Way too many conspiracy theories on here about Nicole Tepper. I seriously doubt she has as much influence as people seem to think. In other words, David Tepper doesn't need any help to be a terrible owner. If we are keeping Scott Fitterer it's because he's Dave's rubber stamp/proxy, not Nicole's.

Coaching Matters... Shane Steichan....
Jay Roosevelt replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Steichen was my #1 choice last time around. Reich wasn't even on my list. -
We'll see. We really have no choice but to wait and see. Hopefully we can actually manage to hire a decent HC who runs an actual modern NFL offense and hopefully that works out. If not, it's back to the draft board in 2025.

No. Never.

Comments about first game post-Reich?
Jay Roosevelt replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
I actually didn't think Bryce looked bad under center. No worse than shotgun anyway and the run game looked more effective. -

It was a little better, but we're nowhere close to being where we need to be. -
I'd hire him in a second as GM, but head coach? Nah.

Possible GMs IF Scott is Fired.
Jay Roosevelt replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
My top candidates: 1. Will McClay (Cowboys V.P. of Player Personnel) 2. Jon Ferrari (Eagles Asst. GM) 3. Adam Peters (49ers Asst. GM) 4. Trey Brown (Bengals Sr. Personnel Exec) -
Breer mailbag, Tepper similar to Kraft and York early years
Jay Roosevelt replied to Martin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I certainly hope this is the case. Only time will tell. -
Never a good idea to anoint a QB as "the guy" this far in advance. Much can change between now and 2025. Hopefully Bryce comes around with a new staff and we don't have to worry about it, but if not it's entirely possible there will be one or more QBs available in 2025 that nobody is even talking about now.

Zavala to IR, will miss rest of the season
Jay Roosevelt replied to Prowler2k18's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ever hear the phrase "like trying to piss up your back?" I'm afraid that's where Zavala might be in the NFL. -
Zavala to IR, will miss rest of the season
Jay Roosevelt replied to Prowler2k18's topic in Carolina Panthers
No, Amini looked like an All-Pro next to Zavala. I've never seen an OL as consistently bad as he has been. Not even Nate Chandler, Michael Jordan, and Dennis Daley were this bad. -
BREAKING!!: Panthers will go after Ben Johnson
Jay Roosevelt replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
LBJ just looks like an old school college coach. -

This. -
I've been saying this for months. Look at the Saints when Brees was at his peak; they routinely had the best or one of the best interior OLs in the league. Jahri Evans, Carl Nicks, Ben Grubbs, Max Unger... they clearly made the interior OL a priority because they knew how important that was for a shorter QB.

“Keep a close eye on Belichik to Carolina”
Jay Roosevelt replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
HELL no. No more old ass men. We need a young HC who can bring some energy to this franchise. -
Everyone in the building is all in on Bryce
Jay Roosevelt replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
There's nothing wrong with this. Despite his performance so far everyone SHOULD be all-in on Bryce because we're not in a position to draft anyone else until 2025. -
Lombardi on Reich, Tepper and the Panthers job
Jay Roosevelt replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pretty much, yeah. -
Lombardi on Reich, Tepper and the Panthers job
Jay Roosevelt replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's not wrong here, but Mike Lombardi is a joke in general. He's a Josh McDaniels/Patriots media plant. -
SBNation ranks potential HC candidates
Jay Roosevelt replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
True. -
Honestly this probably happens a lot more often in the NFL than you might think. These billionaire egos literally think they know it all, no matter what the subject is.
