Carolina Panthers will have trouble building roster for 2024
Panthero replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pretty obvious we need to blow this thing up completely. Fire sale and start over, no "keep muh building blocks". You're broke, you're out of options, ugly, and drunk.....go home. I trade everyone. Moton and Brown included if the price is right. -
If he'd take 21 then bring it. But if he wants Bosa money, GTFO. You can't begin rebuild with misallocating MORE resources. 8-10 mil is the difference in another fantastic player. Overpays handcuff you and send a signal to other FAs that Carolina is a money mark organization. We'll get guys th are looking for a bag and then lay up like bums and produce nothing. Jacksonville had that rep for years.

This is where I don't understand cap space. If we wait the savings appear much larger. Is the roster bonus money that big of a deal just because of the timing (prior to the big FA rush)?

Good to know we aren't the only team that gets booty blasted signing guys that are washed worse than stonewashed jeans. I'll never forgive the Khalils for their collusion to defraud my beloved panthers. Why will Khalil be better at LT in Carolina? Cause his brother is here. Oh, well in that case here's 50 million fuging dollars!!!

Misogyny? Like what? Milf jokes? I only come around during combine and draft time, i guess I missed these.

Rizzuti & USA Today on prospects we've talked with

To me that screams taking a WR at 33. They want a tackle to work behind Icky in case he fails, maybe? Or as a quality depth piece. -

Why do you have to be hurtful, fam? -
Here come the Redskins (*nothing piece MSN article)

How about the Pigskins? Seems a fun way to still pay homage to the old name without being offensive. -
Officially Entering My Vote for WR Keon Coleman

Nothing wrong with an X like Coleman.....but he's not a 33rd pick. Maybe the next pick. -
Man those are outliers. More likely we aren't in the playoffs until 26.
-
Thought he had done decent until he moved to RT but that's just second hand info.

What do you guys think of Jonah Williams? Spotrac says 11-12 mil per.
-
Cam won my Tigers a NC, he can dress how he wants and if he feels the license to thrash some young punks, I'll grab the popcorn.
-
astute point. i was also thinking about this from another angle the other day. Seems like the "market" of moving around will allow for positions of scarcity (re: QB) to add a bit of supply. the logic being, you dont sit for 2 years behind an all-american anymore. you go play at another school so scouts get more film and more guys (that are quality) get more reps and make themselves higher caliber players before they enter the league.

Yeah. I'll just go fvck myself then. Lol.

Man if dj johnson could catch fire, that would soothe my soul.

My thought exactly. He wants to prove he's a LT, we also want someone to prove they are a LT. I see this as an absolute win. Think he'll cost 10-12 mil per. If he's an average league LT starter that's worth it, imo.
-
Him and Graham Barton are the two I really like since they have so much versatility. If you draft both then you have all your backups and next years (25) starters covered if you move on from Corbett and Bozeman.
-
for sure. didnt the guy from new york take several years? Andrew Thomas. I'm not sure its time to move him inside. i want to see one more year personally, but have a plan in place if he's truly not cut out for the position. that way we'd get a year at guard (his fourth year) in order to decide if we want to pick up a fifth year.

i never paid much attention but i remember hearing pff podcast talk about Icky getting a lot of TE shade help his first year.

Tim Donnelly on Trent Brown, Evans, Burns & Motown
Panthero replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's got lots of worth, but his price tag doesn't work for where we are as a program, particularly if hes set on 30 mil if he stays here. Need too much help at too many spots, imo. -
One silver lining, our biggest needs match well with the abundant positions in the draft. WR, DT is deep, and OT. Not sure on iOL.
