I have no idea how good Williams will be because I haven't bothered looking at any QB prospects this year because we have no first round pick and we have Bryce. All I know about Williams is that he's like the poster child Gen Z kid and boomers hate him for it. So I hope he succeeds, just not as much as Bryce and never against us.

It's easier to get guys open if you send them in motion. Not sure what Canales' tendencies are there, but we were damn near dead last last season when Reich was the play caller and the lack of separation showed. If we do take someone not named McConkey I would expect motion to help assist in getting the players open more consistently. At least that's what a competent coach would do. Jury's still out on the new guy.

Check out this fan mockup of what an update to those jerseys would look like: What could have been. -

Don't hate the red alternates. The H looks like a baseball logo. The slight upgrade to the main uni is fine. Not too drastic but an update to a dated look. -

From the numerous draft profiles I have read since the DUI, said DUI was not surprising to scouts in the least. -

Smith Sr. & Zierlein discuss their top 10 WRs

If he can stay healthy. His style of play at his size does not lead to being healthy often. -
It's about that little birdie time in a few days

Doesn't help that some people scare potential insiders away by being unnecessarily dickish and combative for no reason. I always looked at it as take what is said with a grain of salt, but some people get aggro if things aren't 100% right all the time.- 52 replies

The Athletic Dane Brugler's 7-round mock draft specular

I actually really like this and have Brooks on my want list. I'd sub one of the 5th and beyond picks for WR Jalen Coker but other than that I'm good with it. -
PFF Day 2 WR projection. Different take

Good slot guy, but I want a guy who has the outside potential/versatility. Everyone I listed above except for Washington has X potential, except Polk who I think will be a great WR2 in the NFL. I dunno why, just not super high on Wilson. -

Franklin is one of the guys I have reservations about - Others being Coleman, Leggette, Pearsall and Worthy. Guys I'm higher on in no particular order: Ladd McConkey AD Mitchell Javon Baker Malik Washington Ja'Lynn Polk Jalen Coker -
Offensively, maybe, I don't know, the pats offense was a mess once mcdaniels and Brady left and he did some really dumb and weird things to replace them - but defensively? Dude still has it and is one of the most adaptable/brilliant defensive minds in the game. I haven't watched it, but apparently the new Pats docuseries threw a ton of unnecessary shade Bill's way, so much so that former players were jumping to his defense for the way he was portrayed in the show.

I will unironically get a JJ Jersey when he retires.

I just tore something watching that.

Falcons Tampering: Punishment Speculation

Florio is a drama queen and I doubt anything substantial actually comes from it. -
Man, Luke highlights are something else. Cam was great, he's our MVP and probably most important player ever. Smitty was electric and one of the best pound for pound players. Peppers was a legend due to being from the area and his longevity. But Luke? For my money he's the best player we've ever had. As great as all those other guys were at their respective games, no one was as consistently elite as Luke was. A down year for Luke was ONLY a second team all-pro nod. Dude was just an all-time great.

Honestly, Moton is the epitome of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" idiom. I feel like moving on from him would cause significantly more headaches than keeping him. I personally look at Moton as a borderline top 10 RT (hovering around the 10 spot consistently). But the difference between even the number 10 and the number 15 best tackle is bigger than the gap between the 5th and 10th best.
-
Yeah but, add another year tot he contract, give him another 15 mill and spread the hit across the years? Is that possible?
-
Can someone explain the reasoning behind not extending Moton? For how good Moton has been, how consistent he has been, his health, and his age, I don't see why we can't add a few more years onto the end and make it a true extension/restructure that fixes the lopsidedness of the contract. I guess it's possible that he is just refusing to restructure/extend because he himself is in a wait and see approach for how things progress moving forward - you can't extend/restructure without the player agreeing to it.
