  1. I don't know what you're talking about. Regardless, hell yeah, congrats on the new youtube career
  2. Well this is an interesting lil' tidbit of hot goss in the replies:
  3. For real though, anyone that went after his wife and kids is a grade A piece of trash human being. He still sucked as a coach for us though and was properly ridiculed for the product he put out on the field.
  4. I didn't want him, personally, but I don't think he's as bad as people on here make him out to be. That coaching staff in general though, yes they are bad. If the saints suck it's because they're getting old and the coaches suck, not because of Carr.
  5. I thought I wrote this out in another post but I guess I didn't hit submit. Here's where I see our Receivers coming out: TMJ, Chark, Thielen - 12 Total TDs and an Avg of 700 between the three. Don't know who gets the most or what the ratio is, but 2100 yards between those 3 is the optimistic take from me. Hurst - 500 yards with 4 TDs. Potentially more TDs and fewer yards because I think he'll be a legit RZ threat. Mingo - 400 yards, 2 TDs Shenault - 200-300 yards, 1 TD Sanders - 300-400 receiving yards. 3 Receiving TDs. All other Receivers/TEs/RBs combined - roughly 250 yards, 3 TDs If that's the case, that gives Bryce roughly 3,750 Yards and 25 TDs which is a fantastic rookie year. Not sure if it will be that good, but I think it's possible, especially with the coaching staff we have now. Probably an optimistic take, can definitely see the top 3 Receivers not getting as much receiving yards total as I initially thought, but it's still possible.
  6. Yep, this is pretty much where I see his role this year. I don't expect a ton of yards but I expect a ton of important yards, 3rd downs, red zone catches, red zone TDs. The dude can still run great routes and he has hands like glue. His skillset is ideal for a big slot role, especially in this offense. Wouldn't be surprised if he has a Greg Olsen like impact - Not necessarily the yardage, but he's the safety blanket and go to guy who you can depend on to make a catch to move the sticks when you need it.
  7. Justin Tucker is not on the list. I'd rather have him than half the guys listed. BTW it's Burns and Brown for those wondering.
  8. I thought it was cool that they had actual evidence of them discussing and viewing tape of every one of our draft picks. There wasn't a "Draft a long snapper for the memes" pick like with Rhule. How dare he try and push out one of the GOATs of Long Snapping.
  9. Let's look at the receivers and cast in terms of GPA. A - Great =4pts B - Above Average =3pts C - Average =2pts D - Below Average =1pt F - Failure =0pts Here's what our Supporting cast looked like at the Beginning of last year, and then the end of last year: Beginning: Baker = F CMC = A DJ Moore = B Robbie Anderson = F Shenault = D TMJ = INCOMPLETE (But by the end of the year he was a C so I'll just use that for his grades all the way through) Ian Thomas = D Tremble = D GPA - 1.5 (You get kicked out of school with this GPA) End of year significant contributors: Darnold = C (He played fine at the end of the year, don't feel like I'm being generous in this assessment) Foreman = C Hubbard = C Moore = B TMJ = C Thomas = D Tremble = D Shenault = D GPA - 1.75 (Academic Probation with this Grade) Let's look at what we have now with everything we've added, and assume that Bryce plays at an Average QB level: Young = C Sanders = B Hubbard = C Thielen = C Chark = C TMJ = C Shenault = D Hurst = C Mingo = INCOMPLETE GPA - 2.0 (C's Get Degrees) If Young and one average receiver play at a B level, the GPA jumps up to 2.25, slightly above average. On paper, we have improved to average and that includes being generous with last year's grades and conservative with this year's. I don't see how we don't win at least two more games with an Average supporting cast, putting us firmly in the playoff hunt for a WC spot at the least.
  10. I have said it in another thread, but I expect us to be this year's Jaguars and have a slow start out of the gate and then turn into a contender as the year goes on. There will be growing pains with the new staff and new personnel, that's inevitable. Also Reich has a history in Indy of starting seasons off slow for whatever reason, I have read Colts fans warn us about that. But the staff in general is too strong to be a bad team. The roster is better than our record was last year because we had a joke of a coaching staff set the foundation, and then once we brought in a grown-up with Wilks we started competing. That's with Darnold as our starter, McAdoo as our OC, Al Holcomb as our D-Coordinator, and a short-staffed coaching staff after Wilks fired everyone. Every Receiver we brought in is better than Robbie Anderson, even if they aren't better than Moore. It's a net positive of being solid with little drop-off between people on the depth chart. We brought in interior depth with Williams and Tuttle to help our run defense. We brought in secondary help with Bell. We have a DC that seems to know what to actually do with Jeremy Chinn. We took the #1 QB in college football in Bryce Young. There is no reason we shouldn't be contending for this division. Our only true net negative loss the entire offseason was getting rid of Moore. We got better in literally every other area of our team minus CB and Pass rusher where we remained stagnant But even then there's still the opportunity to fill those needs through roster cuts and available Vets who want to skip Camp. I am normally very reserved with my predictions and or outlook each season due to the conservative history of our Owner, Coaches, and GMs of the past, but this just absolutely feels different.
