  1. First off, I'd be perfectly fine with Hardman as an alternative cheaper version of Chark. But no, he would not become our #1 receiver. Geriatric Thielen is still a better receiver than Hardman has ever been.
  2. Trading the below freezing temperatures for the 95 and humid training camps at Spartanburg. It's honestly a lateral move.
  3. He is not seeing year 3 and he's not seeing all $25 million. Year 3 is most likely a year where we can dump him with limited cap hit. He is guaranteed 14 million, he will probably get ~16-18 million when all is said and done. This is not a bad contract for a #2 WR at all. Especially when we gave Robb(y/ie) Anderson 12 Million per year to do jack poo but drop passes and throw fits the past two seasons. This is perfectly fine and won't screw us in the long term.
  4. I can Thiel it. Comin' in the air tonight.
  5. I think he's had 5 since he's been in the pros. Not great. Why would he want to go to Dallas then?
  6. How Frail is he? Will he bend in half if Myles Garret Sacks him? I don't care about his height at all, it's his thiccness, or the lack-thereof that concerns me and most others. He won't ALWAYS be able to diagnose pressure and sometimes guys get beat. Will he be able to handle taking the big hits he took in college but at the pro level?
  7. Young has better pocket awareness. He feels pressure much better than Stroud. Because of that, he is Much better under pressure than Stroud, Stroud is not good under pressure: https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2023-nfl-draft-profile-c-j-stroud-ohio-state Stroud had one game where he played well under pressure, and even then he left some meat on the bone against Georgia. I say this liking Stroud as a prospect because there is a ton to like - the mechanics you mentioned and his pinpoint accuracy are both amazing. He looks effortless throwing the ball. BUT I think Young is the better QB prospect with size taken out of the equation.
  8. CJ is taller and more solid. CJ has the better arm. Both are incredibly accurate. Young has better pocket presence and awareness. Young Has better improvisational skills. Young is much better under pressure. I think it comes down to do Young's innate abilities to sense and avoid pressure mean he will be able to avoid the big hits we are worried he would take? Like I've said before, I go back and forth on these two daily. I wish Young were two inches taller, then this wouldn't even be a discussion. That's why I lean towards young in general.
  9. Yes he can. He does it all the time. I made a thread with a video detailing how good he actually is at it.
  10. I keep hearing that CJ is exactly what Reich wants in a QB, but what adjustments would need to be made? Young is short but he can read the whole field and throw over the middle. He can extend plays and throw on the run. I don't see how he couldn't thrive in Reich, or anyone's, offense. Reich mentioned he wants a smart, quick processing QB that can play the position like a Point Guard. That's Bryce Young. But that's also CJ Stroud. I don't know if the decision is as cut and dry as everyone seems to be, and it looks like lines are being drawn in the sand about which QB everyone likes. I'm over here stuck in the middle liking them both for different reasons.
  11. I know a lot of people are concerned about Bryce's height in terms of throwing down the middle of the field, something small QBs tend to have issues with. Bryce isn't one of them. Of course it's not just the height with him, it's the frame. Not a lot of places to add some weight on there.
  12. That's the big Question and I honestly don't know and can't answer that. Glad I'm not making the decision. I can honestly say I'll be thrilled with either Young our Stroud for different reasons, regardless of who we pick.
  13. Odell is still perfectly fine - When he's healthy. Problem is, he can't stay healthy.
  14. This chart says that the heavier the QB, the more often they get injured. In fact, the heavier each position is, the higher injury risk becomes pretty much across the board. I dunno, I go back and forth on Young and his size day to day, week to week. His game is immaculate and if he were at least 6' this wouldn't even be a discussion. Dude is a smol guy though.
  15. I will never forgive OBJ for the 2015 Giants game. He can rot in obscurity for all I care.
  16. I'd gladly give up #39 for him. Throw in Gross-Matos if they want him. Doubt they'd make that trade though.
  17. I'm a big Fan of Chark's game, dude just hasn't been able to stay healthy. I wouldn't expect him to stay healthy for us either, but it would still provide more hope than we currently have. I still want him though.
  18. It really seems like Fitt is cleaning up Rhule's messes, starting last year when they traded away Anderson. Seeing all the competent moves we've been making to pick up talented players at decent prices this FA, it really seemed like Rhule was telling Fitt and co. "Get me this player no matter what. He's OOU/versatile/went to Temple" so we shelled out bad contracts to Elflein, Thomas, Anderson, etc. Really makes me wonder what we could have done with Fitt having control from the get go. Still not sold on his drafting thus far but Rhule could have been a very loud, very incompetent voice in the room swaying the team towards talented college players but meh NFL players.
