How much of his contract are we on the hook for?

What does the trade value chart say? Do those picks equal the value of a late 1st rounder? Also, any word on his contract? How much are we still paying?

See, I'm not sure the talent gap is all that close. Or the film gap either. I think Young is significantly ahead of Stroud as a passer as it relates to the pro game. Levis is a good ways behind both, but has by far the most physical skill.

See, I thought the same thing last year but Alabama this year is not as stacked at WR and OL as they have been in the past. Mac Jones had arguably the best WR corp of all time in college to throw to; Bryce Young had a very good group last year as well, but this year's WR corp for Alabama isn't even all that good and their OL has struggled as well. Make no mistake, Bryce Young is carrying that team right now. I do have concerns about his size, but I also feel like he is significantly better as a passer than the other options. That's not to say that Stroud or Levis can't catch up with enough development, but that's no guarantee. In the end I'm not sure Young's size is a big enough issue that we should pass on his... everything else. Because everything else is really, really good.

Young is pretty clearly the most NFL-ready QB in this draft. If he were a few inches taller and a few pounds heavier I think he'd be the slam-dunk #1 pick. Which begs the question: just how important are those few inches and pounds? Enough to bypass Young in favor of a Will Levis or C.J. Stroud? I'm starting to think the answer may be no.

Gotta be honest; run blocking is obviously a plus with your LT but pass protection is where they really need to earn their salary. If Ickey develops into a good pass blocker who is below average in run blocking I'm totally fine with that. That said, I think it's highly unlikely that he doesn't become at least above average in both areas, if not top-tier. We're seeing the typical ups and downs of a rookie LT; what's important is that there is improvement from now until the end of the season. While it's been uneven at times, we have certainly seen Ickey improve since the preseason/week 1. I'm more excited about him than any other player on our roster right now.

I honestly don't get the hype around Ben Johnson. The Lions offense was shutout once this year already and while fairly productive before that I don't think it's a good enough offense to give this guy a HC job based on.

Did they take on his whole contract? If so... wow.

Well it didn't seem to matter much with the Chargers and certainly hasn't with the Eagles so far. Both offenses we're among the most productive in the league. And I still don't think Jalen Hurts is a true top-tier QB in terms of talent. I think it's similar to Jared Goff under Sean McVey; decent QB coached up to look much better. You pair an offensive mind like Steichen with a true top QB prospect like Stroud, Young, or even Levis and we could really see something special.

Shane Steichen gonna get paid.

I mean, if you're the Bills and will be picking late (if not last) in the 1st round the next few years and think CMC can put you over the top that's still got to be something you consider.

Or they'll all get 1-2 year deals worth $6M/year.

Burns is really good, but probably overrated by the fan base. If we can get a big haul to move him I say do it. I just don't think he's worth the massive contract it'll take to keep him. You're talking about a guy who has never had double-digit sacks and is a big liability against the run. Unless we plan to switch to a 3-4 I'd just assume move on and take what we can get.

Dan Quinn is about the only retread I'd be interested in other than Brian Flores, but I'd prefer an offensive minded coach to any DC. My favorite is Shane Steichen, but I'd settle for Ken Dorsey or Eric Bieniemy. I just like Steichen's history developing young QBs and making the most out of the talent he has. Those are two things this franchise has never really had.

OSU QBs scare me. I'd much rather take a shot at Young or Levis. I feel like Levis is the high risk/reward pick, but Young is the safer option. The only knock on Young is his size. If he were 3" taller and 15 lbs heavier he'd be the #1 pick hands down. Which begs the question: just how important are those 3" and 15 lbs?

I don't know that any coach can win with these QB options.

Get that late 1st rounder and run.

As a coach I'd have no problem with Payton, especially if we're in position to draft his hand-picked QB. That said HELL NO to giving a division rival any compensation for a head coach.

Same story as Joe Brady; clearly Rhule is the one constant. This offense has regressed every year he's been here regardless of who has played QB.

Chinn seems to find his way onto the bottom 5 list every week. Either he's vastly overrated by fans or this staff is using him terribly. Or both. Our WRs are garbage outside of D.J. Moore. TEs may be worse.

Ordering my Will Levis Panthers jersey, hopefully.
