  1. When we ran out of the abrasive cleanser (like Comet I think) we used to clean the aluminum mast housings inside the sail of my old sub, we switched to the powder the cooks used to make the bug juice (koolaid) and it worked pretty much the same.

  6. Personally, the 1999 game in Green Bay was my favorite, since my best friend and I went on an epic road trip up to Green Bay, got tickets from my friends wifes cousin who was married to one of their O lineman in the players wives section, and saw an epic battle between Beurlein and Farve with that famous QB draw to win it at the end. I was going through some big issues, so the last minute invite for this road trip was really welcome as a distraction, and when Steve crossed that goal line I knew everything was going to be all right. Other than that there have been some great victories and terrible losses, but I do think that 2013 comeback, last second win at home against the Saints was pretty special. 2008 against Tampa was a fantastic game as well, and it was what eventually gave us Chucky as our MNF announcer.
  7. 1. Build a secret underground torture chamber. 2. Put her in it. Better if you don't tell her why if she doesn't recognize you. 3. Make her rub the contents of snak paks you toss down to her over her skin until it's silky smooth.
  8. I thought Black Widow was the best part of the movie really.
  9. We only use charcoal as my wife is a real steak cooking snob. I'd like to have a gas grill for speed but she's not into it.
  10. Congratulations and get a place you can walk to work from, or a really comfy car to spend your life in.
  11. WWII sims ended when programmers were able to shoehorn all the glitzy technical stuff into the GUI to keep the twichy eyes and fingers moving at all times unfortunately. I still would rather start up another Call of Duty session throwing potatoes at scarecrows dressed up as Nazis before getting tossed into Stalingrad than have all the computer aided screens and stuff all over..
  12. The most totally bro guy in the history of bro guys was at the convienience store this morning, he was like, wearing a super moisture wicking black golf shirt and well ironed and pleated khaki shorts and made sure to tell everyone he was going to the Masters down in Atlanta today brah so yeah had to charge up with the energy drinks TIME TO HIT THE ROAD WITH MY BROS I kinda wished one of the rednecks in line would have started a fight with him
  13. im selling my old house and it sucks, I hate the entire process and cannot wait to be done with it.
  14. Japanese TV came to our tailgate while doing a piece on Nakamura it was a lot of fun, they marveled at a place where the men did all the cooking
  15. Even though we might lose a home game I would like to see the Panthers play in the UK once. What a great experience that would be.
  16. I enjoyed it as well, but I loved the set designs and the creepiness, and tolerated the story.
  17. I was at Buffalo and at this game as well! This catch was insanely great but really that Newton to Ginn throw was one of the most perfect combinations of grace under pressure, timing and athleticism I've ever seen a Panthers offense pull off.
  18. She looked pretty spry on the SNL show Sunday night. I got to show ALIEN to my wife a number of weeks back, she had thought she had seen it but it turns out she saw the first sequel. She's a big horror fan and ended up loving it. I was reminded about how the effects work was actually the pinnacle (along with Flash Gordon the next year) of the British special effects efforts. The design, construction and filming of the refinery, the Nostromo, and the Narcussius were direct descendants of the old Gerry Anderson TV shows and the Bond movies and were brilliant - they hold up really well even today. Aliens was a far more exciting movie, and the mechanical effects like costuming and sets were far superior but the special effects were not nearly as good (albeit they had a LOT more to show). But Sigourney Weaver was excellent in both of them. Her character was world weary but optimistic which made her a great character for all the other people to interact with and play off of. She made Paul Reiser look like a real actor a few times even...
