The 2 minute drill was the first time he played with any urgency all game. His dropbacks have been so lackadaisical thus far, he needs to get back to the right depth and play in rhythm. When he did that he was throwing dots.

For real. It's cool to see the passion and how everyone is bummed, but it seems expectations were too high in general at the beginning of the season. I can not get as upset and agro as everyone seems to be these days.

Scott Fitterer Set Us Back A Decade w/ Two Trades
Ricky Spanish replied to App Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
We have a first round pick in 2025. At worst we find out Bryce sucks next year and then draft his replacement then. -
As a GM, what is Scott Fitterer good at?

Soooo Bryce Young will never QB sneak???
Ricky Spanish replied to Basbear's topic in Carolina Panthers
"Cam Newton had a career rushing average of 5yards/carry. Why don't other QBs like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning just run the ball on 3rd and short when the average for this insanely athletic QB would easily convert it." Really though I think it comes down to you can do some things with some QBs and not other things with other QBs. It's not an issue until it is. -
Soooo Bryce Young will never QB sneak???
Ricky Spanish replied to Basbear's topic in Carolina Panthers
The only team it's really unstoppable with is the Eagles because they have a generational center and a QB that can squat 600 lbs. No idea if Bryce can sneak it, but he might be small enough for Tremble to yeet him over the line when he's lined up at FB on the draw play. -
Is this thing on?!? Is ANYONE excited?!?

Hurney was the GOAT at first round picks. I hated him as the GM 99% of the time, except when it was our turn in round 1. The guy we pick was going to be a pro-bowl talent at minimum. He should be a first round consultant only.

Kind of was, Urban Meyer wasted his first season much like Rhule wasted 3 of ours. I swear Rhule thanks god every day that Meyer was coaching the same time he was because he would have gotten waaaaaaaaay more heat for being a failed college coach if Urban hadn't been both a bad coach and terrible person while doing it.

Cleveland has a great defense though.

I don't know if we can fairly assess him in week 2 of his 3rd year because Matt Rhule had a lot of sway the first year he was here, and we don't know how much say he had last year as well. I think we need to have that conversation at year's end to really identify the good he has done for this franchise, because frankly, there have been a lot more whiffs than hits so far. Ironically enough, I don't have as much ire for him as Hurney, because with Fit, the randomness and aggressiveness are at least fun, compared to the predictive clockwork of Hurney - Draft first round stud, fug around the rest of the draft, sign some bum FAs, overpay a mid tier talent, have a losing season. Rinse repeat.

They played the Vikings and the bears so far, two teams everyone knew would have absolutely abysmal defenses this season. Call me after the Eagles game next week.

Seconded TickPick. Limited fees and I'm seeing prices starting at $51 per seat in the 500 section that game. Not sure the price range or seating area you wanted, but You can also click on the ticket and see what the view looks like at the seat. Also, it's riskier but you can probably get a cheaper price day of the game. Good luck.

Really is pretty hardcore. Mad respect for BC on that one.

QB School: Bryce Young - Week 1 @ Falcons
Ricky Spanish replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
You'd be surprised how often the phrase "I don't care who started it" is sent along with the warnings. -
Ironically enough, the mantra actually really works with the team's current standing. Keep pounding through the suck. Don't stop. Power through.

I don't know if we win but I think the passing offense looks better minus the line play which will probably not look as good with the BC Injury and shifting around.

Gotta make sure you wear those light colors in September games so the uniform doesn't absorb the sun at 10:00 at night. Grand scheme of things, not a big deal.

WR who will potentially hit the FA Market in 2024: Mike Evans Tyler Boyd Curtis Samuel Cedrick Wilson OBJ (Jesus Christ it's) Kendrick Bourne Jamal Agnew Marquise Brown Calvin Ridley Jakeem Grant Tee Higgins Michael Pittman Jr. Chase Claypool Josh Reynolds Tre'quan Smith Van Jefferson Parris Campbell Devin Duvernay Mecole Hardman Gabe Davis Darnell Mooney KJ Osborn Donovan Peoples-Jones Nelson Agholor Chark and Shenault are also FA's at the end of the year. Of the above mentioned, Tee Higgins and Calvin Ridley are the only potential #1's but it's not guaranteed that either actually make it to FA. There are solid #2 option guys on there like Evans, Bourne, Boyd, Brown, Pittman, Davis, Peoples-Jones, OBJ and Osborn. The rest are #3+ options.
