  1. Heres why it wont happen. Too much bad perception. If atlanta did it and the guy worked out, that GM is fired even if their picks work out great. Vice versa for us. If we give atl draft capital and then strike out the the gm is gone.
  2. Remind me in the next life to "butter" Rivera's "bread"
  3. agree Fox and YGM at 3-4 END seems like trouble against the run. i do like the outside LB thing we have going on though.
  4. would you still go CB in the third also? could make a good argument for the need.
  5. i'd rather go CB in free agency (so we could get a high quality G or TE), but i agree with this. Positional value and need for us match up perfectly.
  6. Another CB, a S and a backup NT and we are in pretty good shape. Need to get all these guys in free agency and go total offense in the draft. Offense? LT, LG, RG and RB/WR- that kid from Memphis fits perfect. takes on the Samuel role and can fill in for CMC if he gets dinged up. Also need a starting TE, oh and a franchise QB.
  7. How does hanging with your brother make you play better ball? Was he depressed or some poo? Does the older Kalil have magical powers? Lol. Maybe it could be a motivator, your older brother showing you up but only if you dont like being straight trash. We know Kalil gave Oscar the grouch a run for his money.
  8. My favorite on Kalil was that he would be better here cause he could play with his brother. I knew we were fuged when that was the thinking among fans, writers, and gettleman.
  9. I think they are not the answer. But those prices are reasonable. Hopefully we address OT and OG in the draft and these guys are vet backups.
  10. One of the best posts ive seen on here and why its so important to build from within and have an accountable culture. You poo around, youre gone. You do well and you get rewarded. No favorites, no crying ass vets wanting another contract (yall know the ones).
  11. Just a feeling i have with so many thirsty teams.
  12. I think one way of the other, 4 qbs go in the first four picks.
  13. i unpoo-ed the post so that Varking doesn't think i'm taking a shot at him. However, if this is true, i'm lol-ing at how dumb this move is on the part of the front office. Prayers sent to whoever is playing qb next year.
  14. That makes sense. Maybe im overplaying the scarcity issue for CB. First rounders will go first round because the position has such value. Not a lot slipping talent slipping, like if it were TE.
  15. I can agree with that. I just mean generally. Going cb in the first or second would be foolish. 3rd or 4th though could be good value.
  16. In terms of free agency and draft what is the bigger need according to you all? A starter level outside guy or a slot guy? Just curious what the board thinks gives us the best combo. It seems like size wise both Pride and Jackson could slide to slot given their physical attributes and we should go with a corner in the draft that matches up well with bigger WRs but there are a lot of good slot guys in the draft I guess we could still sign a slot guy who is larger to deal with TEs too.
  17. Mond absolutely sucks. Watched him do nothing for four years. Last year Jimbo took the game out of his hands and just ran the hell out of the ball and had his best season since he got there.
  18. If we draft any position in the first two (maybe even three) rounds that are not QB, WR, LT, DE, or CB then this teams management is still not getting it. Those are the highest paid positions and the most impactful. Grabbing for them in free agency gets you overpriced, underperforming players. LB, TE, RB, S, OG, C, and DT are all able to be had in later rounds and free agency. Look how many damn guards are available right now.
  19. Im not sold on Lance but i think its obvious we select him at 8 if we dont move up. Warts and all, hes going to be a hot commodity. An outside chance we trade the pick to someone else if we dont think hes the guy. Also its quite possible we, or another team, move up to take him at 5. I think Rhule probably doesnt want to do that, but i get the feeling Tepper wants to make a statement for a qb.
  20. Id be much more afraid of drafting fields or lance under the prior regime. Between Rhule and Brady, i have confidence in their ability to really develop guys to their potential. Also seem more likely to fit their playbook around what guys do best.
  21. Brown would be great but too much value in the draft. If we pay Moton, we cant afford to pay a franchise left tackle too. Thats too much cap tied to two positions on the same group. The way you do it is have one guy in his prime and either an okung type or a first contract guy.
  22. Id be thrilled if we could get the OSU middle LB in the third. Werner. Dude is a hoss.
