  1. And we probably have the best defensive coach in the division still.
  2. Wow, didn't see Morris to the Falcons. I guess the old GOAT is seeing his career put down like Ole' Yeller.
  3. Could not care less about this. Frank Reich had almost 40 years of experience as a player and coach and we saw how that turned out. Matt Rhule had 1 year as an assistant OL coach in the NFL and was just as bad. There are plenty of examples of coaches succeeding and failing with varying levels of experience. If Canales fails, it won't be because he only had 1 year as a coordinator.
  4. I was lukewarm when I first heard we were interviewing him, but the more I learned about him the higher on my list he went. Love his energy and the way he talks about offensive football. You can tell he's a progressive offensive mind in terms of scheme but is also flexible enough to mold his scheme to the players he has. This is the type of hire we should have made back in 2020 instead of gambling on Matt Rhule and it's the type of hire we damn sure should have made last year instead of old man Reich.
  5. Slowick was my first choice but the more I learned about Canales the more I liked him as a candidate. He will bring a new energy to the team, I think. Hopefully he can get this poo show turned around.
  6. I can get excited about Canales, Johnson, or Slowick.
  7. What a useless statement. Might as well just say "Panthers might hire a coach!"
  8. At this point I'd be happy with Ben Johnson, Bobby Slowick or Dave Canales of the offensive candidates. Of the defensive options I'd rather go with Evero than anyone but I wouldn't mind Mike McDonald either. Not a fan of Raheem Morris or any other retreads.
  9. One thing I will say about Canales is that the more I learn about him the more I like him.
  10. Canales is probably a better candidate than a lot of people realize. I wasn't familiar with him before this season but he's got a solid resume and has worked wonders for Baker Mayfield. He also was Geno Smith's QB coach in Seattle when he revitalized his career so he certainly seems to know how to get the most out of his QBs, even if they've struggled prior to working with him. And let's not forget how Russell Wilson fell off a cliff as soon as he left Seattle. Did no longer having Canales as his QB coach play a role in that? Hard to say, but it's at least a possibility.
  11. Not liking the Raheem Morris talk. We just got burned hiring one retread, now we're considering another one?
  12. The league would never allow that to happen. The zebras would be working overtime to make sure they didn't sniff a Super Bowl.
  13. I don't care that Slowick was Stroud's O.C. I'm just a huge fan of his offense in general. Whether it's Bryce Young or whatever QB we draft in 2025 having a coach like Bobby Slowick that brings such a dynamic offense to the table will be a HUGE plus.
  14. Was it Raheem Morris or was that yesterday?
  15. Center should be looked at in free agency and if not then in the draft, yes.
  16. Personally I'm going with Sean McVay. Great offensive mind who brings energy to the team and has shown the ability to win with various levels of talent. He really impressed me with his coaching job this season. That Rams team had no business being as good as they were. I legitimately thought they'd be in the mix for a top-5 pick.
  17. Title speaks for itself. If the Panthers could have any head coach in the NFL (available or otherwise) who would be your choice? Keep in mind everything else stays the same. Same roster, salary cap situation, ownership, draft picks, etc. Who you taking?
