the people that will say really gonna let this happen squabbling over 2 million, yep it's already an overpay at 28, like I said there has to be a line but 25 isn't it.

Let's him and his agent say he's the 2nd highest paid edge player with the third most guaranteed of edge players.

Could be off on the second part, but I think that's right.

And if he is turning that offer down I can see why we are hard balling him. The line does have to be drawn somewhere. Let him protest for his six weeks. (Has to start by week 7 to accrue a season) Play it out, tag him once next year and then see ya. The offer you mentioned is more than adequate. Now if we're hard lining on 25 per then shame on us.

Not even an App fan but yeah, that was a fun game. Quite possibly the most memorable regular season college football game of this century.

Was about say what? Flutie! Got me with the, this century. Cheers brother, good luck to your Heels!

Meh, Burns will be completely wasted without anyone to take attention off him. If he has a down game or is taken out by the opposing team, the defense has already lost. Same story with CMC and the offense. And we remember comments that no that we have Young we can focus on defense lol. He has little to no weapons.

Panthers love replying on one player/dimensions all the time for some reason. Signs of a poor franchise. Would be nice to have to competency to get out of that pattern.

    Brown and Houston say

The Panthers have had the Saints number even before Dennis Allen.  The real question would be how many teams outside of division can the Panthers beat?

I think the order will be: Panthers, saints, Falcons, Bucs .  The bucks will be a wild card this year.

Sweet! So all of us will be in the playoffs! 😜

I had logged out and logged back in just to hear this again. Fun fact, this guy is actually a Panther You Tuber and is pretty damn good at it, wish I could think of the name of the channel.

Funniest Rhule impersonator, cracks me up everytime but at the end of the day I kind of felt bad for Rhule and Nebraska. Such a Panther way to lose. The fumble, the false start, the near pick. I think genuinely he is a nice guy, he may suck at his job but I don't care much for all the hate he gets. If someone is to be blamed it's Tepper. I've hated the last few years as much as everyone else but wishing I'll will on this guy seems a bit immature, awe fugg it, bullis rally up to Matt Rhule Jr, 6th grade class!

I don't know about others, but I don't want Burns leaving at this point. I wanted us to take the Rams deal, but the moment we rejected their final offer I was on board with keeping Burns. We're locked in now, and Burn's agent knows how highly Fitt values Burns because, if for no other reason, then because we rejected the Rams mega deal, and because of Fitt's statements to the media about Burns being our cornerstone player on defense. No need to use past stats alone to estimate his market value because we already know he's viewed as the key to our defense.

I would imagine Burns and his agent feel that they can write their own ticket so to speak. His agent is just waiting for the market price to be set, or for the Panthers to make their own bank busting deal ahead of time. Burns can put his feet up and relax and smoke a stogie at this point. His ship has finally come in. This isn't how I want the team to be run, where we lock in on a player who doesn't really dazzle me, and then pay him elite money while his agent has the edge in negotiations. As a fan who doesn't really care that much about the individual players, this doesn't make me happy. It gives me the same feeling I had when Marty Hurney signed Charles Johnson to a huge deal. The players are not the same of course, but I have the same bad feeling. Is Burns going to become this dominant pass rusher who changes the outcomes of some of our close games? The last game I watched him play he honestly looked worse than our backups, but of course you can't judge him by one game. I'm just saying I'm wary of the upcoming deal, but I do want to keep Burns at this point.

You keep sweetening this deal everyday, gonna be 6 first rounders soon. It was 2 and they started 2 years out, Picks drop a round in value every year. It was 2 firsts so essentially your 12 firsts was a second and a third!
