I personally, was not a fan of Chuba last year. His balance was crap, he fell all the time, and his hands were stone. Yes the line sucked, but he also did himself no favors. I understand why we went out and got Foreman. He is definitely the goal-line back, but he also showed he is capable of being a team's RB2 when Henry went down. I firmly believe that Foreman becomes the team's true RB2 next season and Chuba ends up RB3.

I've been doing a deep dive into Corral all weekend reviewing scouting reports and film studies on him. The potential is there. His quick release and arm strength are definitely NFL caliber, and he is fearless standing in the pocket. However the more I see the more I notice his lack of consistency throwing mid/deep. He is definitely best suited for a WC/horizontal style offense built around quick reads and getting the ball into playmaker's hands quickly. He does not see the whole field well and comes off receivers too early too often. A lot of the time If they aren't open when he sees them, he will look off them even if they are about to clear a zone/can be thrown open if he throws to a spot. That is concerning, but can he learn to make those reads and how quickly can he do it? How much of that was Kiffin's scheme where he was throwing to a guy no matter what? Overall, he was drafted about where he should have been. I'm less high on him as I was on Friday, and don't anticipate him beating Sam out in TC. He's a work in progress definitely. Hoping for the best but prepared to have a backup QB for the next 4 years.

The flaw in the following thinking
Ricky Spanish replied to Centerfield's topic in Carolina Panthers
Right? And like Aaron Rodgers did as a rookie. And like Carson Palmer did as a rookie. And like Tony Romo Did as a Rookie. And like Tom Brady Did as a Rookie. And like Kirk Cousins did as a Rookie. And like Drew Brees did as a Rookie. -
I mean obviously, Carson strong to take PJs place. I feel horrible for the kid. Even if you weren't sold on him you can't deny that he had the talent to at least be drafted. That knee must be completely shot.

If we draft a QB, I want Carson Strong

Dudes knee must be completely shredded. Sucks for him. -
I was joking because I don't think I've ever seen this many receivers taken at this point in the draft before. 17/105 picks have been WRs so far. Insane.

Well it's not going to be WR, I can tell you that. I think they ran out.

Everyone upset about this one, let's put it into perspective: He's a 3rd round QB with potential. Worst case scenario - he's our backup. Best case scenario, we have our own Russell Wilson.

Round 2-3 predictions. Do the Panthers get a pick,?
Ricky Spanish replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Browns trade us their 2nd along with Baker Mayfield and we assume his contract. We then trade down to acquire more picks in the 2nd and 3rd. Then we draft a QB. -

Later Round QBs. Is there anyone worth a look in the Draft?
Ricky Spanish replied to Michael G's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd be happy with either Strong or Zappe. If Zappe had Strong's arm or Strong had Zappe's knees both would be in the conversation as 1st rounders. -
Can we not get a pick from green bay for robby?
Ricky Spanish replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah but what are they going to do at WR for the other 14 games in the season?
