You guys are a hoot. I have DMs with Verge dating back 12 years where we talked about what she heard from her football sources across the league. I would regularly bother her each draft season to get a morsel of info from her, and she would share it because I wouldn't go posting it across the boards. I stopped bothering her after a while because I felt bad for doing it, but our initial conversation was about how Verge called Cam being the pick before anyone else. Verge has been at this for years. Don't be a dick to Verge.

This is what I have heard as well. Seems like it isn't a bad draft, just not a ton of top end talent. Seems to be way more 2nd round graded guys than years past, so there's plenty of value to be had tonight. I would love to see us trade back into the low to mid 40s, recoup another 3rd rounder and or potential picks next year as well.

Well with Matt Rhule at the helm WE were the poverty franchise that did dumb things, so that reasoning still tracks.

I would not be surprised. I ran a mock draft where they can offer you trades with each pick. I must have traded back 6 times accumulating multiple 2nds, 3rds, and 4ths over the next two years. If he wants to he can completely load us up next year to allow us to trade back up into round 1 if someone falls. We still have our 2nd next season, if we can get a future 2nd or even multiple thirds we have the ammo to make the moves.

I don't see how anyone can not be excited regardless of the QB taken. We have hope, regardless of who we pick. We have no idea what QB is actually going to succeed in the NFL. The draft is a crapshoot that way. I can't get worked up for not picking "my guy" anymore. I didn't want Jimmy Clausen. I didn't want Herbert. I wanted Zach Wilson. I thought Burrow was going to be a stud. I know poo about fug. I'm letting the guys with the actual knowledge and experience pick the guy they think will best succeed and I'm behind the pick 100% regardless of who it is.

You keep avoiding the question why you like Richardson so much if his stats are worse than both Corral and Youngs'. Also, I never said Corral sucks, I just said he wasn't going to ever get a chance to show what he could do because he was drafted into the worst situation imaginable and then got hurt.

I can't put a flash in the pan that high on the list. I get the argument, dude was a menace for two years, but longevity is a contributing factor for me.

Burns over Hardy. Hell I'd put Addison over Hardy. Hardy had one good year followed by a great year then pissed it all away by being stupid. His personality was a contributing factor to his lore which is why people think he was better than he actually was. Burns also has more sacks in 4 years than Hardy did in 5. He's been more consistent. As was Addison - 4 straight years of 9+ sacks is damn good production. Peppers Johnson Rucker Addison Burns Hardy Not a knock on Burns at all, he's only played 4 years though. One more solid year and he jumps Addison and Rucker on my list.

Look at that ridiculous WR drop percentage for OSU. Brian Hartline is a gotdamn wizard. Also shows that Richardson isn't as inaccurate as first glance. Love data like this. One thing this does not chart is how often the receivers ran the wrong/poor route, and you can't really chart that with film without knowing the playcall/design. I'd assume there were more wrong routes run for guys like Levis/Richardson than Stroud or Young.

I don't even know what to believe anymore. It's lying season. Those scores could have been leaked so he could fall to a team outside the top 10. They could be legit but the S2 owner is doing damage control for a potential top 2 pick who took a massive hit after doing poorly on their cognitive test so other future players will pay to take it next season. All I know is we're taking Young at 1 and all your attempts at saying we're taking Stroud are futile.
