Breaking, Ian Rapoport: Fitterer Fired
Jay Roosevelt replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
The talent exodus under him without anything even remotely comparable being brought in has to make him one of the worst GMs of the 21st century at least. -
With our OL the answer might literally be yes.

Dear lord. That's hard to fathom

Nobody here hates Tepper because he's rich. Being as rich as he is should be an asset as an NFL owner. This franchise has been a disaster ever since he took over. One bad decision after another. There really is no defending it. That said, we are unfortunately stuck with him so we can only hope he does what Jed York and Stephen Ross have done and eventually stumbles onto a good HC/GM combo that can bring us some success, and maybe learn from his mistakes in the process. We'll see...

Panthers have zero Pro Bowlers, four alternates
Jay Roosevelt replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Realistically Brown is the only player that really deserves a Pro Bowl nod. -
“Keep a close eye on Belichik to Carolina”
Jay Roosevelt replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is pretty much the nightmare scenario, IMO. -
Tepper isn't going anywhere, unfortunately.

The OL has to be priority #1, hands down.

Longer view of the tossing episode

Be careful what you wish for. It's far more likely that the league takes away a draft pick from the team than forcing him to sell. -

Why the Panthers Should NOT want Ben Johnson
Jay Roosevelt replied to Mills's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sometimes I think the whole "leader of men" thing is B.S. I mean, just look at Mike McDaniel in Miami. You're telling me he's a leader of men? No. But he's an offensive genius who has his team playing as well as anyone in the league. How about Kyle Shanahan? Does he really strike anyone as a leader of men? That's one of the reasons Matt Rhule was supposed to be such a great coach. He ended up being a glorified gym teacher. I'm not saying that approach can't work with the right guy, but it's by no means a requirement in today's NFL. -
It's almost like the farther removed from Frank Reich's offense he gets the better he is...

The fact that Reich and McCown weren't all over him to improve his footwork is insane to me. How can two supposed "QB gurus" not bother with something so obvious?

Bobby Slowik- Meet the Candidate- Part 4 of 12
Jay Roosevelt replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
The more I learn about him the more I'm starting to think he's the guy. This might just be a Mike McDaniel situation. -
Dan Quinn- Meet the Candidate- Part 5 of 12

No. -
Imagine that; 4 of the top 5 players are OL and WRs and Bryce has his highest grade of the year.

The Unofficial GM/HC candidate list
Jay Roosevelt replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
I swear if the Steelers fire Mike Tomlin Tepper better be at his front door with a giant blank check before the ink dries on his termination papers. -
Considering the injuries and offensive issues we've had I think the defense has been outstanding.
