  1. If only someone around here had the power to put him in at tackle and not throw him around everywhere else
  2. Can someone just ask with the line performing so poorly all year, why did it take him until the last few weeks of the season to put BC at his college position of Tackle? Why did he wait for the last game of the year to put in brown? What is his obsession with "ideal size"?
  3. I'm almost positive we are going after either Trubisky or Mariota in the offseason. If we don't, prepare for Pickett at 6.
  4. Damn, @Growl with the clairvoyance in this thread
  5. *Checks initial reaction from first page of the thread
  6. Don't listen to the radio, will these guys grill him or kiss his ass?
  7. Wow, what an owner. Seems like he actually cares. Let's check in on Tepper:
  8. I'm actively rooting for us to interview poo candidates. How sad is that? Like, I should want a great candidate to helm our offense as a fan of this team, but if he brings in someone decent, he stays our HC next year. If he brings in someone terrible, he might get fired this year. If he brings in someone terrible and we hire them, then we will suck and he will be fired but not until next year. I feel like there's only one winning strategy here.
  9. I just gave my two weeks on Friday, I'm mentally checked out of current job so I have more time to bitch and shitpost about how much Matt Rhule sucks. I am legitimately sorry.
  10. This list is not comprehensive, but it does show the company Rhule would keep, if he were their equal: Mike McCoy Ben McAdoo Mike Singletary Eric Mangini Marc Trestman Mike Mularkey Ken Whisenhunt Adam Gase Doug Marrone Tom Cable Jim Schwartz Jim Tomsula Greg Schiano Romeo Crennel Matt Patricia Steve Spurrier Jim Zorn Of the roughly 130 HCs in the NFL that have coached at least two seasons since 2000, only 11 coaches have a worse overall win percentage than our boy Rhule does.
  11. I feel compelled to lock the thread because this answer is absolutely perfect.
  12. We didn't do Ron dirty. Hell, we gave him a farewell press conference because he was so well respected. It was a mutually beneficial parting in the middle of the season. Ron Knew he wouldn't be back, and Tepper knew he wanted someone new, so Tepper gave Ron a head start to find a new job, and gave us a head start to find and hire the BEST head coach (LOL) candidate available.
  13. Sheena, baby, don't get my hopes up.
  14. OK so 1) I applaud you for attempting to be rational when so many on here (myself included) are not at the moment. 2) Firing Ron was not the wrong move. Sometimes it's just time. Happened with Andy Reid. Happened with Doug Pederson. Happened with Mike McCarthy. It happened with Ron too. 3) Two years is not too soon to fire a coach. If they don't produce within the first two years or show a downward trend from year one to year two, it's time to cut bait and run. One year can be too soon unless the coach is a complete dumpster fire (ie Urban Meyer). 4 )"Hiring the best position coaches available will be a huge step in the right direction for the offense" - I have my doubts that a) Rhule can even identify the best available coaches, and b) If he blind squirrels it, Why would they want to work here with Rhule who is a potential lame duck HC who has been throwing assistants under the bus? OC for the Panthers under Rhule is one of the least attractive open positions right now. 5) Rhule should absolutely not have final say on rosters moving forward as he is dildos at talent evaluation, as well as putting players in a position to succeed (See Chinn moving to Safety, Playing BC at Guard all year until injuries forced him to have the best games at T all season, "Short arms", Deonte Brown not getting any significant time to evaluate him in game situations when John Miller is literally the worst starting guard in the NFL, etc.) 6) Darnold is broken and no amount of coaching will fix him. He has been the worst QB in the league the past 4 years. He is a lost cause even if he were behind the Cowboys lines from the 90s.
  15. Jackson got exposed down the stretch. First half of his year was better than the second half, and once again, he couldn't complete a full season. Gilmore, while older, is the better corner. Would love to keep him but it really depends on what kind of money he is asking for.
  16. Dude's other resume items included the 2019 Chargers who were the worst OL in the league that year as well.
  17. End of the season. We start out strong with a 4-2 record then go 1-10 the rest of the way.
  18. Someone send Pep a DM and tell him to stay away from this dumpster fire. He doesn't need this shitstain on his resume.
  19. I consider myself one of the more consistently level headed dudes on here. I'm 100% balls in fire these chucklefugs and start over.
  20. And he did it with Sam Darnold as his QB. Rhule has won 10 over two years with the benefit of an extra game. This is shaping up to be a VERY similar situation when literally everyone knows the right move is to fire the coach and move on but ownership is being too pigheaded to do it.
