Biggest Boom or Bust Position Group?
Ricky Spanish replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Me personally, I don't think Mingo sees the field much at all this season. IF (And this is honestly a longshot based on their history) Chark and TMJ are healthy, I see them taking over the 1 and 2 WRs with Thielen as our slot option and main red zone target. We'll have some plays schemed up for Shenault throughout the game to utilize his run after catch abilities, and then there's also Hurst and Sanders getting targets as well. That leaves Mingo, the rookie, on the outskirts with not much to do unless someone gets hurt. Next year if we move on from Chark or TMJ Falls flat, I can see Mingo sliding into the #2 receiver. But if our receivers stay healthy, I don't anticipate him doing much this year. -
Any updates on who we signed after rookie minicamp?

Looks like Reich is familiar with Jennings, he was on Indy's roster for a bit in 2021. Jennings was on the Texans for a beat and Jackson was doing his thing in the XFL. Stevenson was drafted by Buffalo in 2021 in the 6th round. Scott was drafted by GB in 2020 in the 7th round. Wilson is the first player from Quincy University to get signed to an NFL Roster. He tore his achilies last fall but might have been a late round pick if that hadn't happened. Youngest of the guys we signed. Everyone but Wilson is aged 25/26 -
Panthers signing XFL superstar DT

This comment is Tommy Maddox erasure and I won't have it. -
If the Aints didn't want Dalton, why Should we ?
Ricky Spanish replied to Day1PanthersFan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'll expand on this further. @Day1PanthersFan, you're being obtuse if you think Dalton is genuinely believed to be the starter of the team. No one anywhere says that's going to happen. He was brought in to help mentor whatever QB we chose, as well as a proven spot starter in the event said rookie gets hurt or needs some time to get up to the speed of the game in the NFL. He in currently penciled in as the starting QB for semantics reasons. It will not stay that way. Anyone with critical thinking skills realizes and knows this which is why you're being dragged so hard by everyone in this thread. -

This was really entertaining and I loved it but you're all also sleeping on the Chargers' Anime Part 2 release video:

For me I think Atlanta is our bigger rival due to the geography and how close we are to each other, but I hate the Saints more, if that makes sense? Either way I'll never get tired of chanting "85 SOUTH" whenever we beat ATL at home.

He's our offensive line's Andy Dalton

From what I remember hearing the past few seasons, Erving is a vocal leader and strong locker room presence that the guys all love. He's not a starter, but he's a solid backup with experience literally everywhere on the line, and great for jumbo packages. I have no issue with this whatsoever.

As completely unhinged as this is, Rippadonn has a fantastic podcasting voice.

Dang.. I guess we made a huge mistake?
Ricky Spanish replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
I really don't think his situations the past two seasons have done him any favors but he's still probably an average starter at best in the league. Like a tier below Derek Carr at best.- 85 replies

Too much show boating on that first one. Go run laps.

That was a fun year until it wasn't. That pump fake was an all timer too. Juked the camera man hard.

Panthers have one of NFL's most 'obsessive' fanbases
Ricky Spanish replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's been more abusive than obsessive the past 3 years or so, but I fall firmly in the question 2 category. -
Interesting tidbit around 10:00 about CJ Stroud. Smitty talks about how he thinks Young will succeed based on the person he is and the interactions he's randomly had with him, then says "I can't speak on CJ because I haven't met him like I have Young, but I've heard some things and I am not in the business of snitching."

Panthers signing Yannick Ngakoue?
Ricky Spanish replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Clowney is an "A" Run defender and a "C" pass rusher. He's like Reggie Bush. He wasn't worth the high pick, but he has had a solid career and isn't a bust. He'd be a plus add to our line and would probably get more sacks than rookie DJ Johnson. I wouldn't be against adding Floyd, Clowney, or Ngakoue, but between the three Clowney is probably the most well balanced. Wouldn't pay nearly what he thinks he's probably worth though. -
OP it's right there... It's a Bryce cream bar...

Man this is hard. Top 3 are obviously Cam, Peppers, and Luke, pick your own order. After that it gets Murky. CMC was a bonafide game changing stud, and even though he's athletic as hell, he optimized his gifts by working his ass off. TD was a freak of nature that flourished once he found a home at OLB. Morgan was a monster when healthy, but couldn't stay on the field. Luke 1.0 Jenkins was a brick wall who dominated games on his own at times. Smitty was a stud but willed himself to greatness through hard work and a psychopathic mentality on the field. Kalil was severely underrated and one of the most cerebral centers in the league when he played. I dunno, you can argue pretty much anyone above and then some.

Gonna get popped for elevated levels of MSG -
That was honestly a great interview. Great questions that weren't too generic and got some good insight on the players we drafted as well as some UDFAs. Good find.

I think the going rate to be an "Official Sponsor of the Carolina Panthers", at least within the industry I work in, is roughly 5 million per year. I would assume the naming rights to the stadium might be significantly higher.
