  1. Man, I don't know why you keep harping on college stats for Young then saying AR is the next GOAT because reasons even though his stats aren't good. The cognitive dissonance is ridiculous.
  2. I think one of the biggest knocks against Jones is that he's going to be a 25 year old rookie this year. That's generally when the best Receivers break out, not when they are just starting. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up because the guy can run some routes and has some hands.
  3. Oh man, this video by that guy is going to Russel some Jimmies: "Cam Newton is a crybaby leader. He's not a very good leader when it comes to leading a football team. Numerous players like Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis have been better leaders, Steve Smith has been a better leader for the panthers... The only year where he was an elite QB was his MVP Year."
  4. Looking at the guy's video history, it seems like he just echoes whatever Phil Simms says and makes a video about it. Pobody's Nerfect, but that guy doesn't seem to have the best track record.
  5. Bryce or Steve? But for real, is he an anomaly because height bias, or because short QBs can't actually play QB? I'm inclined to believe it's bias since there have been quite a few shorter QBs having some levels of success in the NFL, especially recently (Brees, Wilson, Murray, etc.). As the game evolves, conventional wisdom gives way to actual wisdom, and height really doesn't seem to be an actual issue with QBs, it's more a narrative built up by the type of scouts who won't draft a guy because his girlfriend is ugly. Kind of like how they wouldn't let the athletic kids play QB back in the day, they switched them to another position. Now we have human highlight reels like Newton, Jackson, Allen, and potentially Richardson that can throw as well as run, adding a new dimension to offenses that older generations never would have even believed was possible. I dunno, I'm inclined to believe Bryce. He is super thin though. Gonna need to add some meat to his frame.
  6. If that kind of stuff happens then the NFLPA, as a union, needs to step in and prevent the players from playing the game. Full stop. You can't say "This field is so unsafe, they can't play on it!" and then immediately let them play on it. Actually do something about it. Hit the NFL where it hurts, their wallets, to prevent another situation happening like that again. Call for the game to be postponed until the field is up to par and don't let the players play under those circumstances. Y'know, actually be a union. If that ever happens and the NFL, let alone Tepper, lose out on some money, you best believe we're getting grass reinstalled posthaste.
  7. Just link your other posts man. It's easier and people can choose to read it.
  8. I'm making a blanket fort on my back porch, skulling a bottle of Moscato, and eating a ton of chicken wings with the homies. You know, same thing I do every draft.
  9. Charlie Jones seems pretty legit, would love to draft him in the 3rd or so.
  10. Poor CJ just isn't comfortable talking in interviews. Very wooden and uptight. Don't blame him at all, that poo would terrify me. Kid's probably a real cutup with his friends.
  11. We didn't really do anything to support DJ Moore though. We gave him the corpse of Cam Newton, Teddy two gloves, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, and PJ Walker, and he still put up multiple 1k seasons. I do agree though - I think he's a solid #1, but not elite, Top 25-15 WR in the league. But Bryce is a dawg in his own right, it's just different than Stroud. Stroud came from nothing and worked hard to reach the peak while having all the physical traits wanted in a QB. Young steps on the field at 5'10" and is the best player out there against grown men half a foot taller than he is. That's some Smitty-like dawg. Not as aggressive and unhinged as Smitty, but definitely impressive given their physical limitations.
  12. So are you just crotchety towards everyone until they give you a reason to respect them? I just ask because respect is a default setting for me, with anyone I meet, until they give me a reason to treat them otherwise. Support is a default setting for any new panther player, unless they were on a rival/did something heinous or were a dick to the Panthers that makes me take time to warm up to them (a la Roman Harper). I genuinely don't understand the "earn my support" mentality toward a rookie that we draft. I can understand being hesitant with a vet player/coach/gm/owner, but not a kid who has done nothing yet and didn't even have a say in where he was drafted.
  13. Exactly one month ago I made this thread looking to re-make it about a week away from the draft to get a better idea of where everyone lies in regards to who they want as the team's future signal caller: I'm back with the same questions as the last thread, I just want to know if the general consensus has changed in the past month leading up to the draft next week. Mine has changed personally as I lean one way more than the other now. Wanted to see where other people stand.
  14. My brother in Christ, that article was written a month ago. At least post the recent videos/mocks/Analysis with Stroud at 1.
  15. Young, Stroud, Richardson all make sense. Whoever we like best, I like best.
  16. I don't know what I want to happen more, the meltdown for being wrong or the meltdown for being right.
  17. Dude has the best arm talent in terms of strength + accuracy + Placement of the entire class. Plenty to love about Stroud.
  18. I swear, if we don't draft Stroud we should just ban you based on principle.