  11. This. TEs, like RBs, should never be drafted in the 1st round.
  12. Rhule gave Ian Thomas 16 mil over 3 years one season ago. He has managed less thank 1k in that same 5 year timeframe as Hurst with his best season coming his rookie year. I think we can all agree Hurst is better. Also, only 13 Million of that contract is guaranteed for Hurst (Thomas will get roughly 8-9 Million when it's all said and done thanks to the guarantees and restructure). Neither will see the full value of either contracts.
  13. Hurst was a 25 YO rookie TE when he was drafted. He has done about as well as I expected him to do since he has been drafted. We haven't been able to do much at the position ever since Greg started getting injured and Cam couldn't throw the ball any more. He's a very fluid athlete with great hands. Looking at his previous stops he didn't explode for various reasons: BAL- they happened to draft a Mark Andrews so they didn't use Hurst as much. Hurst is an Average TE, Andrews is a top 3. Simple as that. ATL - 4th option behind Julio, Gage, and Ridley but Still had a good year in 2020. Then fell off with the new Staff in 2021 after drafting a generational talent at the position in Pitts that year. New scheme wasn't great for the team all around and the entire passing offense struggled since Arthur Smith loves to run the ball. CIN - Afterthought in a loaded offense, 5th in terms of targets but still caught damn near everything thrown his way (76% Catch rate). Dude's career Catch rate is really good (71%) and TEs tend to have the best years of their careers from their late 20's into their early 30s. I would not be surprised to see Hurst put up similar respectable numbers to what he did in ATL in 2020 - 500 yards, 6TDs. Dude wasn't worth a first rounder, but to me that was more because of his age than anything. He is an AVG TE where we had a bottom 3 TE Room under Rhule, and we aren't breaking the bank to pay him. I don't anticipate we have a certified #1 receiver this year. I expect our top 3 to hover around similar stats. So if Chark, TMJ, and Thielen each get an average of 700 yards, Hurst gets 500, Sanders gets 400, Mingo gets another 400, and Shenault/Byrd/everyone else add another 200 Total - That gives Bryce 3,600 yards passing, which is pretty damn good for a rookie and puts him at #12 in passing yards last season behind Aaron Rodgers. I trust this staff to scheme these guys open, and I trust Bryce, hell even Andy Dalton, to throw to any of these dudes that are open.
  14. I really can't understand this ranking. Based on personnel alone we are firmly in the middle of the pack. Even excluding Sanders who is coming off a pro-bowl year, our weapons are average across the board. That means we have no superstars but it also means we have no weak links all the way down. If someone goes down, we aren't in trouble, in fact our production from the WR position probably won't decrease much at all, it's not because they're bad, they just aren't superstars.
  15. I expect us to be this season's version of the Jaguars. Slow start, ramped up to playoff contender by the end of the season. Coaching staff is too talented to finish dead last in our division, especially when Dennis Allen coaches in our division. Fun Fact, Dennis Allen has a worse Career Win Percentage than Matt Rhule:
  16. If I knew how to do it, it would have been done ages ago.
  17. And we have a D Coordinator who has a reputation for scheming to his players' strengths instead of trying to force them into fitting the scheme. I'm getting hype guys.
  18. That's where I am at the moment. Whichever unit is stronger, it helps the weaker unit. Between the two groups, when healthy, we're deeper at CB. The available Pass rushers via trade/FA are better than the current CBs available via trade/FA. It'd be easier to upgrade the pass rushing unit, which would in turn help the DBs. The available DBs are a bunch of castoffs and JAGs.
  19. His vision is honestly not great, but he has a second gear that he hits when he does get to a hole and then busts out chunk yardage. I think Foreman is a better pure RB with lower top-end speed, but Sanders is faster and a better receiver out of the backfield so he's more versatile. I think we probably slightly payed too much for him but I get why we did it. Even then, his contract is not Cap breaking and we can maneuver it easily enough if he starts to suck.
  20. Same number of meaningful games that we have played in his tenure
  21. Some guy is going around trying to interview every starting QB the Browns have had since 99 and he recently sat down with our good buddy DA. The majority of the interview is about his time in Cleveland, but around the 26 Minute Mark (I have it time stamped) He talks about his time in Arizona and how dysfunctional the organization was, which then directly leads to his time in Carolina since AZ never filed the paperwork to actually release him.. Once he gets to talking about us, it's all praise about how much he loved it. Talks about the super bowl run, his relationship with Cam, and becoming the "The Bucc Fuccer" DA was good people. Entertaining interview all around and provides solid insight on his time in Cleveland and that dysfunction as well. Will keep my eyes out for when he interviews Delhomme.
  22. I tend to be very pragmatic and cautious with my predictions for our record each year. If Young can stay healthy and play halfway decently I see no reason we can't win 10 games this season and at least make the playoffs as a wildcard team. The completely overhauled offensive skill groups, our New offensive brain trust, our new DC with the talent already on the roster, there's no reason we shouldn't make the playoffs.
