Insert Richie Grant
-
Did I say he was a problem? No. I said signing the other two is better bang for ur buck especially if u can get a 1st rounder out of it. Again, who the hell watches Panther games thinking DJ is an absolute force out there??
-
I’m all for this. Yea DJ has nice stats and is young...but how many non biased fans do u think have ever watched a Panthers game and thought “damn, they need to feed DJ! He’s a monster!”....I’m willing to bet not many...and yet he’s gunna ask for that kinda money. Would LOVE to cash in now for a 1st rounder like the Colts so that we can pay Samuel and be able to give Anderson an extension to lower his current cap hit. This would be so much better bang for our buck.

One of the Core Pieces that should be untouchable

I saw the title of this thread and new it’d be this tweet...couldn’t agree more!! -
That’s a bit much, don’t u think? Building our offense around a RT??

I’m perfectly fine drafting Richie Grant at #39...I’m not saying he’s the best prospect in the draft, but after Sewell, he’s my favorite. Also definitely like Creed Humphrey and Quinn Meinerz. If we somehow traded down in the first to acquire another 2nd, I’d be thrilled walking away with Jaycee Horn, Grant and Humphrey

I will kill u where u stand!

Could we just be marking him a post June 1st cut and saving $10.9mill?
-
This could be absolutely nothing and just the wrong choice of words to be using. But he says he was being let go cuz of a “rebuild”...now we all know we were super close to trading for Stafford which is the opposite of a rebuild. And a ton of people are still holding on to the hope we get Watson. But “rebuild” isn’t the term I’d equate to going after Watson. Falls more in line with drafting. I also realize management doesn’t have to tell Tre their plans on whether they are rebuilding or if they are simply retooling. Just found that reasoning interesting and wanted to get ur thoughts.

I think Robby Anderson would get physically sick if we said “SURPRISE”
-
Can’t imagine why the Bears would want to offer that at all...Justin Leopold also doesn’t seem like somebody in the know...19 followers haha

Couldn’t disagree more...Stafford is good...Wentz is ass

Well damn...glad we didn’t give up that much...holy hell...wonder how much of that was to offset Goff’s garbage deal

Panthers confirmed to be in Stafford discussion
Reebis21 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why do people keep talking as if Stafford has Watson leverage?? He doesn’t...he doesn’t wanna be part of a rebuild and the Lions know they gotta move him so they can truly rebuild...so it’s not like he demanded a trade and put the Lions in a tough spot...he’s not able to hand pick his destination -
The Lone Ranger: What to do with Matt Paradis?

Draft Creed Humphrey or Quinn Meinerz, play them at OG for a yr and let me slide into that Center role next year -
I’m not trying to knock Mac Jones...honest question here...what traits/skills does he have that stand out from the pack?

I know a team can cut somebody before June 1st but still label them a post June 1st cut. Can they do something like that when it comes to trades? I know dead money changes quite a bit if someone is traded post June 1st vs Pre June 1st. Anybody able to clarify that?

Speaking of Dan Morgan and Fitterer...

What makes me excited about any of this is the fact that our franchise finally has enough years under our belt where we can get franchise guys to come back full circle to work for the team...sort of like people who grew up a Panther fan when they were kids, have little kids now themselves. Cool to finally see our franchise evolve into one with history. Not sure if I articulated that well enough but hopefully u get my point. -
Our old buddy Josh McCown has a job opportunity...
Reebis21 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
The question here isn’t whether he can be a good head coach...the question is why in the hell r u interviewing a guy with no real experience while you’re trying to convince your franchise QB on staying?? Unless they are looking for a coach knowing Watson is already gunna be shipped out.
