  1. I think Pass rushing has evolved over the past decade or so, and you will see guys moved all over formations based on defensive looks and matchups. The best Pass rushers in the league don't stay on one side anymore, they get moved around to create better matchups and stunt from down to down. Myles Garret spent 366 snaps on the right side (LT) and 334 on the Left side (RT) back in 2020 (Quickest and easiest googling I could find on the subject). That's pretty even, and he's not the only one. Micah Parsons, TJ Watt, JJ Watt, etc. all move or moved around throughout the games. Strictly blindside rushers aren't really a thing anymore.
  2. This is comparable to the last Matt Rhule year, but with slightly more hope. There was 0 hope that 3rd Rhule season. I know I personally am willing to give the new HC some grace since he was given fuck-all to work with in terms of a roster core after Rhule, Fitt, and Reich blew it all to hell.
  3. I know it's not the end all be all but Moton has had a better PFF Grade over his entire career compared to Turner's 5 pro bowl seasons Moton - Career average over 6 seasons - 75.96 Turner's Best 5 seasons average - 70.1 (and that's with his last season included where he didn't deserve the pro bowl and graded out 63.9) In fact Moton's worst year was comparable to Turner's Career average (69.3 to 70.1). Moton has been more consistent and has been better all but one year in comparison.
  4. I'd argue he's top 3 behind only Kalil and Gross. Turner was good, but he played on our best team ever and next to Kalil who made his life easier. The team's success made him look better than he was, which isn't bad, just not absolutely amazing. Moton has been a rock over the worst stretch our franchise has ever seen. If he were on the Cowboys, Chiefs, or 49ers he'd be getting pro bowl nods and accolades every single year. He's arguably the most underrated O-Lineman in the league. I'd say Wharton and Turner were roughly on the same level, just Turner saw more individual success as a result of the team's (and Cam specifically) success.
  5. I actually changed the 'x' to 'twitter' in the url box before copying. That seemed to do the trick. changing it once it's been pasted into the forum makes the hamsters upset it seems. Jank
  6. No, Rhule was a CEO type and a complete dickhead. There was an article after we hired him and in it, it talked about how he would bitch at his coaches and threatened to fire them mid-game for poor performances. His rah rah had no substance and he tried to lord over grown men like they were college kids. No idea if Canales is the guy, but his answers in his pressers sure have more substance and reason rather than soundbites and catchphrases.
  7. No hate for Eddy Money, but I don't know if he's making a smart decision by not being there, especially if the Thiccer Kicker is dropping 60 yard bombs.
  8. Right? I haven't bailed the Bryce boat yet, but come week 5 or 6 he has shown zero improvement I'll be ready to take whoever the new hotness is at that point.
  9. Big fan of this guys content, been watching for years. Eats his crow about how he was wrong about his high opinion of the team last year. Solid breakdown and goes in depth everywhere. Very complimentary of what we have done this offseason. Also there's this bit about the QB position at around 43:30: He goes on to talk about the guard play was the worst in the league, the play design sucked, the play calling sucked, the WRs couldn't separate, there was no run game, and on top of it all there was a ton of bad luck that made things go from bad to worse whether it be bad spots from refs, fumbles on successful looking drives, big plays being called back, and unfortunate and untimely drops. Everything that could go wrong last season, did go wrong. That's why I'm not completely writing Bryce off yet, even though many already have. See what he does with even competent level supporting cast and coaching. Here's to hoping Canales and co can provide at least that much.
  10. You're right. To be fair to you, you've been calling him a bust since AT LEAST week 4.
  11. There were some. There were legitimately some. I remember one or two posters in particular that shat on CMC the entire rookie campaign and said Kamara was the better RB and CMC couldn't make people miss, "Couldn't juke or even hurdle" anyone, and a few other thinly veiled skin pigment related criticisms. They don't talk much on here anymore.
  12. Regarding the Vibes thread from a few days ago, this is what I'm talking about. These are more than just standard coachspeak answers. There's no "DBO" catchphrases, no "gotta be tougher and stronger" BS, no "1% better each practice" with little to no detail in the responses. "How's the QB looking?" "Good! Here's what we're doing, what he does well, and what we are working on as we go through the practices. We will be doing different things each day, etc. etc." Again, no idea if he knows his poo or is even competent, but it's nice to hear more tangible answers.
  13. Based solely on his pressers, I dig his vibe, and I am an agnostic-atheist. Seems like he is an emotionally intelligent guy, something Rhule severely lacked and I have no idea if Frank knows what that means. He has energy and seems sincere when he talks, which Rhule never did, and Frank looked lost out there. His answers seem thoughtful and less coach-speaky, which I find refreshing. He SEEMS competent, but I have no idea just how competent he is. I'm interested to see how well the team Morgan put together for him does. There seemed like a more cohesive plan going into the offseason based on who we signed and drafted, and we haven't had one of those in years, it was just: Step 1: Get QB Step 2: Figure the rest out later I suppose we'll see. It's nice having a dude with positive energy, not zero energy like Reich, nor coked up car salesman energy like Rhule.
  14. I don't expect him to break KB's 1008 rookie receiving yards. KB got force fed the ball, we will have Thielen and Johnson ahead of him in terms of yards and catches imo.
  15. That was the one I saw where he looked terrified and ran through his read. Zero confidence or Rhythm back there.
  16. Solid breakdown. Don't agree with everything but I agree with a lot. On some of the plays he blamed on Bryce, I think it was a play design/play progression issue and not necessarily Bryce missing seeing open guys, but then again, should he have been able to recognize the players who would be open based on coverage pre-snap as his super processor was supposed to be his best trait? Bryce's confidence was shot by this game and you could see him rush through his reads on multiple plays. Hopefully that gets better this year and we didn't completely ruin him and make him gunshy a la David Carr. I know Canales is big on the fundamentals so I am hoping to see better footwork and timing related to it on the play designs this coming season.
  17. before even finishing the video, I dig the guy's vibe. Appreciate the commitment to watching without rage baiting.
  18. He is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Sanders. He is also SIGNIFICANTLY more injury prone than any RB that I can remember in the past decade.
  19. Not that anything I say is going to change your mind, but it sure looks like you're looking for reasons to hate Tepper for this draft when there wasn't any evidence that he was overbearing this time around. Plenty of evidence in past drafts, front and center, wife fielding calls, going to pro days, etc. but this one, I haven't seen anything that says he was pulling strings this time around. It's like you saw him in the draft room and got immediately pissed at his face, which is valid to some degree, but damn near every owner is in the war room during the draft. If this draft sucks I think it's 100% on Dan and Canales this time. There was no FO consensus on who we picked but Dan and Dave seem to be on the same page.
