  1. For all you "It AkTuAlLy TaKeS fIvE yEaRs To ReBuIlD fOr SuStAiNeD sUcCeSs" Crowd, I'll share what I posted back in January: Nick Sirianni - Playoffs in his first year after trading away the Team's starting QB in the offseason. Cowboys - In the Playoffs year two under McCarthy Mike Vrabel - Playoffs in year 2 in TN Andy Reid took the Chiefs to the postseason his first year after finishing with a 2-14 record in 2012 Sean McDermott took the bills to the playoffs in his first year after 18 years of the Bills missing the postseason Frank Reich took his team to the playoffs in his first year as HC after not being able to even pick his own staff in 2018 and the Colts were 4-12 in 2017 Sean McVay took the rams to the playoffs year one of his tenure when the rams hadn't made it to the postseason since 2004. Kevin Stefanski took the Browns to the playoffs after a drought of 17 years Matt Nagy (sucks) still took the bears to the playoffs with a 12-4 record after a year of 5-11 Brandon Staley in the playoff hunt year 1 of his tenure as HC of the chargers Bruce Arians - Playoffs in year two**thanks to assistant HC Tom Brady Arthur Goddamn Smith has won more games in his first year with a poo roster and no offensive line than Matt fuging Rhule has in either of his first two seasons. Riverboat Ron - Playoffs year one in the dumpster fire that is DC It Doesn't Take That Long To Turn A Franchise Around. I have accepted the fact that Rhule is here for year 3. My expectations are not high, and I want the team to succeed and I will cheer and eat crow if Rhule does. I'm not holding my breath though.
  2. 3rd win will be against the cardinals. Ever since that playoff game we have been out for blood.
  3. Quinn's logic wasn't egregious. Liked Ridder better than Corral in the draft Mariota has never finished a season because he always gets hurt Ran a pro offense in college Honestly wasn't that bad. Just the dude's opinion. Don't see what the fuss was about.
  4. https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/tarik-cohen-mental-health-nfl-football Is he a Panther? No, but I want nothing but good things to happen to him from this day forward. I hope we kick the tires on him and bring him in as a returner if it turns out Roberts has lost a step. Hell, bring him in for RB depth. Just bring him home, Jesus, he's been through enough already.
  5. It just means we are picking the best athletes and banking on our coaches to turn those athletes into football players. Bare minimum you have an athletic freak on your team that you can put in at certain situations. I understand the concept. I'd be more interested in seeing the RAS of more successful organizations like the Steelers, Ravens, and Patriots. That would be a better indicator of how relative RAS is to overall team success.
  6. Carr is the new Stafford man. He is not the problem in LV. The organization is. They have drafted like crap and failed to build around him, much like Detroit used to do with Stafford.
  7. You're right, Matt Rhule would NEVER...
  8. Never wanted Watson, even before the SA allegations against him. Cost was too steep. Team is/was too incomplete even without him. This way we keep future draft assets and have a ton more cap space to better fill out the roster.
  9. Even if Corral isn't it, Neither is Mayfield, and Corral is a hell of a lot cheaper.
  10. Guess we shouldn't have bothered picking up Burns' 5th year option then... "Average" is an improvement to what we currently have opposite Burns. Two "Average" pass rushers with one being a stout run defender automatically improves our defense as opposed to having one "average" pass rusher who is bad at run defense and some Jags opposite him.
  11. Would improve our Run Defense IMMEDIATELY. Clowney never became the pass rusher he was supposed to be but he is one of the best run defenders in the league. I would sign him on a 2 year deal in a heartbeat.
  12. My question is, who gives you a better shot at winning more games this year - Darnold, or Foles? Foles isn't a world beater by any stretch of the imagination, but he's at least competent. Plus he's cheap.
  13. I didn't necessarily expect the playoffs last year, but I did expect to see improvement across the board. What we got was a better defense and an absolutely horrific offense that he helped put together thanks to the players he wanted. It was one step forward (defense) and two steps back (offense). We need to take at least one step forward on offense and at least stay roughly the same on defense in order to compete this year. I am not as high on our defense this coming season as I was last offseason due to the limited pass rushers and weak run defense on paper. Secondary looks legit. We shall see.
  14. I've been kicking this idea around in my head for a bit now. IF we add another vet QB, then what's the point in keeping Darnold around? We're on the hook for his money anyway, it's already counting against the books. If we bring in another vet QB it is to "compete" for the starting job, and let's face it, the vet QB would win that battle handily vs. Darnold. At that point, the new vet QB is the starter and Corral is going to be learning under him. New vet QB will put the team in a better position to win this year than Darnold ever would, and Corral would be the backup to learn under him. Why keep Darnold? Trade him for pennies on the dollar, or outright release him. It's a sunk cost either way, why keep him around if you KNOW he isn't the long term answer?
  15. His delivery has really tightened up since HS. Also they said he had the strongest arm in camp since Matt Stafford... Dang.
  16. That'd be fuging great! I don't know how likely that will be though. I'm at the acceptance stage of the grieving process so he is the coach going into next year and I as a panther fan want the team to win so I will be rooting for them. If the first month is anything like the last 3 months of last season, I'm out until Rhule is fired though.
  17. I bet he goes 4 because he was the 4th QB chosen. Either that or 9 because he was picked in the 90s. He strikes me as the kind of guy to do that sort of thing.
  18. I think the deciding factor between howell and Corral was the release. Corral's is elite quick, Howell's is downright slow and telegraphed. In the WC offense McAdoo wants to run, it makes sense to go with the guy with the quicker release.
  19. As a fellow 34 year old, nothing makes you feel older than people saying a 34 year old is old.
  20. Great channel with a ton of prospect breakdowns not limited to QBs. He did one for our new boy: Some good, some bad, plenty to be optimistic about.
  21. I personally, was not a fan of Chuba last year. His balance was crap, he fell all the time, and his hands were stone. Yes the line sucked, but he also did himself no favors. I understand why we went out and got Foreman. He is definitely the goal-line back, but he also showed he is capable of being a team's RB2 when Henry went down. I firmly believe that Foreman becomes the team's true RB2 next season and Chuba ends up RB3.
