Guys, he's really, really not good. Our depth Safeties are better than him. He also has a reputation of torpedoing his body with reckless abandon and injuring teammates because he has no control. So unless you want to see him dive at Chinn's or Horn's knees trying to make a tackle and knocking them out for the rest of the season, you don't want him.

@Mr. Scot check this out
Ricky Spanish replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's fun to look back and see opinions of old: Not bad in hindsight. I agree that McDermott might not have been ready at that point, still he has proven to be a hell of a HC. -

Happy to see more jumping on the bandwagon with me. The Leftwich crowd is awfully quiet these days... -
Falcons are in the best shape at the moment. Arthur Smith is showing his worth as a HC and if given a franchise QB, they could run the division for the next decade plus. IF we get a good HC and franchise QB this upcoming draft, we're in a better position to take the Division Reigns moving forward. Bucs will be a dumpster fire without Brady and the Saints are going to go back to being the aints due to their cap issues and lack of coach.

We could be getting sprung for young. Really depends on where we land in the tankathon.

Pasqualoni was my least favorite offseason hire. Dude's resume was below average at best.

I see we are approaching "Mel Kiper is an idiot season". As someone who absolutely loves the draft, I don't hate Mel. Mel helped make the NFL draft the spectacle it is. He's no more wrong or right than any other draft pundit out there. He was just the first. What he says is not gospel and is just his opinion. I will take in what he says and compare his notes and opinions to other draft guys to better shape my own opinion of prospects. It's ok to either agree or disagree with him. Doesn't mean you or him are stupid if the player ends up good or bad, just that you, like many, many GMs, are often wrong in the crapshoot that is the NFL draft.

Objectively speaking, we came out pretty good with the assets we gained from trading him. It just hurt more than other trades because CMC was like the lone bright spot on the team this year, and he was an elite talent at his position. It's always hard to let those guys go.

Rams Offering Two (Future) Firsts for Burns

we need a franchise QB NOW. a first round pick two years from now does not help us immediately. -
Let's talk about Donte Jackson and his Fragility

That happens A LOT. -
My biggest worry is that he is competent enough to be retained, we blow our chances at a franchise QB in the draft and we get Rivera 2.0 as a HC with no back to back winning seasons and years of musical chairs in the QB room until he's fired.

Exactly. He generally comes back and plays the next week, but he gets hurt and leaves a ton of games early. -
For the second week in a row, D-Jax did not finish the game due to getting nicked up on some innocuous play. This is not just a two week occurrence, I cannot remember another player that gets consistently injured and taken out of games more often than Jackson. It happened earlier this year against the Giants, and it has happened numerous throughout his career. https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/donte-jackson-player-injuries The above link shows some of the injuries he has sustained over the course of his career. It's not a short list.

No. Akers blew his Achilles out and RBs with in tact Achilles are a dime a dozen.

Please explain what the benefits are of Tepper moving the team? He would potentially also have to move his soccer team as well, if he didn't the fanbase would riot and never attend home games in protest. Any other Cities that are close to Charlotte in terms of Market size also have to compete with fanbases of other teams in those areas (San Antonio, Orlando, etc.) It would cost a poo ton of money. How and why would it make sense to move the panthers when the Jags exist?

Happy for CMC. He deserves better. Sad for us. We fans don't deserve this. We have nothing to cheer for on Sundays now other than to lose so we get the first pick. Happy for my Dynasty fantasy leagues where CMC now goes to one of the best offensive minds in football.
-
Would have rather seen Moore leave honestly. CMC is better. Hell, he's a better receiver and he plays RB.
-
Whelp... They don't have first round picks so this will be fuging bullshit. Edit: Not a bad haul. Still sucks.
-
For real though, how many games has Jackson left early in? I swear to god it seems like half of them. Dude gets dinged up more than anyone I can ever remember. He'll come back a week or two later, play a game, then leave the next one early again. It happens multiple times every year.

Ignoring the fact that Young looks like a child among men on the field, he plays the position of QB really well and it looks so fluid the way he does it. Quick release, strong arm, reads the entire field, decisive, great pocket awareness. His game is top 3 pick worthy, his size is UDFA worthy. I like the way he plays QB and if the powers that be chose him I would not be upset.
