Last I heard he was some kind of consultant for the XFL 2.0 before it folded.

The Panthers have first round grades on 3 QBs.
Jay Roosevelt replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
@Zod What if they can't find a trade partner? Do they reach for a QB or just take one of the LTs? -
-
The plan is Kenny Pickett.
-
So we're drafting Kenny Pickett? Ok.
-
Cross is my #1 OT this year. When you're looking for a franchise LT the most important thing is pass protection and Cross is by far the best pass protector in this class.

Who? I can't imagine they'd be willing to give away a starter just to pick up $18M in cap space when we already have the most in the league. Maybe someone like Troy Pride? Daviyon Nixon? MAYBE Terrace Marshall Jr, but even that would be pretty steep. What the hell do we need all this cap space for?

Howell lol

At this point I'm fine with Pickett OR Willis, but I'd prefer to take a LT and get a QB next year.
-
One thing I'll say about Willis... from what I've seen/heard/read it seems like the coaching he received at Liberty was terrible. From the scheme itself to the lack of focus on fundamentals to the way they relied so much on his raw athleticism to carry them. You get the sense that had he been on a team like Oklahoma or Alabama he'd be a much more complete player and a lot of these questions everyone has would be answered by now. I actually trust Ben McAdoo to make the call if we go QB. I'm just not sure Rhule will be able to resist not ignoring his advice and making the decision himself.

I agree, but you also have a hell of an easier time winning a championship if you have a top QB.
-
I'd prefer we sign Cam, draft a LT at #6 and target one of the QBs next year. But if we're going QB, I'd prefer Willis to Pickett simply due to the upside. If you're going QB in the top-10, you need to bet on traits and upside in this day and age.

I, for one, welcome our new tiny-handed overlord.
-
Falcons targeting Malik Willis with Mariota as the bridge QB.
-
I mean, has any QB really had a "bad" pro day?
-
Wow, that's insane value.
-
For LT? Not sure that'd have been a good idea. He's more of a RT/OG.
-
Post-FA draft assuming we're targeting Kenny Pickett. Here, I traded down to #15 with the Eagles and still got him while picking up 2nd and 3rd round picks.
-
Would be a short-term option only. Screams QB @ #6 if we sign him.

For reference, here's a general idea of what the PFF grading scale looks like: 90.0+: Elite 80.0-89.9: High Quality 70.0-79.9: Above Average 60.0-69.9: Average 50.0-59.9: Below Average 49.9 & Below: Poor

They're solid signings for the most part. I'm not sure about Damien Wilson as anything more than depth, but aside from that and paying Jackson over Gilmore I can't really argue with any of the moves we've made so far.
